Wow she is huge! Is this as big as she will get? How old is she? How big was she when you got her? What do you keep her in.. do you just let her roam around? Sorry lots of questions, lol. I love lizards and was just curious.
I was told many years ago by a vet who specialized in reptiles that bananas are too high in potassium for most lizards to eat as more than a rare treat.
(If at all.)
He was warning specifically about not feeding them to a green iguana, which is not related, or not closely related to frilled lizards.
Not trying to tell you what to do, of course- just mentioning for informational purposes.
I have a 1 1/2 yr old frilled, very skiddish animals at first, the key is to interact with them a lot and feed them while they are sittin on your hand. mine was 130.00, and she turned out female, their worth a lot of money especially the females when they are older.
Do they make good pets? what does the price range to? how big of an aquarium do they need? whats there care? PLEASE ANSWER ME! ASP! I NEED TO KNOW VERY SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Before any one goes out and buys that cue widdle lizard please.. do ALL the research. Read a BOOK by a pro. These guys need vast amounts of space/specialized light/heat/diet. The vet bills for even a usually robust reptile can sometimes be huge... CONSIDER CAREFULLY. If after all the work you put into researching needs/cost you are still willing and wanting.. then go for it and enjoy.
any lizard can be a good pet so long as you treat it with respect, if this is your first reptile i wouldn´t recomend going for one. try a bearded dragon or chinese water dragon, then move on to something like this, a frill neck can cost around 150$(new guinian) or 1000 around there for an australian and 3rd, its a ¨terrarium¨ considering there is no water in it. if you add live plants it becomes a Vivarium. hope this helps you.
I love this video! I had never seen a frilled be so calm. I didn't think they made good pets but actually, this one seems to be awesome. NICE looking lizard that LUCY, thanks for sharing
when the frill moves it looks like there the ears of a gremlin, but the look like a mix between a bearded dragon and a water dargon bulky head long body
yea there are very friendly if you handle them regulary mine sits on my sholder watchin tv with me all the time there really good pets and hes never even tried to bite me :D
i have a bearded dragon to and they like to be handled just like water dragons, beardys and water dragons are very similiar when it comes to behavior exept for a water dragons jumping
Hey, where did you buy your Frilled Dragon? I can't seem to find them anywhere. If you don't mind could you also tell how much one of them cost? P.s. your Frilled Dragon look happy. :) - Thank You
hey you have called it lucy, yet it looks so much like a male ??:S lol, anyways how did you get it so big, mine isnt half that size, is yours australian ??
LOL!! Great song choice. Good looking lizard. You just gotta love it when they are healthy eaters. Our bearded dragon is a bit of a fussy eater and it can be frustrating.
Yeah some of mine are fussy eaters and don't grow quickly enough, so I just toss those out. The healthy eaters are the ones that will grow fastest, I keep them until they're big enough to make a nice belt or a wallet from. I have a couple that I'm letting get really big, I'm gonna try for a pair of boots out of those guys.
wow, that sure was a "useful" comment. I'm sure that kind of writing helps you maintain that solid C- average that you've worked so hard to achieve in Junior High. Continued good luck with success in your remedial classes and your upcoming competition in the Special Olympics. We're all rooting for you, Rudy!!
Aw, poor little whitetrash boy got his feelings hurt. Now he's going to run home to his mommy and take his ball with him. Have fun pouting, Special Ed. Hopefully mommy will dry your tears and let you suckle for support.
has she always eaten fruit? our frilled lizard won't touch it, though i have had success in dipping his prey in baby food before feeding him. basically, he won't eat anything that isn't alive, regardless of how much we jiggle it for him. i was wondering if you had a trick, because my baby food technique is very messy.
