  • thumbs up for TURTLES!!!!!

  • @stime99

    I LOVE TURTLES!!!! :3

  • FAKE

  • yeah, you can almost see the rope they used to pull this sinking "monster" across the lake. how ridiculous.

  • t.a.r.a.i throw a rock at it

  • soooo fake

  • Cant really tell... Could be something else

  • What? No Zoom????

  • Cryptozoology novel about two boys who find something strange on the beach one night see video book trailer

  • Why is some of the whater blurry?

  • driftwood

  • its not swimming like a naturally aquatic animal, i think its a moose or deer heading for the shore had the tape run a little longer you would have seen it emerge

  • Some part of the animal splashes (slaps) the water at 1:20-1:22. Foot, flipper, or tail? I'd guess tail. If that's the tail then not all the dark spots behind it would be parts of the body coming to the surface. I think this might still actually fit the Mansi photo if you suppose the creature to be holding its neck in a bent U shape under the surface. Now imagine if it lifted that neck out of the water! Then put Sandra Mansi on the shore with a camera and I think we have a match.

  • i believe thare is somthing in the water.ferst i thote it was somwone swemming and lefting his arm up but at that distens it has to be a big arm wat it is i dont now dont think its dun with computer peace from belgium

  • fine it's a whale then

  • You see a monster! I see a playful giant otter. Next video...

  • @hairyhand That response is so funnnyyyy!!!!!! I laughed really hard.

  • Dog

  • IF YOU LOOK WELL,IT HAS THE SAME SHAPE OF THE HEAD,AND LENGTH OF THE NECK THAN SANDRA MANSI´S PHOTOGRAPH.

  • Otters leave wakes behind them like anything else.

  • It is just an otter.

  • Looks a bit like my grandma swimming...

  • It's just a seal

  • It's a beaver, and it looks really long because it's creating waves.

  • i believe in the loch ness monster but what you have there is a hoax. that looked like a seal or walrus

  • @thepeopleschamp12000 What would a walrus be doing in those waters?

  • @PhantosTheHedgehog swimming perhaps?? i believe greatly in the loch ness monster but i don't believe they caught it in this video

  • Comment removed

  • @Acidreamr69 i don't even know where the damn lake is or even how u pronounce it but there could be find me proof that there ain't seals or walrus

  • its a black retriver :)

  • this is an animal that swims for sure with vertical movements. the water distortion/movements indicates this. it seems to be about 25-30ft and shows a calm and comfortable behavior. it submerges, rose it's head upwards to drink some water. the kind of distortion is the same when you swim with fins (i'm a diver, OWD) and this proofs vertical movements! and this points and moments of distortions gives the proof of an "wave-like" vertical movement under water, slowly and gentle. to me - cadborosaur

  • why the hell are you not saying anything even a whisper not very convincing

  • anaconda!!!!!!!!LOL

  • turtle turtle

  • hey, watch WATER HORSE on DVD. it tells us about the rumours of nessie...

  • Could be a seal or an otter, but I'm not sure--whatever it is, it's pretty clear that it's hunting for fish.

  • eeeeeeeeeee this looks like a person swimming!!

  • looks like a deer swimming, but what do i know, it kinda looks longer than a deer

  • nessie jr. lol

  • Actually, this video footage somewhat resembles a person floating on his/her back and then going underwater slowly. This is deffinently not The Loch Ness Mosnter.

  • What objects are nearby ? You can see in the beginning of the video that the waves lapping up on shore are interacting with the wake of the object (Snapper) because it is so close to the camera. Freeze frame at 0:17 and go to any picture of a Snapping Turtle and compare the profiles. That's not a turtle ?

If you want a real Champ video, find the ABC news Afloater/Bodette video where Champ swims under their boat !

  • That's no dog or turtle. Judging by the scale of the objects nearby, I'd say it's at least 15-20 ft long. Pay close attention near the end of the video, and look for the length of the wake it creates. Whatever that is, it's very large.Turtles and dogs don't move through water like this. I'm usually completely dismissive of these things, but this cell phone video is one of the best (perhaps THE best) pieces of video footage I've ever seen of the supposed creature in Lake Champlain.

  • looks like a dog :P

  • I could not have to resist not throwin a brick on it..

in the head ! bang !! brick in the head!! bang! bang !!

  • I looked at his head.

I would say it is 4 inches long ?

What is my reference for the size of it's head ?

  • well u guys did u see how big its head was? watch it again and look at its head!!

  • u should of threw a rock at it

  • Snapping Turtle out for a quiet morning swim

  • Lies!!! It is a caribou swimming.

  • i tink any one would be making fucken noise if they saw something like that u idiot ur all casual about it

  • Who are you talking to?

  • I see a snake. Google images of "large snake in the water."

  • Insisto: por su torpeza y lentitud al desenvolverse en el agua, el objeto no parece un animal acuático sino terrestre.

