me again. i come back to your videos from time to time cause they're so good.. but youtube's removed all sound from 3 of your vids (part 2, 4 and 5).. any chance you could re-upload those maybe w/o the soundtracks but with the narration? On a side note, do you miss it? have you been on any trips since?
We plan on going to all of south america exept columbia, chile and paraguaY. One more thing i would like to ask is how much clothes did you bring and what would you recomend us to bring for foot wear?
My gf and I just watched all 6 vids we love them! We are going to South America this spring and plan to stay a year. We were wondering did the 2 of you have to get yellow fever and typhoid fever shots? Did you bring malaria medication?
Hey glad you liked the videos. Where in South America are you heading? Yes we both got yellow fever and typhoid vaccinations...and we brought malaria medication. We took it the entire time but was probably only necessary while in the jungle. Better safe than sorry right? Make sure you make an appointment with your nearest travel clinic asap.
Happy traveling and let me know if you have any other questions.
How much did we spend per day? Excluding the big ticket stuff like machu picchu trek, between the two of us we got by on about $25/day (avg $5 -$10/night for hostel, a few bucks for transportation and food..). Buses are fairly inexpensive, and a great way to travel through south america. We used a lot of night buses to save time. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks bud. Great to hear you're heading south. We did pre-arrange our volunteer work but picked a really small organization. Neither of us have TEFL certificates. Carmen is studying education right now, and has a lot of experience w/ teaching dance.
