Hmm..

I was told many years ago by a vet who specialized in reptiles that bananas are too high in potassium for most lizards to eat as more than a rare treat.

(If at all.)

He was warning specifically about not feeding them to a green iguana, which is not related, or not closely related to frilled lizards.

Not trying to tell you what to do, of course- just mentioning for informational purposes.

I have a 1 1/2 yr old frilled, very skiddish animals at first, the key is to interact with them a lot and feed them while they are sittin on your hand. mine was 130.00, and she turned out female, their worth a lot of money especially the females when they are older.

Before any one goes out and buys that cue widdle lizard please.. do ALL the research. Read a BOOK by a pro. These guys need vast amounts of space/specialized light/heat/diet. The vet bills for even a usually robust reptile can sometimes be huge... CONSIDER CAREFULLY. If after all the work you put into researching needs/cost you are still willing and wanting.. then go for it and enjoy.

any lizard can be a good pet so long as you treat it with respect, if this is your first reptile i wouldn´t recomend going for one. try a bearded dragon or chinese water dragon, then move on to something like this, a frill neck can cost around 150$(new guinian) or 1000 around there for an australian and 3rd, its a ¨terrarium¨ considering there is no water in it. if you add live plants it becomes a Vivarium. hope this helps you.

has she always eaten fruit? our frilled lizard won't touch it, though i have had success in dipping his prey in baby food before feeding him. basically, he won't eat anything that isn't alive, regardless of how much we jiggle it for him. i was wondering if you had a trick, because my baby food technique is very messy.
