That is not entirely correct. I'm not 100% convinced that it is real, to be honest, but i AM about 80% convinced. According to my reliable sources, the atmosphere is made up of iron oxide which absorbs light. It also has a HUGE tail of debris it drags around with it that often obscures the planet itself, so when we WOULD be able to see it in the sky, it appears hazy and blurry. not to mention that during the day it's DIRECTLY in front of the sun.

Read further... the predicted mass of this predicted planet is 30-70% of the earth's mass, not the huge planet all the Nibiruists want to exist. ok i believe in god myself.... however that there is a planet x i dont believe. i do however agree with markmartin6sc. if there was a planet X it most likely would have to be a brown dwarf. most likely wont be too highly noticeable until it was almost right on us. remember it will absorb most of the suns rays thus making it harder to see. but i dont believe there is one out there personally. not in our solar system

One theroy is (if their is really a planet x) that it is a Brown Dwarf half way between the Kieper Belt and the Ort Cloud..so let us say that it is true, in less then three years and object that big can not be detected now by anyone? Remember, Brown dwarfs are hard to detect, but if their was one coming towards us, by now someone would have proof. Yes, their are objects bigger then good ole Pluto, and ever now and then someone finds a new one, but a brown dwarf is bigger then Jupiter. Peace :)

Because objects of sufficient mass natural form spherical objects. If you have enough molten material to form a "moon" sized object and you put it in orbit it will naturally solidify in a sphere. The same as a soap bubble forms a perfect sphere.

you do realize that anyone can type an address in the address bar and not hit enter to make it look like that is the site that is being displayed.
If you were to show that and then zoom in to the very top bar in the upper left corner of the screen it would show the name of the site you are visiting.

the solar system will NOT line up with the galactic equator in 2012. Anyone with a pair of eyes can figure that out. Just go outside and find the Milky Way band across the sky at night, and you'll see that it doesn't even come close to lining up with the solar systems equator.
I have heard, however, that the solar system will PASS the Galactic equator in 2012, but don't quote me, I'm just passing on what I heard, I don't even know where I heard it.

I've heard some speculation about the equator crossing somehow affecting the earths magnetic field, but again, I just heard that somewhere, I'm no astrophysicist.
I've never heard of a "Galactic" Magnetic field, but that doesn't mean there isn't one...

It's actually true. Because when you go below south & north, magnetic currents will spin in opposite directions, so it might be sort of like a field-effect reversal once we pass through the galactic equator.

DimmuLand, 3 distant point object will ALWAYS be lined up as they form the most basic shape, a triangle. You can't have 3 object that DON'T Just reread your 6th point and try to realize the redundancy and stupidity of it (no offense). The solar system won't line of with the plane of our galaxy. The earth, sun and center will all align... but that happens EVERY year; it is nothing special. BTW we are too far from the center for it to affect us drastically. It's about 75 000 light years away.

I said 75000 light years (it is a unit DISTANCE not TIME). That is the approximate radius of the Milkyway Galaxy (obviously give or take a few thousand) Like you said, we are roughly 26000 lightyears away from the center of the galaxy. Are you suggesting that in the next 3 years, that our solar system is going to travel 26,000 light years (for no reason) to the center of the galaxy? don't be stupid. Where did you hear about 26 000 year global extinction periods? How did we manage to survive...

Dimmu, could you also source where you got the information that earth is younger than the moon? (because it isn't). Based on models, the pre-earth planet (earth before the collision) was hit by a large (roughly) mars sized object which as you can imagine would just essentially liquefy and vaporize everything. The post collision was pulled back around before colliding and breaking off. After a long period, gravity did it's thing and we had the earth and the moon created from the debris.

No I didn't say the earth was hit by the moon. Can you read? This collision happened about 4.6 billion years ago. There is an easily obvious explanation for older dust on the moon, even though I don't ever remember hearing about it. Meteorites have collided with the moon for its entire life. There is no atmosphere there and everything is preserved. What a logical conclusion. Also note that the moon is Much smaller so it would cool and form rocks SOONER.
