  • Amazing but please do it with Duel of the Fates.

  • this is awesome! ..goosebumps

  • The intro reminds me of Super Mario Galaxy somehow....

  • I WANT THESE STRINGS FOR FREE! lol. Don't have 1k$

  • Comment removed

  • and this thing is like one thousand $ ??

  • beautiful

  • does ur computer with the specifies mentioned above ever lags or give u a hard time with recording ?

  • Brilliant, thanks for sharing!

  • Hello Peter Nickalls! First of all this is one the best mockup ever created for a John Williams score. Thank You! I just have a question. I see in the video that you managed to have each instrument in one midi channel, meaning every articulations (spic, pizz, leg) combined. Now for example, how did you manage doing that for LA Scoring Strings in Cubase? Thanks a lot! :)

  • @heavenbaby06 Thanks so much for your kind comment! I managed to get each instrument on one midi channel because the strings only use one articulation (except for the bass pizz). Normally I have loads of midi channels for the different articulations!

  • Where can I get a trial of this program? I'm thinking about buying it because it sounds amazing, but I'm afraid to fork out so much money for something I havn't tried before.

  • @dibsmilsurp LASS has a really, really awesome upgrade program. Get LASS Lite or LASS First Chair. They're waaay cheaper and give you a good idea of what you'd get with the Full library, and any money you spend on First Chair or Lite gets put toward the Full library, plus an upgrade fee. LASS doesn't do trials as far as I know.

  • Sounds great!

  • Could midi tracks be added reverb?

  • @callman1 Yes, you can add reverb to midi tracks.

  • Greattttttt Jobbbbb

  • Which woodwinds are you using?

    Great job

  • @ErmirMusic Hi there. All the info is in the description at the top (they're all EWQL SO Gold). Thanks.

  • Impressive! Great job. The LASS sound very well indeed.

  • @CapitamGZ Thank you - glad you like the LASS sound.

  • please, how do you have velocity sensitivity?

  • wow dude!! thanks for this upload.. you really do play so great,, sir i got a question.. when you were playing these instruments..how much was the processor load of your Intel Core i7?.... just curious...thanks

  • @dewalwalers I'm afraid I can't give you an accurate number, but the i7 handles pretty much everything I throw at it with ease.

  • Great! You should write your own music. Because you really have the talent for this. I just wonder, what kind of reverb did you used for this?

  • @framatgubben Thank you. And I do write my own music! My website link is in the description. Reverb was Classic Studio Reverb (IK).

  • Hey there. I see you're using Cubase for the arrangement and recording. I've only recently decided to produce all my music through software independantly and am wondering would I be able to use software like this as an input to Ableton Live 8?

  • @RomanticideMusic Hi there. Yes, Ableton Live 8 should work fine with VST instruments like the ones I have used in this video.

  • Excellent sounding

  • Hello There, Excellent Job done.. about this CUBASE playback... what was your Computer Specs? thank you

  • Great job! The LASS strings are beautiful. One question. Are you able to use LASS on one computer without any trouble?

  • @commalot Absolutely - no problem at all. Having said that, I'm using LASS Lite so I can't speak about the full version of LASS but I'm sure that would work fine too. I also have LASS Lite running OK on a 4 year old laptop as well as my desktop (specs above).

  • did you automize the velocity? Oo

  • cool

  • hey what woodwind and brass instruments are you using? and are you creating the score in sibelius first or quantizing?

  • @thepianolovingman Hey, I'm quantizing - not using Sibelius for this one. The list of sample libraries is in the description at the top - thanks.

  • u use any plug ins??

  • could you write something for me?

  • sounds like E.T.

  • @mkkumbia same composer ;)

  • @soundiscomforting yup i knew ;)

  • Hi, Sounds amazing, well done!!

I'm new to sound libraries - I've been using Logic Pro Studio, and now want to upgrade to other sample libraries. How do you go about using them within Logic?

Particularly things like PROJECTSAMS libraries where its effects that seem very unique? How do you then use Logic to control all that if you dont use the Libraries own interfaces?

Please help! Can't find the answer anywhere! Thanks!

  • Dude that was outstanding... but you cant tell me you did this by ear!?!!?

  • Quite good! You got a few important durations wrong, but if you arranged that by ear, you've done a great job. LA Scoring Strings is powerful, I can see.

  • @OriginalMasters Thanks for the comment. I think 'wrong' is a bit strong. Sure, some of the rubato is different from the original but I tried to get it pretty close without worrying too much. If you read the description you'll see that I played in the parts from the Hal Leonard score.

  • @PNickallsComposer Superb ! Could'nt hear any difference with the original...

  • @PNickallsComposer good performance using midi!

  • I loved it mate. Superb work! I wish I was as good as you :)

  • Pretty much flawless! Nicely done :)

  • like it,is Cubase working ok on 64-bit system?

  • @thermal868 Yep, it works really well and it's great to have more RAM available. Only problem is some plugins and older VSTs are 32-bit only so don't work (I have to open up the 32-bit version of Cubase to work with those). I need to get hold of some bridging software (Steinberg's VSTBridge only comes with Cubase 5).

  • @PNickallsComposer I am runnin now on cubase 5 and 64-bit win 7 and all vst-s are workin well and everything is smooth.

  • @PNickallsComposer Hi! good job on this. For the 32/64 bridge I would recommend Jbridge. I use it, and it works perfect. Just google it and it comes straight up. It has a price, but it's very cheap!

    Cheers!

  • @PNickallsComposer Hey there, nice job on the sequence :) If you're still looking for a bridging software, check out J-Bridge. I use it with Cubase 64bit, works perfectly ;)

  • @AaronCEdwardsMusic Right on bro!I'm on PC,& a lot of users are sleeping on this great bridging digital contraption.I haven't had any major flaws with it,& I don't know what the hell I'd do without it.I'm on a 64bit OS,32bit sequencer & plugins,& fuck!!!Thx to it,(& thus access to 16 Gigs of Ram),with an i7-980 Extreme orchestrating it all,I feel limitless on CPU/RAM issues.& of course, many have superior systems;but I for one love what jbridge lets me have as workflow & sample boundaries.Peace.

  • Hey Hello pnickallscomposer, thats sounds great, what type of pc (ram, proscessor, Hd, etc) do you use for play this composition? good work!

  • @pedrouicab Hi - thanks for the comment. Here's my spec:

    Intel Core i7 Processor 860 (2.80Ghz, 8MB)

    8GB Ram

    Windows 7 64-bit

    2 x 1TB 7200 RPM

  • @PNickallsComposer it's overkill, i bet you haven't seen your processor go over 18%

  • @bally28 It's not overkill when I have a huge orchestral template loaded.

  • @PNickallsComposer true, really enjoyed it, thanks, what plug ins need J-bridge? i use kontakt 4 only. when do i know when to use J-bridge?
