my first and greatest love will always be the art student with the dark hair who appears at 0:35. at the risk of sounding like a cyber-stalker, I'd give anything to learn who she is.
Im 33 soon and this has made me feel like a kid again. Brings back happy memories but I never did see my picture on his gallery. I still enjoyed watching it. Kids tv was so much better back then.
I remember when my bro and I used to watch it together XD was an awesome show XD
I studied Art and Design in college (foundation and then intermedate) and now am thinking of doing something along the lines of a kids comic book based on animals :D
I'd have loved to have met Tony Hart in person but I came to being almost like.... five feet away from him coz he was doing a shop floor thing near to where Iive =/
Ah, happy days. You'd never get an older man presenting a children's programme on TV now, someone would accuse them of being a peadophile in no time at all :(
I wish the BBC would release all the Hart Beats on DVD, I loved watching them when I was younger and often wonder how many great artists he inspired over the years. I ended up going to the same art college as him!
Tell me about it matafuko, totally a club track for the 1st 4 seconds, that reverse cymbal is a staple of modern trance music! Wonder what year this was out, it was the 1980's! Way before any trance or dance music was even a twinkle in music producers bollocks. You hear this and start to see how the music came about, inspirational shit like this we all remember as kids. :)
Always loved watching Tony Hart when I was a kid & was the main reason why I had such a interest in art at school, RIP Tony, hope your inspiring others up in heaven
amazing memmories and this music is fantastic - going back to it it sounds like a lost human league/ sci-fi film theme tune! Fond memmories of Tony Hart...such a gentile soul for us kids back then RIP Mr Hart
americans like bob ross but tony hart was more than an artist - he encouraged creativity!!! love him and he's what inspired me to get started in animation :D
im trying to find a probram on youtube that i swear was on cbbc1 around 1990. it was called Bitsa, can anyone recal this? had some caravan people making art out of old junk and was very of it's time, newage and all that.

Classic. The intro is so 80s! Compare Tony Hart to the modern glue-sniffers we have today, and learn!

Fantastic show. This was when it was at it's best. You inspired millions of kids and made art interesting for them. RIP Tony...
It just seems eerie this video was uploaded just 3 days before his death.
