  • @jonah561 i have truly thought that for the last 5 years of my life. the only reason i am here today is so i can see what happens tommorow.

  • @hellothere12101 remember today is life - tomorrow never comes

  • on the bank of the river stood running bear, young indian brave on the other side of the river stood his lovely indian maid little white dove was-a her name such a lovely sight to see but their tribes fought with each other so their love :))
  • love this..... beautiful

  • more gauss more gauss more gauss more gauss more gauss

im impressed they prepared so extensively for the inevitable eargasms those doctors would have to treat.

  • Blockhead is too rare not to be in my cabinet. His sound is similar in ways, only slightly to a couple others. For the most part, he is very much his own, justifiably so. Just as Aesop Rock is and was, as they worked together to bring cerebral heads healthy doses every time. PEACE PEACE!

  • @MrBlubyrd fuckin well said

  • thas song is great!! i like when the song star....but i don´t know where find the albums :C

  • Pretty close to perfect.

  • This reminds me of DJ Shadow. This music is all about "feel" or "vibe" ... Don't be judgmental about the use of samples. Yes, I instantly recognized Chick Corea - Return to Forever, and part of me was reluctant to embrace the song since it so blatantly used a common mainstream jazz sample (as opposed to Shadow who picks really obscure stuff). But once I heard the beats and other samples come in, I loved it! Give this music a chance and don't over-analyze.

  • Does anyone know what source (a film, maybe) the audio clips are from? There's the one in which a woman is talking about her husband's dreams, and the one at the end with the man and woman talking about the gauze.

  • @mrc087 The dialogue at the end is from a spoken word comedy LP called Mike Nichols & Elaine May Examine Doctors. I don't know where the clip about the dreams comes from though.

  • this is really good

  • Blunted + Blockhead = Awesomo

  • GREAT!!!

  • i see what he means when he says it doesnt work, that sample would have been better somewhere else. as artist i feel a lil limited by this but as a fan of sound and music its beautiful

  • my favorite hip hop producer hands down i love you blockhead

  • There is no producer out there better than Blockhead. His newest album blew me away.

  • There is just so much music out there

  • @MrJonSaskawan It`s all music, my friend, just lay back and enjoy! All the best

  • Amazing so much better than rjd2?

  • I found the end sample, off a comedy album, first track of Mike Nichols & Elaine May Examine Doctors. :3

  • the cheeky gits, sampling running bear...it works though.

  • Sex for my ears.

  • I know that one day, in the future, I'll drive myself crazy trying to remember the name of this extraordinary song.

  • @INFERNO0602 put it in a playlist on your youtube. dont strain.

  • Love this

  • Perfect!

  • One of my favorite Blockhead tracks, who ever said it doesn't work that's why Blockhead is Blockhead and you're some dude hating on a you tube video. Peace

  • Love this track.::::Peace thru Music*:::::::

  • genius

  • This tune reminds me of my childhood, So beautiful, I love it

  • blockhead is pry my favorite producer right now

  • Crystal silence... ?

  • someone please send me a coy of this track!

  • great great great stuff.

  • i feel like ive heard this somewhere. one of the chillest beats ever made. when the high hat comes in with the vocals its fucking perfect

  • @zdskate21 You may have heard this before this singing and backup vocals are sampled from running bear by johnny preston it was a hit in its day

  • Hey Justin, I love You!

  • this shit is great ! One of his best songs imo I just love that signature melody 0:00-0:10 and so on, it's just so mellow :)

  • it's not like I wanted that hat?

    your listener/Freind -K0OO0L - (Mikey)

  • hello

  • Why is everyone obsessed with Mark Ronson when there are producers like this out there? Fuck mainstream music.

  • talking without speaking

  • i don't know how you others see it, but for me, this one is the best

  • I would have to agree with you. Deff. the best from Uncle Tony's, but for me his best solo joint has got to be Insomniac Olympics IMO.

  • Comment removed

  • does anyone know what movie the dialogue at the end is from?

  • and he kills that johnny preston... good look mcguinde

  • one of my favorite blockhead tracks... he gets busy for sure... it sounds like the samples fit to me

  • hillarious - hypnotic - brilliant

  • chilli and cool, mellow sound

but acctually the melody of all those sample doesnt fit at all

  • Listen again, they fit perfectly, that's why it's genius.

  • you have the right to your own opinion BUT this song, makes them all man. it's just... it takes me where it should

  • it DOESN'T have to be like original, you didn't get it, sorry.

  • Just because it is not like the original does not mean that it does not suck. IMO it is a little below okay.

  • Comment removed

  • This one goes right over your head, I guess you really don't understand sampling, or Blockhead for that matter.

  • I can't speak for anyone else but I love much of Blockhead's work, This track is just plain inferior to similar music from other artist.

  • What similar artists do you speak of?

  • quantic

    rjd2

    free the robots

    smoove

    guts le bienheureux

    chinese man......

  • The part in the beginning works that little note sequence, you're right the melody really doesnt work. The first 10 seconds in the song are the best then it goes down hill. it could be better

  • I don't understand how it doesn't work...it works perfectly for me and anyone else I've seen leave comments. I would say I have a pretty good ear for music, and all of these samples work perfectly together...that's why Blockhead is Blockhead and you're "Dimes329".

  • Owned, haha.

  • lol'd

  • ^^^ me too

  • @tommyboy042

    Co-sign

    This is some perfect sampling.

  • @tommyboy042 very well said tommyboy042. I, jkhgsdhgdhgjklsdhfgj, agree with you.

  • @tommyboy042 though this comment was one year ago, I still agree. the samples overlay at a perfect rythm that entices the sounds of the soul...so to speak. Harmonious clarity if you will.

  • @tommyboy042 i laughed out loud. right on man

  • agreed I always used to trip to music like this and way better exists.

  • @Dimes329 What a vague, pointless thing to say......your comment could be better....what would you have done to make it better???

  • Chill.

  • must be cool to smoke and chill with this dude

  • fuk yeah.

    always a mellow enviroment.

    :)

  • he's got a blog on def jux website...mad funny

  • block doesnt smoke surprisingly

  • how do u know???

  • bc i know him sparky. we grew up together.

  • lol, if thats true that is very surprising

  • Damn. I would love to light up a bowl with him :(

  • that is a surpriise

  • blockhead is the best... no one can't fuck with him

  • *no can CAN fuck with him

  • I agree but try listening to jel.

  • "Stood his lovely, Indian MAAAAAAAAID!" F*cking sick, Running Bear is the man! This track hits a lot of nice, nostalgic/longing notes. Superb.

  • very SOlid tune...

  • best song on the album
