It greatly depends on the setting of your amp and effects. But I think the problem is rather that your finger hits the string too weak. Its quite hard to make that "hammer on" sound nice. That affords a lot of practice and it might also be that the "action" of your strings is too high, so it depends on your guitar, too.
Thats pretty sweet man... ive been trying that tapping solo for ages and i cant get it right... i was wondering if u could help me with it... when im tapping on the 3rd string... after i do the

That last tap... as i remove my finger from it to tap the 15th on the 1st string... the 3rd string continues to ring and it just ruins everything. I don't know how to fix it.
As soon as you tap the A note (16 on 3rd string) to go back on the 1st string, you have to mute it with your palm so it doesn't make any sound... this is how I do it
Thats what everyone seems to say... it's just that looking at romeo playing it it doesnt look like hes muting it with his palm so I was hoping there was some trick to it. Thanks for the reply.

man please someone help me, because i can't make that the first String sound again when i make it :S its somthing like this:
i can make this: 15-14-12 (first string) 16-12-11-9-11-12-16 (third string)
but when i must go over again i cant make THIS note sound:
12 (this one) - 14 (and this one) -15 (first string)
all others i can do it, but how can i make that 12 and 14 fret sound right, coz' here i can't make it :S
