Cook island dancing is probably the most tradtional in Polynesia, as a maori ive noticed most of our work and the rest of polynesia is Christian influenced, even the hawaiian hula is bland compared to this. Long live you people of the Cook Islands, keep the polynesian culture untouched, Kiaora mai Koutou
@apahapai Most Polynesian dances are very difficult to learn. If one has ever been in a hula dance school (halau) 100% of them will say that traditional hula is one of the most difficult dances in Polynesia. Every dancer starts off slow and master slow clean movements before you can progress off fast dances otherwise your dancing will look like a serizure. Hula footwork, foliage adorments were also adopted in tahitian culture.
This is FANTASTIC! She is very talented. Love the dance, costume, & music of Cook Island! Was this live music? Where can I download this song or some similar to it?? I love it!
LOVE IT LOVE IT wow I think this hula is the best ive seen on Youtube, wat amazes me so much is the fact that she can keep he shoulders so still and I havnt seen any1 that can do that with such steadyness....AMAZING!!!!!!! Nice and graceful indeed #1 FAV!
