I think what happens (this is my op, never seen gekiranger) is daishi takes on his true form, releasing jared, chamile falls for jared, and then they end up being good guys.
they've also added new rangers to the series so filming extra footage with this "zord" combination isn't out of the question. (this combination or with wolf pride megazord)
Well more ground fights get filmed, but extra zord footage is pretty rare. The one created for the finale of SPD was the first they did since MMPR, as far as I know.
It's a special combination, Goetsu Doshu Jyuken Gattai, where bitter foes are forced to work together to trump their foes.
Maybe instead of waiting for the newer episodes of Power Rangers, you could watch the Gekiranger episodes. They're much better. I'd check Veoh(dot)com for them.
