set on the beach and run your hand thru the soft sand, its like every thing worked as it was planned and some people just dont understand, so afterwards take my hand and come with me, ill lead you thru your destiny baby youll be happy you met me happy as happy can be, looking up from the beach into the air, things feel great the wind thru my hair no stressin dont give a single care,

This music relaxes me when i need to be calm. Even if i just listen to it in my mind. This is the kind of music that is listened to with the soul as much as with the ears.
it always works with this guy, like ack303 said "get blunted" , gotta open the mind up alittle, gotta use more than 10% of the brain!! you'll C! if you dont like this go and not like bonobo or rjd2! THANKS SEANNY MAC! THIS CHIT IS BOMB!

on the bank of the river stood running bear, young indian brave on the other side of the river stood his lovely indian maid little white dove was-a her name such a lovely sight to see but their tribes fought with each other so their love :))
Blockhead is too rare not to be in my cabinet. His sound is similar in ways, only slightly to a couple others. For the most part, he is very much his own, justifiably so. Just as Aesop Rock is and was, as they worked together to bring cerebral heads healthy doses every time. PEACE PEACE!
This reminds me of DJ Shadow. This music is all about "feel" or "vibe" ... Don't be judgmental about the use of samples. Yes, I instantly recognized Chick Corea - Return to Forever, and part of me was reluctant to embrace the song since it so blatantly used a common mainstream jazz sample (as opposed to Shadow who picks really obscure stuff). But once I heard the beats and other samples come in, I loved it! Give this music a chance and don't over-analyze.
Does anyone know what source (a film, maybe) the audio clips are from? There's the one in which a woman is talking about her husband's dreams, and the one at the end with the man and woman talking about the gauze.
@mrc087 The dialogue at the end is from a spoken word comedy LP called Mike Nichols & Elaine May Examine Doctors. I don't know where the clip about the dreams comes from though.
i see what he means when he says it doesnt work, that sample would have been better somewhere else. as artist i feel a lil limited by this but as a fan of sound and music its beautiful
One of my favorite Blockhead tracks, who ever said it doesn't work that's why Blockhead is Blockhead and you're some dude hating on a you tube video. Peace

I don't understand how it doesn't work...it works perfectly for me and anyone else I've seen leave comments. I would say I have a pretty good ear for music, and all of these samples work perfectly together...that's why Blockhead is Blockhead and you're "Dimes329".
@tommyboy042 though this comment was one year ago, I still agree. the samples overlay at a perfect rythm that entices the sounds of the soul...so to speak. Harmonious clarity if you will.
