That recording is actually made 2006. they've just made some arrangements to make it sound like 1970's w/ Kara DioGuardi for the vocals. You can find more information on Wikipedia. Well...Kara has had MAJOR connections in the music industry for a LOT of years now. So I don't think that's the issue here. I think she's making so much money selling her songs that she just kept going down that road. However...I can see an awful lot of people crying out for a change in that now. Many many successful singers have HITS that she has written, it's just that not many people realized this until VERY recently. She's quite a prolific writer and producer with a LOT of awards from the music industry. Google her. :)

I think Kara and Christina are 2 different style. That's why Kara won't release a song she would give to Christina Aguilera. well in terms of versatility, yes, Kara is a better singer than Xtina by a mile. Xtina can sing, but her monotonous display of emotion gets old rather quickly. plus i've never really thought of her as a true artist anyway. as of Kara, she stirs up a lot of good old memories. (ironic for me to say that considering i'm just 20), but she reminds me of Stevie Nicks in her heydays, when pop was not a degrading word for musicians.
