Chris Sabat is one of the biggest voice over artists in anime history. If you watch DBZ, just about every other character is voiced by him. Vegeta, Piccolo, Yamcha, Jeice, Demon King Piccolo, King Vegeta, random non-important characters, and tons more. He's kind of my inspiration. Anyone who knows me already knows this since I can do all of the previous said voices lol

Sheesh, there are a lot of funimation haters out there. You have to remember, dubs can only be so good the point of dubs is not to kill an anime but to save you trouble of reading subtitles, that's why i plan to be a voice actor for funimation one day.

i agree. sometimes i can deal with subs but if there's a dubbed version of an anime i'll watch it rather than watch it subbed.

I don't know anything good from FUNimation except claymore and maybe samurai 7 (which I don't think they even produce) and maybe Basilisk. Geneon is way better, although its funny how FUNimation now distributes Geneon's products. In case you're wondering, Geneon's got Trigun, Ergo Proxy, Black Lagoon, Hellsing, Gungrave and such. Bandai and ADV aren't bad either.

Lol sounds like you read that off the FUNimation channel website. Like I said FUNimation distributes Geneon stuff, that's why Black Lagoon and Ergo Proxy are on the website. They are pure Geneon stuff though. I'm not interested in anything else you mentioned, which is why I don't really like FUNimation. Speed Grapher had a poor story. I just don't like chibby, One Piece art style, infinite episode animes, or weird girly anime like melancholy of haruhi suzumiya. I respect that you like FUNi tho.

personally i would never watch an anime dubbed. the feel to it is just not the same, but thats just me. funimation can appeal to those who doesnt mind dubs, but they cannot try and force us who only watch QUALITY subs to watch their ****. leave soul eater and all the other anime u guys sent C&Ds to alone. FUNimation, no matter how many C&Ds u send, a new group will pick up the anime. n if i do buy the series, dont expect it to be from ur "killed" version, i rather have it shipped from japan.

IMHO: Funimation has some of the most talented voice actors and actresses of any animé studio. If you don't like subbed animé, stick with Funimation.

My case in point: I enjoy watching Kodocha dubbed better for two reasons -- Sana (the lead character) talks too fast to read and Laura (the voice over actress) is INCREDIBLE. All the voice actors are great, but Laura stands out especially on this animé.

yes but septhiroth most people here dont wanna read the subtitles, i certainly dont, especially after watching 190 eps of subtitled bleach, then watching dubbed anime. Sure the voice overs arent as good, but i think its safe to say that funi does an excellent if not great job when it comes to voices. I mean watch DB/Z/GT and you know the voices are good, same with FMA and Yu Yu Hakusho. These are great examples of excellent dubbing work! I personally like dubbed anime. Cept for naruto(dubbed)

some dubbed anime are indeed good, i like to watch dubbed one piece and gurren lagann. i watched the whole fate stay night series in english, it is just a matter of which anime are good dubbed or not. A bad example of dubbed anime would be naruto, pokemon, bleach and lucky star.

well im not trying to start an argument, but i have to disagree. Lucky Star is horribly dubbed. i'm a big fan of the original lucky star anime and love the voice acting in the original series. I think the dubbed killed it. In my opinion, i think there are anime which can be dubbed and there are some which can not, lucky star is an example of an anime that i believe can not be dubbed.

You know what you dub bashers forget to realize. That voice actors have to act and match the lip flaps for something that has been animated in a different language. How good are the Japanese voice actors at doing that with American shows? I don't get you guys. Its like you hate the English language even though its your own country.

You put up a good point with this latest post. If someone hears voices of a character one way, then it is always tougher to accept a different version. I've had trouble accepting a dub when it gets rereleased and dubbed by someone else. The new voices aren't bad, its just that I'm used to the others.

Exactly. Has anyone ever listened to the Simpsons in Japanese? Or how most of the references and jokes were butchered to hell? The Japanese are no more superfluous in dubbing a show into another language than the America.

I'm also both pro-dub and sub. There are some anime I prefer in Japanese like Midori Days or Elemental Gelade, and they're others that I find more fitting in English like Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star. It's really a matter of preference.
