  • I've never seen a Prius on crack.

  • what did I see in that car!!!!!!!??????

  • definetly a person in that car so not to self driven if u ask me

  • Prius :/

  • would love to see this wheel on their car... wwwDOTsidedriverDOTcom Driving made easy for everyone.

  • I saw a person in that car :/

  • It's the work of Devil I tells ya! The Devil!

  • Great let's get this into massproduction.

Now we only need to make the cars fly:)

  • @navylaks2 already are but its kind of stupid because its a car what turns into plane with wings and you have to drive to an airport to take off and land back at an airport to land

  • Just gonna say it now, if you people want to live a dull life and have computers and robots do everything for you, go for it. I'll keep racing my gasoline car and enjoying myself. Only practical thing I could see a self driving car for would be a taxi.

  • To the people complaining about a person possibly being in the car: What would be the point if people couldn't ride in it?

  • Technology like this takes enjoyment out of everything. While fucktards like those at google keep developing technology for lazy ass americans who think sitting around is fun, those of us who enjoy getting out and doing this suffer from life being dulled by retarded technology, with computers doing crap we shouldn't even trust them with. If this is the future, the future looks pretty dull. Self driving cars are full of fail.

  • @mrZdude It could be good for avoding drinking and driving and for long road trips where you can take a nap.

  • There's someone in the car at 0:42...

  • umm it looks like someone is driving the car haha

  • To the programmers: I'm now looking forward for racing and drift modes :D

  • i wonder... would it be wise to preemptively cheat on my bf?

  • 0:43 guys hand moving

  • Interesting. I didn't realize Google had a self driving car. Wonder what will come of it.

  • queens2nd2none: There is no such thing as quick acceleration in a Prius, and self driving cars are just as gay as a Prius.

  • @mrZdude

If you hate the future, then be left in the past. Nobody will miss you.

  • @Zamboro Theres nothing future about a boring ass POS Prius.

  • @mrZdude

It's a hybrid electric vehicle instead of just primitive gas. The generation 4 models are all plugin hybrids. And this one has sufficient onboard computing power and external sensors to drive itself.

  • @Zamboro I know how they work douchebag, I've gone to school for the shit. They're still crapboxes. "Primitive gas" LOL! Gasoline vehicles will never go away, theres just nothing else with as much energy to power the cars with such simple logic behind it. Theres no reason for this hybrid bullshit, or self driving cars. And hybrids are completely pointless, a '97 Toyota Tercel gets 48mpg highway, and an 88 Honda CRX can get 45+mpg highway. And there are no 1300whp Hybrids. End of story.

  • @mrZdude And before you bring in "better for the environment", go fuck a tree fag. Gasoline powered cars are FAR FAR FAR from the worst thing for the environment. Factories, loud mouth fucktard protestors bitching about pollution, etc...And the average lifespan of a hybrid vehicle's battery is 10 years MAXIMUM. Where do you expose of the battery, which is worse for the environment than the pollutants a gasoline engine puts out in a 10 year span, after its no good?

  • @mrZdude dispose* of the battery. Plus, consider the factories that product the batteries, they are polluting at this very moment. Meanwhile gasoline engines running at optimum AFRs while equipped with a catalytic converter put out mostly oxygen and water. Yes, water is a by product of combustion, NOx, CO2, and CO are converted to mostly pure oxygen by the catalytic converter.

  • @mrZdude

Douchebag? I never insulted you. :( Anyway, the theoretical limit of lithium batteries places their energy density very near gasoline even before comparative efficiency comes into play. An 85% efficient electric motor powered by lithum batts that are even 50% as energy dense as gas will offer greater *effective* energy density than a 15% efficient gas fed engine. The simple, logical design is a motor, a battery, a controller and a pedal instead of the 400+ moving parts in a gas car.

  • @Zamboro 1300 horse power, 1/4 mile in under 10 seconds. GASOLINE. Get a life, stop being lazy.

  • @mrZdude

Why are you so hateful and mean for no reason? I haven't said anything mean to you. Besides which, nothing beats a performance EV on the drag strip, there are plenty of videos here on Youtube proving that. Search "white zombie drag race" for proof.

  • @Zamboro Its a 10 second car. There are 8 second cars running on gasoline, or a mixture of gasoline and Ethanol.

  • @mrZdude

I'd like to see one beat the Tesla Roadster, or Wrightspeed X1. The point is, oil is running out. This technology is necessary for us to maintain our current standard of living in spite of that. Whether battery or fuel cell powered, cars driven by electric motors are the way forward. If you oppose that, you oppose the technological progress that is necessary for the wellbeing of humanity.

  • @Zamboro Not to mention 100 miles max speed of 60mph, or 600 miles on one fill up and max speed of 140+ mph. Also, there aren't 400+ moving parts in an internal combustion engine, but nice try.

  • @mrZdude

Actually EVs now exist with a 375 mile range, and a 6 minute charging time. Google "375 mile electric", and pick a result. The Tesla Model S will have a 300 mile pack that is swappable at a Better Place switch station in under 2 minutes, faster than you can gas up. Also, you're right on the number of parts; It's actually around 200, my bad, but compare that to less than 10 moving parts in an EV. There's simply far less that can go wrong.

  • @mrZdude A Prius is "gay"? What are you 12 years old?

  • @CelestialWoodway No, I am an automotive enthusiast who enjoys autocross, drag racing, drifting, and other forms of motorsports. And given most people who own Prius' are stuck up bitch women, old ladies, or queer men, yeah...I'd say it'd be gay for a man to own a Prius...not to mention their queer commercials and finding the need to come up with a gay-sounding "plural" for Prius...Plural for Prius is Prius', says the English language.

  • WOW THIS IS THE FUCKING FUTURE

  • california :)

  • That is amazing, next stop Minority Report

  • @RobGThai the car was set to "agressive" if you read the Google PR report on the demonstration they had it do the course slow first... then in normal driving mode an lastly to prove the tech even further and how it could adapt well to sudden changes in the course they set it to agressive, hence the tire squealing and quick accelerations out of the turns.

  • Next step should be making it aware of the surface and adjust the speed accordingly. Seeing the car jumping about and turning like a race car doesn't make me wanna be in it. I'm supposed to be having my morning coffee and reading news on the ride.

  • Wow
