The only allied campaign I considered almost as interesting as the soviet was in Yuri's revenge. The mission in Hollywood was awesome. (but then again the soviets had missions in the moon and in Transilvania....)

If Russia were to invade America, they would do it thru Canada; the US borders are too heavily defended and monitored. The President actually wanted to create a US Army Instalation in the North Pole to defend against a Russian invasion but the Prime Minister refused. The way I see it, in the thick winter ice, Russia could own Northern-Canada within a day, before setting up base in Vancouver accomidating a shipment of 2.5 million Chinese Troops and begin to invade Los Angeles :)

Why Los Angeles? It is the second largest city in the USA; conquering it would strike a devistating blow to American morale and military defences. Also, it would provide a new port in the pacific

@bldude2 I have no doubt that this is the way it would play out, with an all out war in the western united states, and the EU shipping over their entire military to attempt an invasion of Moscow as soon as they got word of the attack. Unfortunatley it would not be as easy as it seems; many countries would be split on which superpower they support, and France/Germany/UK/Italy would be the only definate combatants. They would face endless hordes of Russians and Koreans held up in Volgograd.
