@hulk239239 Potassium Sulfide (chemical formula K2S, not to be confused with Potassium Sulfate - K2SO4) is water soluble, damn! Whatever you need it for (I do not even dare to guess, it is your problem, and possibly a bigger problem for someone else), just add water!
@hulk239239 I've seen them both in bottles so they are (they are used in smaller doses in general anaestesia so they are not lethal in small doses). First is Sodium Thiopental, which is fast barbiturate and causes instant uncounciousnes (however, in lethal injections, it is administered in higher dose, so this first step coud be lethal alone). Second is Pancuronium Bromide, a musscle relaxant, and it shoud prevent violent spasms, also it can cause death by paralising breathing. (...)
@hulk239239 ... And third is Potassium Chloride, which stops the heart. Administering of Potassium Chloride alone would be enough to kill anyone, as it acts on nerve and muscle cells causing all muscles to contract (including heart muscle), but this, even if short, would be extremely painful for condamned and unpleasant for viewers. Potassium Chloride is, by allmost everything, incredibly limilar to Sodium Chloride (ordinary salt), it can even be used in the same manner (for salting a dinner)...
@hulk239239 ...except it is of a more bitter taste. So it is not a toxic chemical, even more, it is essential for life and every living human or animal has it in own blood in small concentration, finely balanced with other chemicals in body. What is acheved in lethal injection is actually disrupting that balance. (You could do same if injecting large amounts of solution of ordinary salt or sugar or whatever you may think of... it's not about the chemical, it is about balance)
@aleksandarrudic thanks that explains alot so how much potassium chloride is mixed with water to make the injection it says on wikipedia 100millgrams for a lethal dose so is that mixed with a load of water(and does it still keep its lethalness when mixed with water?)thanks again
@hulk239239 I must admit I have no idea of dose used in lethal injection, but I guess it is many (tens, hundreds) times larger than minimum lethal (I guess they do not take a chance). About mixing with water, of course. Even if you would manage somehow to inject powder into blood, it would dissolve in water, as water is major compound of blood. Only dissolved it can get to cells and act, no other way.
I can't believe that California wants a new death house. It is stupid we still have capital punishment. It is even stupider that California wants this especially when the state's economy isn't doing that good. I assume that all the negative thumb's down comments are for those who support capital punishment. It is stupid to even support it in the first place. Hopefully the Capital Punishment will be abolished and we can live in a higher civilized world!
I say bring it on. I live in the UK and would vote to reinstate capital punishment. We have too many evil murderers who serve less than 10 years and then get released to kill again. The cost of incarceration could be better spent on a whole raft of social projects minus the cost of a bullet for those who, by their own actions, have given up the right to be treated humanely and have shown no regard or respect for their victims. If a wild animal was killing kids and adults we would
@magic1926 Oh, so you want us to get rid of capital punishment? That means you want child rapists and murderers to go free. What a filthy piece of human garbage you are. I hope none of these murderers you release will come and kill someone in your family, because they don't deserve to die for your idiotic beliefs.
@OHLeeRedux Who in the fuck do you think you are? You think I have Idiotic Beliefs. LOOK AT YOU. You want to bring back the gas chamber just to kill a judge of Jewish decent. You are fucked up.
I have read the evidence on serial killer Robert Rubane Diaz. There was not any real evidence to convict him. He worked in a old & broke hospital & the doses of lidocaine were not uncommon in a deceased patient. He has been in prison for 20 years - he's 70 & he may be innocent. Even if he was guilty there was not enough actual evidence to convict him . There have been many people released by DNA technology proving their innocence. It's a tough thing to judge others.
@ihatelittlepunks The California Supreme Court - dominated by murderous Jews - has ruled the gas chamber unconstitutional. They took the chairs out of the chamber and put in a gurney to do lethal injections. But now another fucking Jew judge has said that lethal injection is cruel and unusual punishment. We need to bring back gas chambers for You Know Who.
@OHLeeRedux Wow they should definatley reinstate the gas chamber. What are they going to do now that lethal injection is "unconstitutional"? They have like 650 death row inmates. They should definatley put in the two chairs again and have doubles every other night.
look mancunioner, i get your point but i still think it is wrong.
I in no way want life to be easy for evil people who commit the worst most evil crimes. I however think that there always has to be an escape route because you can NEVER be certain if someone has really committed the crime.
