  • So sad, but very realistic.

  • Tears could not even begin to explain the emotions I felt from this movie!!

  • I just watched the film and this is a very beautiful tribute to it! Thank you for sharing this video!

  • @AnneloesF

Thank you!!! Glad you think so :)

  • I don't understand. In the end is he simply staying under water to cleanse or commiting suicide?

  • @AntW11

I guess is open to interpretation , to me is suicide because the scene ends with him under the water we don't see him come out and his gloomy attitude made me believe he kill him self but as I said is open , so maybe Im wrong.

  • plz,from where can I find it

    Iam tired

  • OMG, I just watched this film, and it was one of the most beautiful, poignant, and passionate movies I've ever seen. I don't know if the actors are gay or not, but I've never seen such a passionate kiss in my life. Incredibly well acted all around.

  • @BillieJoeIsHawt Thanks, but you're kinda like the 4th telling me this.

  • cant we just have a good ending like all other straight movies

its a conspiracy i tell yah

  • Guys---if you want a happy storyline in a gay film just watch Shelter.-Fantastic film.

  • Does it have a happy ending? Because I am sick and tired of watching gay storylines that end badly.

  • @TrinneLovesAll13

Well.. Im afraid in that case, you'll have to skip this one .

  • @drewsarichfangirl ARGH! I know that SOME stories end badly, but why do ALL of them have to? It's depressing!

  • @TrinneLovesAll13

Not all end up like that , but is fair to said most have sad endings at least the ones I watched, A personal favorite of mine: Maurice have a happy ending , but to be honest most of the movies with happy endigs I have seen are very mediocres ones or plain bad , I personally really don't judge movies by how they end , straight or gay , Im more about the entire picture ,if you know what I mean, Hey, but that's me =)

  • @drewsarichfangirl shelter is a good quailiy film AND has a happy ending =^)

  • @phoney98

agree with the whole list of movies that have a happy ending.Cannot think of many more. But you have to watch Mambo Italiano.I thought it was a very funny movie.I saw it right here on YouTube.Guys catch it if you can.Manmbo Italiano it is..

  • @drewsarichfangirl

hey can you tell me names of some good gay movies in recent times,

and plz tell me from where can i get them or may be watch dem...thanx.

  • @TrinneLovesAll13 I'd recommend Shelter and Save Me if you haven't already seen them

  • @3EMDEE Shelter is one of my favorite movies (:

But Save Me is one I haven't seen, I'll check it out. Thanks :D

  • @TrinneLovesAll13 well it doesn't end with a death if thats what you mean by badly. but yeah they wont be together

  • @TrinneLovesAll13 If you want to see a very good, happy film with a happy ending...you should try 'Mambo Italiano' It really is one of my favorites!

  • @gyqz Yeah, I've seen it! It's one of my favorites as well (:

  • @TrinneLovesAll13 if you want a feel good gay film and you havent seen it yet. Go and find " Beautiful thing". Its a few years old now but it will make you feel good at the end of it.

  • @zanyzoo6767 OMG! It's been so long since I watched that one, I think I'll watch it again! Thanks (:

  • @TrinneLovesAll13

Hey I so agree with you its about time that these movie scripts show some happy endinmgs to gay story...its like casting the sense of no hope among gay people and although some straight relationships last for very short time no one seems to make it an highlight

  • @TrinneLovesAll13 Well, i spected little bit more at the end, but let us know that religion is more important than love. besides, Aaron has wife and kids, difficult situation. anyway, i think is a good film. :)

  • @TrinneLovesAll13 I agree with you! I'm so sick of gay movies with tragic endings. I don't like watching straight movies with sad endings either, and luckily there are lots of others to choose from. But not quite so many gay-cinema-wise. I see that you know Shelter. Have you seen Guys and Balls, Just a Question of Love, Love Songs, Make the Yuletide Gay, Mambo Italiano, Maurice, The Curiousity of Chance, The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green, Were the World Mine, (cont'd)

  • @Madelynn1984 That is an amazing list of movies...I wish I could add to it for you, but you seem to have a pretty exhaustive list here! Thanks for thinking of all of these!

