i live in girard and i don't go to this shooting range because i have to show up on a 2nd thursday to go to a meeting to get permission to shoot. i just want to shoot i don't feel like i need to be apart of a club

@mattmatt1102 WCRC is a good club. The dues are minimal, and members have easy access to the range anytime they want to shoot. Like any club, you need a sponsor to join. If you don't know a member who will sponsor you, just show up at a meeting and meet the officers, and you will be in. No big deal. It isn't about getting permission, it's about becoming known to other members. We are all just guys like you who like to spend time at the range.

Nice Bolo. One important thing though: I shoot with a C-96 and stripper clips in USPSA competition, and have little trouble in loading, even under pressure. The trick is, at least in the C-96 that I have, is to notch the brass (not the steel) of the stripper clip so that it can bypass the bolt's extractor. Then, with slide locked back (into the hammer's recess, which is what you appear to have), insert clip directly into the clip slot, and push down with a quick stop and go motion.

@cottersay Thank you for the suggestion. Part of my problem seems to be caused by the fact that I form cases from .223 brass, and they are slightly smaller in diameter and don't feed as smoothly from the clip.

This one is .30 Mauser. I reload for it using either 15 grain cast or 100 grain short jacket bullets.

I bought this one maybe 20 years ago and had the barrel relined, and then reblued. It was one of the ones which were imported from from China and was really in sad shape. I have about $250 in it. It is tons of fun to shoot and always attracts attention. I have no clue what it would bring now.
