Actually, wild horses do understand fear quite well. It is fear that keeps them at a distance from you at first, and it is fear that has to be overcome in every stage of trainging. Everything that you work to desensitize the horse to, he had fear of at the start.
good way to get someone hurt if they try and do this. Also am i the only 1 who noticed the horse's ears where clipped. not cropped, just the hair was removed.
on of the halters is for when you get done riding so that you can tie your horse up to something because you never want to tie a horse up with the reins and the other is not a halter it is a bridel
That was really a wild one. But I have had many Mustangs and backed them in 24 hours. Not that much drama. This was filmed over a while. I would have loved to have filmed him work with my Tyson. I have seen many men cower from him and he is great now. Anyone can take a young one and back them it's so much easier than people think. Now make him walk LOL third step and ur off. MY friend has a Bronc and made him a great horse. Yep she did it when men said no. Each to their own don't be impressed.
i would of waited for the horse to come to you, hang round in his field and sit down waiting....there curious animals and will come in there own time.its easy to halter them this was as well and there are no restrictions. next: parelli techniques i would of used. you will have a loyal horse, close to your heart
@stinahumana Well it's not like he did this all in two minutes, like he said he worked with this horse for a couple hours and I saw the horse reacting to him, turning its ears toward him, stretching its neck out to smell him is all interacting, it's not the best method for all horses, for instance I would never practice these methods on a more skittish breed like an arab, but a brumby is a very hardy horse and by the end of the video he is notably VERY relaxed, this guy did a good job.
Respond to this video... relaxed and passivised are two different things, one thing is to relax and enjoy and one thing is to be passive because you have no say

I like "How to tame wild horses the old lady way" better. About as exciting as watching grass grow, but true horse(woman)ship in action.