As for me, I'd say Shelter is my current all time favorite movie, with Were the World Mine somewhere in my top 15 or so...and I also recently saw and loved Boy Culture and Just a Question of Love, so those four would be my top recommendations for the uninitiated. :)

  • @TrinneLovesAll13 (cont'd) You'll Get Over It, All You Need Is Love, Beautiful Thing, Boy Culture, Defying Gravity, Get Real, Latter Days, Slutty Summer, The Big Gay Musical, Breakfast With Scot, Patrick 1,5, Lucky Blue, Reinas, or Rock Haven? All gay movies with non-depressing endings. I can probably think of more, given some time. :) Anyone have any suggestions for me?

  • @TrinneLovesAll13 Umm, you expect a film about very traditional Hassidic gay men living in Israel to end well?

  • @TrinneLovesAll13 bad ending

  • @wuvhim

plz, from where can I find it

    Iam tired

  • @TrinneLovesAll13 watch the movie from beginning to end...it's a happy gay movie and ends happily

  • @TrinneLovesAll13 :

'Shelter' does have a happy ending. and that's a beautiful movie as well!!! ;)

  • great movie... really worth watching... :)

  • @drewsarichfangirl

I love the scenes where in spite of their strong attraction the two characters

are ritually "davening"(bowing)and reciting "tehilim"(Psalms) expressing

their love for G-D. I've never found the two to be mutually exclusive!

    Blaine

  • @drewsarichfangirl

From what I've seen in the clips, I love the scenes where, in spite of the strong force

that draws them to one another, they continue to ritually "daven" (the bowing) and

recite "Tehilim"(Psalms) in praise of G-D. The pull of their faith appears to be as

strong as their mutual attraction! I like these scenes because I do not believe

    the two are mutually exclusive!

    Drew Dear Lady,

    How have you been?

  • @blainebill39

I know what you mean , it shouldn't be a conflict , really , your religious believes with who you are inlove with , Gay Love , bi , whatever ...shouldn't be a problem, on the contrary if love is involve that should be embrace by religions not the contrary =)

Im doing fine sweetie , thank you for asking , and you?

  • @drewsarichfangirl

I return here not just for the film clips, I also miss your charming "society"!

I've been having a time here on Youtube responding to the interest in the

    Lifetime film "Prayers For Bobby".

After Bobbys' suicide, his journals were discovered and in them he had written

about me as his boyfriend. I have just been trying to hold peoples hands and

inform them that the events depicted happened almost 30yrs ago, and that

much has changed! Reactions are very strong.

    Blaine

  • @blainebill39

Hey Blaine , hope you are doing fine sweetie , you know ..I been trying to watch that movie Prayers For Bobby but for one reason or another I just never get to it , but the reviews couldn't be better so hope I finally get to see it one of this days.

Thank you for your comments darling!=)

    Norah

  • @drewsarichfangirl

    Bonjourno Signorina Bella!

I've missed conversing with you and have thought of you lately! Darling, there

is a great doccumentary that tackles the very subject matter that's fictionalized

in "Eyes Wide Open". The title is "Trembling Before G-D", and it follows Hassidic

Jews who are desperatly trying reconcile their homosexuality and their love of

their faith. Netflix has it, and I''m sure it's widely available on the net. I think you

    might enjoy it!

    Blaine

  • @blainebill39

    Hello charming Blaine...

Thank you.. that's very sweet of you to said! =))

Thank you for the recomendation , Im going to look for it , I think I have allready seen it around so it would be an easy task , it looks interesting , I know is diffciult but with so many things happening in the world and not exactly good , Jews people in general no matter the religion, we should be so over this , I know is easy for me to said ,....

