One of the best books I've ever read. It surprised me to find there's a movie as well. It seems to depict the atmosphere in exactly the same way as the book does. Great achievement!

When I was twelve, I copied the trick of the tortoise-dealing character with the cicadas on threads - I tied a cicada to a thread and was brought up on charges of animal cruelty at my girl scout camp...a big influence on my life. I found out you can get this series on Netflix and I reserved it.
