I wanted to include a video response, but I think I deleted it from the queue. It's the same song Ms Lang sings here and you'll find it under VocalMechanics.
In 1966, in Chicago, I began to study with a great teacher, mezzo soprano Mme Sonia Sharnova. In ’68 or thereabouts, a former student was singing Trovatore with Richard Tucker in St. Louis, and she drove up to Chicago for a lesson. Her name was Lang. I thought it was Judith, but it could have been Edith. Remember, this was a one-time conversation in 1968. If it was Edith, I have a photo of her teacher on my web-site with a little history -- my handle dot com.
