Saw this on Broadway w/ the original cast. As wonderful as it was (You Won't Succeed on Broaday was worth the price of admission alone!), I have to say, I liked the movie much better.
when someone does a musical based off a movie or book they will change things that they feel dont go will the fllow of the show and also so they can make it thier own
i'm sorry but to be perfectly honest i think Eric Idol ruined it with all the american shit.
that clip is basically supposed to be the statue of liberty singing to the knights of the round table!!! i mean wtf??? THAT WASN'T IN THE FILM IT HAS F*** ALL TO DO WITH THE HOLY GRAIL!!!
oh and Tim Curry plays King Arthur too straight he's supposed to be much more camp
Have you even seen it? Its the Lady of the Lake, not the statue of libarty. Dont cuss stuff you know nothing about.
As for the King Arthur interpretation, the show is 'based' on Holy Grail, not an exact copy of it. There are also other major parts different and things appear which aren't even in the film
people like you are so annoying, you talk about stuff you don't know anything about. I saw spamalot and thought it was alot like the movie and one of the funniest things i have ever seen!! So SHUT UP
what a contrast to the original ending of Holy Grail... Mostly because the movie's ending would never have worked on stage... Love this show... the best theater experience as an audience member I've ever had...
so does this guy spams a lot on youtube?

In my op, Spamalot & Holy Grail are two entirely different entities and are both brilliant in their own ways.

This musical is amazing. I saw it in London! A "must see". And they sing "Always look on the bright side of life" twice and all the audience too:P

Hell, you don't even have to see the musical! Just listen to the soundtrack! Who the HELL would think that she was the Statue of Liberty. <_<
Can't wait till it finds its way to Vegas!

this is not the finale. it part 1 of the finale of act 1. good song though
allsunnofilter 5 years ago
I am aware it is not the finale. I wanted to make the point that things that movie did could not be translated to the stage.
It was this little exhibition at the Tony's that ultimately made me a fan of the show even before I went to the show. The show totally blew me away.
