Hmm handling a cat as frightened as this one shouldn´t be as terrible as showed in the video. One person can grab him from the skin that is behind his head and neck with one hand while pulling backwards (he can bite you real bad if the head is loose), and with the other hand grab both front legs. And another person (the vet) can grab his hind legs, and that´s it. This way they calm down a bit cause they are aware that they can´t move so they don´t fight back as much as in the video.

When I took my cat to the vets recently he did the same thing, accept bounce around every where trying to get free. Eventually the vet called in a nurse to help hold my cat down. But my cats about had it, and he's at the end of the life road.. Poor little guy.. he's in such bad shape right now the only best thing would be to put him to sleep.

The vets here in Torrance, Ca. in the U.S. put the cat in a box then stick a tube in the box that has a gas that put them to sleep or sedates them so they can then do the proper tests. This way you don't get bit or scratched.

a cat muzzle would be great if it actually did its job, it usually just pisses them off even more and they can easily slip out of it.. once you have successfully turned the cat into an angry lion, nothing will make them cooperate. that much stress for the cat makes the blood results all wacky, shoulda just sedated her and then let her go home that evening.

I'm a former vet tech, and I see this all the time. And usually the cat is just scared and angry at being in unfamiliar surroundings and having strangers touching him.  And half the time the owner says, "He/She is NEVER like this at home!"
