  • No, nobody got hurt. Cornice cutting can be very dangerous. It is an attempt to mitigate risk of triggering avalanches when you are skiing/riding. The first rule of cornice cutting is there can be no possibility of anyone below. This video is an example of how far these slides can go and everyone that cuts a cornice must be prepared to take responsibility for the results.

  • WAIT DID ANYONE GET HURT?

  • Sounds like Jay Bright !

  • Thats deep slab down there ;)

  • i am wondering when riding avalanches will be like surfing big waves

  • @xpez that will never happen.... slides like this might not seem so deadly from the prospective of the camera man or even from across on the other side of the valley. but when you see something like that coming towards you close range, you likely wont be alive in 10 minutes unless your lucky enough to be buried with an air bubble. especially in this case, that beast slides like a mile down the mountain.

  • i ride avy's like that for breakfast

  • i dont think i would be skiing that

  • nice shot although u missed a piece ove snow

  • sure beats a compression test, great shot, that lower slab would not have been fun to ride.
