  • The most interesting aspect is that Ralph could have had a mentoring role in training her with the powers he knows about.

  • It's certainly interesting to see "what might have been", but I can't say I really like either Holly, or the way Ralph lost the suit.

  • This was supposed to originally be a pilot movie for a new series. It was later reedited into an episode. This is probably why this seems so... rushed.

  • Pretty good, only flaws is they rushed it, they didn't even show the priceless parts like her reaction when he told her about it, remember when Ralph got the suit? the first half the show was him in shock and developing his character, they skipped it, its always a huge mistake when they rush things.

Notice at the credits they mentioned daylight savings time? it was talking about putting your clock ahead, a few hours ago i just put my clock back!!

    Now that's spooky!

  • 2:19

  • I think one of the prerequisites for the suit must be big hair. No wonder Ralph had to give it up, the aliens didn't approve of his 'do.

  • Ralph chose the wrong person (Skirt) cause the show cancelled.

  • The suit just looks lame on a chick. No offense to the ladies but seriously, it doesn't.

  • @AgileMJOLNIR That suit looks lame on anybody - period!

  • I would have thought that Ralph would have given the suit to one of his students.

  • This show was so dumb.

  • Robert Culp died today... He passed away after 11 AM Pacific Time... He fell and hit his head... A jogger found him and called the Peramedics but was pronounced dead at a hospital.. There will be an Autopsy to find out what happened. Sad sad day for TGAH fans...

  • Get over yourself pal... There was a magic that the original 3 had... Besides she is too Damn gung ho for the suit gag... At least the original series shows Ralph learning slowly about the suit and what he was to do with it... The dame they got for this does not feel right to me... Jade says the same thing that Ralph got into trouble for having the same attitude... The original is better then this slop...

  • @williamkatt81 You're right - probably the biggest irony of all of it was that the successor was EXACTLY like Ralph was and Ralph lost the suit. While I know Katt chose to stay with "Perry Mason" instead of returning to "GAH," they should've had a better farewell in mind for him and Connie instead of what happened. If they had a better one, this might've worked better.

Then again, after finding out the entire plot, and feeling THIS was the better cut, nothing could've saved it IMHO..thankfully

  • @jadewarlock I know.. The green Guys really screwd up.... She was just like Ralph and they did nothing to set her straight... I liked it when Bill told Pam.. "So far you and I are the only ones that know." about the suit.. It's gotta stay that way..." He was so right.. Whoever wrote this had their head up their ass... Way to mess with a good thing NBC...

  • I think that the concept of comedic heroine just isn't very appealing. Since the show depended so much on physical comedy and visual gags that are not what is common to see women performing, not even today, the show ended up failing.

Heck, the whole concept of seeing a guy wearing that suit was funny, put it on a woman and we lose that too.

  • @TheSciFiCat Well seeing Ardal O'Hanlon wearing tights in My Hero as a superhero for 6 season! Has help made the BBC reconsider sci-fi fantasy as a marketing business and the U.K. no longer known for stuffy period piece dramas. If the rest of your country men can lighting up with some humor in the Telly so can you!

  • @digipeeper I haven't seen or heard of that series so I cannot judge it. Also, countrymen? First, a nationality does no define personal taste, Saying that all UK citizens drink tea and and have bad teeth is as much a generalization as saying that "If the rest of your country men can lighten up with some humor in the Telly so can you!" What country are you assuming I'm from? I'm Spaniard happen to hate bullfighting and don't sleep "siestas" so that stereotype doesn't apply either.

  • ....

  • oh this is sssssssssssso wrong! The whole episode is such a bad joke! God I cannot believe it! Ralph was my hero when I was a kid, THEY REALLY SPOILED IT WITH THIS CRAP IDEA, I'm glad I didn't watch it back when I was little, as it never aired in my country, because I would have killed myself

  • IN your country? You have Doctor Who. The Greatest of Sci-Fi shows. I guess this does suck in comparison.

  • Marry Ellen Stewart looks better on the suit then Katt does. She looks like she could be his sister.

  • Keep your Boner in your pants for those that dig the chick... She looks like a HOOKER... She is so saccerine she could rot your teath... Katt made the role "real" he was scared, aprehensive, angry, and all that... With him you never knew what was going to happen.. She looks like she can walk out in publc wearing that thing.. After all she IS suppsed to be a SECRET Superhero... She is doing all the things that got Ralph busted... Why didn't the green guys zip her lip??? I am glad the herone bombs

  • @williamkatt81 Well I guess, with your negative comments about the the actress, you sure do have a secret crush for William Katt!!!

It was a attempt by NBC to continue on with the series with a new lead, yes it bombed and forgotten. Be greatful that history ran the way it did on t.v.

  • I thought that the show was cool... It is just short changed by ABC and put down for the kiddie stuff... Thank God I never watched this passed the passing of the suit... I loved Ralph as he saw the ability in everyone.. Even in the class that he had.. He understood where they came from and gave them the support they needed to be better people...

  • indeed.

  • this pilot never aired. So in continuity it probably never happened.

  • As far as I am concerned... IT NEVER HAPPENED...

  • This show had alot of heart and potential that was held back by ABC and the fact that in the mid 80's effects were so costly and time consuming. Network brass and most of HOLLYWOOD are not artists just people there to get rich so they pushed to turn this into a kid show. Katt was writing a comic based on the series and he and CANNELL are trying for a motion pic.

  • I can understand all that stuff.. But why in the hell would they go for this bimbo that is so get go for the whole thing.... After all wasn't she supposed to be a "secret superhero.." She acts like she can go out in front of the world and be a hero... The suit is supposed to be kept a secret... Ms mary sunshine makes me want to vomit... really... I agree on the summer camp for Squirrels bit....

  • I did find it ironic that a. Ralph who got into trouble for this, chose a woman who did the same thing, but she wasn't removed from the suit, and b. that the green guys seem to let Bill get off the hook in this but in "Vanity," they would've also had Ralph stripped of the suit for Bill's transgressions.

(Then again - given the green guys mention erasing Bill's memory, then he's suddenly Holly's teammate, it was obvious they did a 180 when Culp agreed to stay with the show).

  • This isn't entirely true - NBC took it over from ABC, and they put it in the watershed hour, which meant it wasn't going to have the eps we knew and loved.

Then again, given that Katt chose to stay with "Perry Mason" (I can't blame him as the series was very popular in original run and TV movies), and ABC was selfish and wouldn't let Connie cross over from their network (which had "Hotel") to film eps for NBC, it was best this didn't happen.

  • @bobisdark it was included for air in the syndication package.

  • Holly is a loser... She gives me a headache with her overeagerness... At least with Ralph you never knew what was going to happen... She looked like a 2 dollar hooker in that suit... I cried when they said good-bye... It was like losing a friend....

  • no, I didn't cry, but It is thebest way to end a series that wasn't that good anyway.

  • @williamkatt81 if anything the suit should have canged shape for a woman wearing it. that's what shoul hve happened really...not the same suit that Ralph wore...just doesn't look good at all...

  • Would have been an interesting series. Too bad.

  • I don't think so, she doesn't have the manual, know one wants to see a loser superheroine.

  • The concept - a woman wearing the suit - does have potential. That said, how Ralph lost the suit (out of character for him - all three suffered here), the weak casting of Holly (the words are strong, just how they're played out isn't) and the choppiness of the story (which again, made no sense), there was no prayer it was going to make it.

Then again - making the suit one piece also didn't make sense, so that should've been a red alert.
