  • we call them Osage oranges, as for the metal you found in the bottle dump it looks to me like a strap from a lady's garter belt used to hold up stockings

  • we have them too here in Illinois..we call ours Hedge apples..They come from a Hedge Tree..They cut the tree's here for fence Post..they are not straight tree's at all.Good Video

  • That lock you found is old i found one myself here is some info on the lock.The RFD marking is for rural free delivery and the label was given to outlying rural areas which the government designated as being entitled to free mail delivery. Before rural free delivery those who lived in these areas had to travel to a distant post office to pick up their mail or pay for private mail delivery. Rural free delivery was introduced around 1896 and RFD mail routes continued for several decades.

  • Cool video Yulelah, that bottle dump looks real promising. Go back there with a 4 prong potato fork and see what's hiding under the leaves and soil. I look forward to seeing what you find.   • That metal item looks like a napsack J hook. The Osage Oranges you showed us are called Horse Apples in Texas.

  • @jmwnycprr ya grab a heavy rake and go to town on that site.you will find a bunch of good ones just below the surface

  • Looks like you have a good bottle dump just pick a good spot that looks like it has old bottles and start digging the deeper you go the older they get!!
