  • Yes. The overpayment would cover the SE taxes, but the form would still need to be filed.

  • If you earned W2 wages and were paid on a 1099 in the same year, and you had overpaid heavily on your federal taxes on the W2 which is more than the Federal and Self Employment taxes owed for the 1099 income, do you still need to file the SE form?
