I remember seeing these on the Boonton Line. We lived a couple blocks from the Rowe Street station and you could hear these things literally chugging along! I also remember standing on the platform at Harrison around 1987 and seeing an E-unit (I think) in this same paint scheme go by tugging a bunch of hodge-podge coaches. I read those were common on the NJCL and the RVL. Must've been one of the last ones around.

awesome wasnt this in the late 80's- early 90's? what year did u take it? i lived in hoboken till 98 but by that time the u34 was long gone.