  • @drewsarichfangirl

Im not in their shoes but I really thing humanity should be focusing in real problems not in who you are sexualy attracted or inlove with =) All I can said is hope one day this be true =)

    *hugs*

    Have a great weekend Blaine!

    Norah

  • the one with the shorter beard is pretty hot, i think i've found myself a new crush, off to google to figure out who he is, lol

  • what is the music in this trailer? any idea?

  • I love the young dude on that movie !

He is somewhat pretentious, antisocial, lazy, cocky

He is so sexy that he behaves as if the sun shines out of is butt. The only problem is.....the sun actually does !!

  • @sundiatah

ahhh, I know ...that was funny =)

  • @sundiatah lol

  • hey, any body can tell me how 2 get that film ??

  • Aaron:"I'm alive"...

but a very sad ending for this character...

  • That ending totally sucks...

    Thank you for answering though.

  • @psych3577 I know ..Your welcome.

  • Nice job with the clip. It seems like a very interesting movie. Please tell me it has a good ending, or at least a realistic one. I hate tragic endings.

  • @psych3577 Thank you! Beware of Spoilers for thouse of you, who doesn't want to be completly Spoil ........ I think it defenetly has a realistic ending and tragic one as well ,I do show the end of the movie in this video, we don't see Aaron coming out from the water at the end of the movie so is a 99% chance he comited suicide :(

  • @drewsarichfangirl I saw a screening of it with the director, and he said the ending was intentionally ambiguous; it's a metaphor for Aaron's submission to his culture, not necessarily suicide (after all, suicide and abandoning his family are sins just as big as homosexuality).

  • @angentorange oh thx god! at least he's alive! cant bear the thought oh him dying there! good news, thx!

  • @angentorange @angentorange oh thx god! at least he's alive! cant bear the thought oh him dying there! good news, thx!

  • what a lovely song. and youve used it so appropriately with the montage as if it was recorded for the soundtrack of the film. what is this song called and who is the artiste? i must see this movie, it appears wonderful.

  • Thank you!!!Defenetly recomend it to see it =)

The singer is Alanis Morrisette the song :Uninveted you can find the song in the soundtrack: City of angels.

  • he best film of this year's LLGFF so powerful marvelously acted and shot. is being released on May 14th by peccadillo pictures check Eyes Wide Open blog eyeswideopen(dot)org

  • Wonderful song

  • Of all the gay-themed movies I have ever seen (and there have been a lot) this one shocked me the most. I guess I never pictured Orthodox Jews being gay, being Jewish has given me particular insight into the culture and I simply never saw the possibilty. However, seeing this has been a wonderful reminder that love of every kind is all around us! Thanks so much for putting this up, now I have to go find the movie!

  • Hey Ya'll! If you like to see some more go check my channel as well. Have a great night everyone!

  • :P Sorry hon! , Yes I realized that but it was to late and my comment was plublish.

It most be the heat ....

Btw: When I make a mistake I blame it on the heat , (runs and hide ashame)

  • Thank you sweetie! You are very kind =)

    wich version is your favorite?

  • Well I better said nothing in order to avoid spoiling the movie even more .

Thank you for watching sweetie! *hugs* =)

  • The song is beautiful indeed, Norah! Perfect choice ;D Glad to see additional scenes of this movie too.. I have a question, hon, this movie is not based from a book, is it?

  • Im so glad you think so sweetie!*kiss*

Based on a book?: I don't think so hon , Isn't any mention of that in the info about the movie, I think is an original script .

  • I have never heard about this film but it looks interesting. :) Great music, by the way. :)

  • Thanks , Glad you think so! =)

I defenetly recomend it , if you can find it , watch it , you won't regret it.

  • The heart doesn't come with a lock, the keeps the door shut. You can't choose who you love, or turn off your emotions. Love is the most driven and dangerous of emotions, and there's no breakes, to stop it. You have wait and see where it takes you. Good song, though.

  • I think you are 100% right , I defenetly agree with you.

Im very happy you approve the music Sam!
