The argument you are citing is used as a couter argument to those who want to advocate choice. They are the ones who believe that people should have choice but they deny the choice for the baby to live in te process. I hope this helps.
As for me, yes I respect life at all stages in its development and I certainly would try and convince somone not to kill themslves but this doesn't compromise my position at all because I can respect te life of an unborn child in the same way.

As a Christian I respect all human life. I don't see where I implied in my original comment that I loved strangers just as much as my own family, but I certainly respect human life to not kill it, especially an innocent child that has committed no wrong and is not responsible for it's position. In fact the mother and father is responsible for it's position.