Por otra parte, el operador parece saber lo que vá a grabar

  • its a fuckin shark.

  • in a lake?!?!?! sharks cant survive in a lake dude

  • some species of sharks do live in lakes but mostly in big deep ones like this

  • yeah, i agree but sharks have to keep on moving in order to survive. This is fake though. definitely a turtle =)

  • @therealhannahashley

that's what happens when you watch a video that some random idiot recorded from their cell phone

  • ur fucking dumb theres no sharks in that water its a lake not an ocean dumb ass!!

  • Comment removed

  • u fucking fag

  • It's the 21st century..There's such a thing as "zoom"

  • sorry camphone

  • do you guys see that fucking trail behind it? that thing is long as hell, just look at the water right behind the object thats the rest of its body

  • that's true. i didn't notice it until u said it!

  • omg

  • If it was a dog, wouldn't it be swimming very quickly towards the shore, not to mention towards the closest shoreline, which would be where the cameraman is? This "thing" seems to be lazily swimming around, and almost submerges. It also has a very visible "back". It's head looks nothing like a dog, deer or moose. I can't see ears, which would be visible on the latter two. It's either some elaborate hoax, or an unidentified animal.

  • its a dog in shallow water

  • thats too damn big to be a fuckin dog

  • he's real......i would know!

  • The guy who made this may have been an inmate at the local jail at one point for what charge I'm not aware. He does not claim it to be champ what so ever. Althought its possible there was another Olson in the jail when I worked there.

  • thats a beaver dude

  • i say it is a turtle

  • if it weren't for the way the water humps behind it some ten feet back i would think it was fake

  • just curious..i know people think deer etc cause it doesnt look comfy but what if it is a young creature...not used to being on the surface...maybe young champ?

  • I should qualify my comment below by saying A) given the apparent distance from the shore I don't think, if even what I'm positing are parts of the animal coming to the surface @ 1;30+, it's any longer than 15', B) I read the shooter was concerned abt his mem running low and not wanting to "reset" lest he lose what he'd shot, thus he stopped, C) I wanna know what he observed after he stopped shooting, D) it fits to a "t" other accounts of Champ and, E) doesn't mesh w/ the '77 Mansi shot at all.

  • I'm a skeptic...but this is legitimate. The artifacts coming to the surface *way* behind the "head " and occasional hump between 1:30s and the end are undismissable as a play of light on wake--they are animate. I was initially thinking this was a struggling deer or moose calf, agreeing w/ some marine biologist's assessment of the vid I'd read in which she (correctly) posited that it doesn't look like an animal comfortable moving thru the water--maybe it's quite comfortable underwater...

  • Fake

  • looks like a duck. lol

  • This is the best video ever taken for the support of lake/sea monsters. Shame the guy did not have a proper video camera. He would changed history! This mobile phone footage proves it is an unknown animals but unfortunately it isnt possible to do much more with it in the way of giving it a scientific ID etc

  • So slowly

  • So slowly for an acuatic animal. Moose, perhaps.... Another thing: it itsnt the Champlain

  • Your logic is flawed. Aquatic animals dont always swim fast. Sometimes they will swim slowly. Infact that is why it is not a Moose. A moose would be struggling and erratic in its movements. Besides this looks nothing like a moose. Look at the way the body moves. That is not a land animal. That is an aquatic animal lazing around.

  • Moose. It heads towards the other shore in a direct line and never puts its nose underwater. The video stops just before it reaches the shore and would perhaps climb out of the water. Did the filming stop at that point? If so, why? Or is it shortened for YouTube. If that is the case, the next minute should be uploaded.

  • Unlikely to be a moose.

It sinks its into the water, stays in one place and when it moves it moves too effortlessly and lazily to be a moose or deer.

Moose would be struggling across the water. You would be able to see the erratic movements of a land animal trying to get across the water

  • Underestimating the animals. :-) A few videos would help:

Go to the google video tab and search 'moose swimming '

  • Comment removed

  • deer

  • right... I said moose but could be a deer. I think it looks more like a young moose or female moose. Could be Champ. ;-)

  • Llama?

  • Moose.

  • Burlington will have lots of tourists coming just for that, Oh ! Champ is a true surviver, long live Champ!

  • i think it' s Somali Pirate.

  • ok, 3 things..why didnt you try to get closer to get a clearer video?? and how long were u out there for?? did you hang out to see where it went or what exactly it was??

its just funny how soooo many ppl have these pics and videos of Champ, and the Loch Ness Monster etc, but yet even with todays super amazing technology noone can come up with a clear pic of anything...but yet they spend all this money on the best equipment....i dont know what it was you got on video, just wish it was more clear

  • this is fuckin fake

  • Who thinks it is?

  • thats accually pretty pathetic that you think thats a lake monster