I'm not saying ever let them go unless new evidence comes to light because you are right, they could reoffend.
As for it costing taxpayers money, well thats the nature of the beast. unfair but unaviodable
I can't believe the death penalty still exists. any country which calmly and rationally decides to sentance a man to death is committing cold blooded murder.
it is so backward thinking it belongs in the 17th century.
No one ever can be certain what someone has/ or hasn't done. death is so final- it can never be taken back.
By a state killing someone, they are impending a pure punishment. there is no hope for rehabilitation.
@simblack72 so what people who kill people and plan to do like john allen muhammad dc sniper guy who dies tomorrow should just be in a cell for the rest of his life costing tax payers money etc, rehabillitation doesnt work and if you think that your a mug, people go in come out do the same etc and its just a cycle, the only way to stop killers is to end their life, then others who see this may think twice cos to some people prison is better than there actual life anyway so its no punishment
i totally agree, they cost milklions and then go on to kill again on release. where there is incontrovertible proof that a horrendous crime had been commited ie child murder then society should put them down just as you would a rabid or wild dog that had killed a kid. Im scottish and would welcome back capitaql punishment and a far more draconian justice system as there is little deterrant in the UK for criminals. Prisons should be more rigid and with less luxuries, hard time should mean that
i think you will find its called civilised- not weak.
I apprciate your point and by the way im british not american. be ashamed if you like but not on account of me!
look, its just my opinion and maybe i have no right to critisize ure govts policy. however i think eventually it will be stopped and history will look back to it and think a state backed murder to be wrong.
it will be the same with saudis, iran, china south korea etc. all of which i regard the same.
Great, we've spent all this money on a new facility, now can we please get on with the task of using them? How long do all these dirtbags languish on death row? It seems to me most of them die of old age, what a shame.
A man now sreving time in a California prison murdered 1 of our family members. Why is it that California won't
allow the victims/public to see pictures & statistics regarding the crime, how much time is left to serve, etc. Anyone with any knowledge in getting permission for information for Calif. inmate, please respond. Thanks.
The death penalty is barbaric, especially to the inmate's family. They are innocent. It's not going to bring the victim back to life. Why destroy ANOTHER family?
Barbaric is what the person did to their victim or victims. Just like what Scott Peterson did to his wife and child. What is going to happen to him is nothing compared to what he did to his wife. I bet you wouldn't say that if you were a victim and someone did your child like that.
Did you get the part about the families of the executed? What about that?
And what about the innocent people who get executed? It happens. Death is not reversible upon discovery of new evidence.
Re: Scott Peterson - I believe that he is guilty of that horrible crime. He should be locked up for life with no possibility of parole. That is a worse sentence than death, in many ways. San Quentin is NO country club.
If my child was raped and murdered i would not give a shit about the family of the person who did it. An eye for an eye. And for Scott, he doesn't deserve to breath let along live, Laci nor Conner never had that choice. He took that away from them when he murdered her. Sorry i have my opinion and i'm sticking to it like everyone else is sticking to theirs. Deal with it.
It used to be possible for citizens of California to do so. However, it is restricted to media and case connected individuals now. States that do have provisions for citizen witnesses by law - Virginia, Maryland, Florida, Missouri, Arizona. Texas is just as restrictive as California.
Why is the old gas chamber still used for lethal injection? When California abolish the gas chamber, why didn't they build a new death chamber. The locks on the door make it harder to get to the prisoner in time if a stay is called or clemency is granted.
Historic significance. The execution chamber had been there since 1938. Also, at that time injection was established, gas remained an alternative. They didn't have any available space that was open for a seperate facility at that time. The lethal injection protocol worked just fine in the old gas chamber at San Quentin, just as it does in Nevada. Unlike the movies, there are extensive precautions and last minute verification phone calls to take place before an execution starts.
please answer as quick as possible
if potassium sulfide is a crystal then crused into a powder and sold what would be added to make it into the liquid that is put into the person

In Florida, you can log onto The Florida Dept of Corrections, search
the inmates name & guess what happens? You are allowed
to see his face/prison picture. What's wrong with that California?
Why do your criminals get sheltered from the innocent public? I do not understand! I want to see the MURDER'S FACE who killed our family member!
