Well you still have good music out there, I'm sure. But Metallica was just one of the few good metal bands to really get out there. I completely understand what you mean, though.

And you do have to understand that styles change, and up and coming bands that are really trying to get big have to appeal to a different audience. That said, you'll still hear new bands with really solid influences. You just have to look hard..

If we're talking about new Thrash/Heavy metal, Sevendust, Kreator, Nevermore, Iced Earth, and things like that would be more appropriate than Rise Against or Three Days Grace.
