i keep hearing about a "big bang" , but yet i'm also hearing about an "infinite universe" from the very same people .

based on this information i can conclude that infinity has a beginning and an end

It's finite according to the current models.

Simply put, the Universe is finite in size with a finite number of particles and a finite number of Universal models available to work with. I think experts use the term infinite because they know most people who are not physicsists would not understand large numbers used in standard from with large numbers of zeros.

quite interesting, superconductors have some really nice properties, i already experimented a little bit with superconductors, magnets and liquid helium.
