Their music is more than fast guitars, the music explodes, and the harmonies are mesmerizing. I listen to Brotherhood and the new CD every day and hear something new. I would love to see them live and wish they would come to my state.
Yeah I don't play guitar, I don't personally have the patience to learn to play it either, I have never been to any of the Del Castillo shows and have only purchased a few tracks from Amazon, but I do believe that Del Castillo is totally awesome and my FAVORITE band. I can't afford the cd's :-b
I do not play the guitar nor do I aspire to do so, yet, I own every CD these guys have ever done, including their work with Chingon. I was at this show and the show the night before and a video release party the night before that....then I drove to Wichita Falls from Austin, just to see them again. The beauty of music is there is something for everyone, including those who's taste buds are firmly located...well you know where...
@1971SuperLead Just remember, music is about expression. I read a guitar instruction ad today & marveled at the arrogance of somebody offering "proper song composition" lessons! Proper? I suppose that a band like Pink Floyd is horrible for not being "proper". Just imagine how boring music would be if we all shared the same tastes & ideas.
@jambo383 Come on, it's a speed contest. This isn't about making music. It's about showing off. I don't know everything but, I can see this is certainly just a sports exposition. The singer is a novelty item. The guitar players merely showboat. Little thought is given to the song. The two guitar players might of well used backing tracks and eliminated the rest of the band.
@1971SuperLead It's a SHOW! You don't go to a 'listen'. I want entertainers to do just that. The song is great & the solos during the song are very tasteful. They chose to climax the song by flying all over the place. It's what they do. Hell, if Jimmy Page didn't pull out a bow at a show in the 70's, something was wrong. I mean, Vivaldi utilized fast passages in his compositions. Was that wrong? Listen to their song, "Quiereme" & tell me that there's not good phrasing.
@jambo383 I'll agree with that. It's like an Yngwie Malmsteen concert. It's something to see but no one really likes the music. Only aspiring guitar players will buy the CD.s.
@1971SuperLead You would change your mind about these comments if you heard the boys live. They are truly very sincere persons who really enjoy what they are doing and love sharing it with the rest of the world. Every show is better than the last and you can feel the excitement of their music course through your body and mind. They are awesome!!!! Every single one of them!

I don't play guitar and my spanish is limited at best, however i love this band. Their music is amazing and i'm saving to go see them live.
