  • This ROCKS!!!!! I love the original but this is great too!

  • this is the girl that can do it right and she knows it better than anyone

  • LOVE this song, should have been released as a single. The album version is miles better, this one lacks the energy of the original, but I'm still thrilled to hear a live version. The guitar player looks really dumb with his dangling cig, though.

  • @Cicilo1983 I have agree with you. The album version compared to this version is a million times better. However, while on her 1985 she made the live version a million times better than the album version.

This is from her 1984 tour. Tina didn't record her Private Dancer tracks until February 1984! Took her 2 weeks to record the entire album!!

  • @jayrock905, I didn't know she performed it on her Private Dancer tour ! The tour video didn't include this song, I guess it must have been edited. I'm sure it was amazing to hear that one live after she recorded a definitive version on her album !

  • @Cicilo1983 It was performed in Birmingham, and at other stops on the tour. I know Helsinki, Frankfurt, Atlanta, Australia and Japan. The audio is around somewhere I have it on a CD somewhere. It's even longer than this version

  • @Cicilo1983 you are right. But the live version from her Break Every Rule Tour is just AMAZING, something out of this world!

  • rock on baby

  • OOOOOOOOOHHHHHH" how I long for the old days again,

  • Tina, the Queen of Rock and the best dancer in high heels !! She's simply the best!

  • tina is so sexy. my girl forever.

  • She is forever my Queen!!!!

  • ^^^ All the fans Tina's in facebook, YEAHHHHHHHHH

    Steel CLAW ^^^

  • It definatelly isnt as amazing as the album version but its still phenominal.

  • Check out the venue,I know it was a long time ago but she is kicking ass with a 4 piece.now thats rock and roll

  • It's a very important political song about what it's like to grow up in poverty in America and the politicians don't give a shit. It's excellent!

  • I think the song is talking about when you deal with someone who is bad you get bad in life so aint no need of complaining and dont be surprised.

  • She's awesome and the band is ok, but it has a mushy feel to it. I love the kick-ass version on the album. Jeff Beck's guitar has attitude and says it all!

  • Great song. Bout the inner city when you live in poverty & can't find a way out.

  • WOW GO ON TINA !!!!!

  • 'Fairytale 'bout some bitch' is my favorite line of the song!

  • If the Idiots make them, then the People need to break them.

  • LOVE TINA,but never understood what this song was about.

  • TINA!

  • You can listen to a version of this song by the writer, Paul Brady, and his band live from a club in Ireland with a great guitar solo by Phil Palmer on Paul Brady's website. Best ever!

  • Tina Turner is brilliant

  • Dave edmunds - Steel claw?

  • Was there ever a video clip for this son g I love it

  • Tina' why do you do this to me? you bring your sexy ass out on stage all hot and sweaty' and you know I cannot keep my shirts on when you perform

  • i´v heard this song with a guy singing ? does anyone heard that ?

  • Hi I think it was probably a guy from Ireland called Paul Brady who wrote this song, as far as i know his is the only other published version.

  • yeah alright :) thnx for the answer ! great song !

  • Dave Edmunds has made a very upbeat version of this song as well

  • Hey hey thanks for posting this - it's my absolute favourite Tina vid...

  • I wish someone would post the version from "Private Dancer" with Jeff Beck

  • This was in Arnhem, The Netherlands somewhere at the end of 1983 at the opening of some sort of disco club.

  • GREAT !!!!

    Where was this???

  • steeeeeeeeeel tina!

  • such an energetic song and a cool performance of tina. thank you very much for uploading this rare footage.

does someone know when this was recorded?

  • 1982

  • Nope, not 1982. "Private Dancer" (album) came in 1984, so this is totally unlikely she'd play a song live which she plans to release 2 years later. Dismissed =)

  • Yes. This is a cover song. The writer, Paul Brady, originally recorded the song in 1980. It was released first by Dave Edmunds and then Tina. Besides from 1975-1983, Tina had no original songs so when touring, she covered many songs. The concert was around the time of Tina's success with BEF, which was in 1982

  • I Love it!! Tina Turner is the Queen of Rock!
