  • I wish hitler spent more time killing gays than jews

  • @Sturmgehwehr, those who leave comments so hateful that they almost appear evil are instantly blocked from my channel.

  • the ladies in the military could use you for douche rags ,or tampons .... fucking pansy ass tail gunning maggot

  • @chevyracin10sec, I think you have a problem, and you need some serious help.

  • they should let gays in the military they make great bullet sheilds!

  • @00camaro71, that wasn't just hateful, that was evil, and you know it. You've been blocked.

  • this guy really impresses me. sorta in a small way reminds me of Harvey Milk but at a completely different angle.

  • @GetALifePleaseThanks, what do you think about gay people openly serving in the military?

  • "acts gay" in uniform. As Long as he acts professionally with in military regs it is ok but once he is a civilian he should be able to express what he wants to. How ever the military is wrong for firing him just cause he is gay. If he has a good performance record and everything it shouldnt matter if he is gay or not because they should know he will do his duties to the fullest of his ability. When i serve i dont mind having a gay commander. How ever i do believe in the DADT

  • I dont care i think that he should stay in as long as he doesnt show his feelings. and act gay while being in uniform i have no problem. As long as he acts professionally during work im ok and all for him to stay in but if he acts it out in uniform and during work then thats something i would have to agree not letting him in. but for now i say let him stay. And BroadCastTuber how does this have to do with effecting our National Security or effecting the way the military is?

  • SuperDwang, thanks for your comment. I agree that he should be allowed to continue to serve in the military. If I could ask a question though, what do you mean when you say "act gay" or "acts it out"? Do you mean people sexually harassing others with inappropriate advances? Or do you mean if you are asked if you are gay you say yes? Or if a gay person writes a love letter to a loved one back home? Or if a gay person shows an ordinary picture of him/her and his/her loved one next to bed?

  • I don't think gays and lesbians should be able to join the US Military. I have nothing against them or w/e (they should be allow to get marry and etc.) but as far the military goes: NO

It going to put the soldiers/marines in uncomfortable situations. In the US Marine Corps, there are hardcore marines who are willing to fight and died on command, the gays/les will experience some kind of discrimination, since the corps is more of a "men" culture, some marines are homophobic.

  • BroadCastTuber, If the existence of LGBT soldiers are going to put other soldiers/marines in uncomfortable situations, then that isn't the fault of LGBT soldiers, that's the fault of those uncomfortable soldiers, and that's the problem area that needs to be solved in our military. I am sure racism existed in the military decades ago, and that didn't stop President Harry Truman from issuing an executive order to integrate blacks and whites together in the military, because that was right.

  • Like I said before, I got nothing against gays/lesbians

I'm just worry about how it would affect our military, our national security. The military been doing fine, why change it.

Over 1,000 military officers sign to oppose gays from joining the military b/c it was said that it would lower troop's Morales.

  • BroadCastTuber, it's a simple answer - the military should be changed so people who are LGBT can live freely like every other soldier, not have to hide their significant others, not have to hide pictures of their loved ones. I think the argument of gays lowering the morale of troops is a fallacy - gay people are no different than straight people, and all people have the equal capacity for true morale. To those that disagree with me, I say "stop your cowardice and be a man about it."

  • Well, all I have to say is that I respect your opinion as I do hope you respect mine as well.

  • I used to belong to a rugby team with both gay and straight players, and one of them was straight who served in the Army during Operation Desert Storm. One of the soldiers in his group was gay, and he didn't care as long as he reported for duty and did what he was told to do.

I think Lt. Dan Choi said it best in that if you can't be honest with others, you are not serving with honor, and that alone is why DADT should be repealed.

  • I don't think US Military going to allow gays/lesbians to join anytime soon.

  • Excellent

  • I wish you the best and have written your review board and my congressmen.

  • H-E-R-O

  • No video could do justice to Dan and his speeches. He has such presence and poise, it really must be witnessed to feel all he is telling us.

However, thank you for recording and posting it, so those not privileged enough to make it could still hear his words.

  • the8thlilpeep, I can tell you that from being there to witness his speech first-hand, it was as electric as the speech he gave at the Meet In The Middle 4 Equality rally in Fresno, CA. I think he has the charisma and fire to be another Harvey Milk or MLK, if you ask me.

Feel free to watch a video of him talking about the National Equality March on Washington in October here:

    watch?v=a_5W-HDCNps

  • Yes, indeed. I was at Meet in the Middle too, and the energy in the air was amazing. He really knows not only how the write his speeches well, but also has amazing delivery.

  • Unite brothers and sisters! Incredible speech Dan Choi. Its time we got ride of Don't Ask Don't Tell!

  • Wonderful, passionate speech! Very powerful ideals.

  • Lt Choi is better each time. I like that he uses Arabic poetry to express his points, and his integrity in calling for an end to silence and hiding.

  • LT Choi has the fight and fire of Stonewall and ACT UP! in his heart. Wish him luck as he fights our battle againt Dont Ask/Dont Tell next week. He is the future & right now of the LBGT community.

  • Alright!
