Sorry guys, best encore ever was last night (Feb. 28th) was Burning Down The House at Radio City, NYC where he joined in a kickline with the Radio City Rockettes. Effin brilliant!
Technically third time for EAMB. Two years in a row at Fillmore, one with Byrne watching from side stage with EAMB staying in the crowd complete with simulated sex on the floor, and the 2nd year together on BDTH encore, I think with bullhorn vocals. Anybody remember the crowd reaction at the Fillmore to "This Must Be the Place"; they wouldn't let him start the next song? I've never seen anything like that, but it also happened at the Monday show after, hmm, can't remember, anyone?
The show was amazing. I've never heard Byrne's voice in such fine form, and while not usually recognized for his guitar-playing, Byrne displayed absolute mastery. Personally, I wanted to hear more from the new album (Everything That Happens). I've been plumbing its depths for weeks, but not many audience members seemed familiar it. They were appreciative but less than ecstatic. IMHO the new stuff was simply gorgeous. The evening was also a tribute to the genius of Brian Eno. Thanks Mr. Eno!
Marching band is actualy from Oakland. Thsi si e second time he's done it, he had them come on stage 3-4 years ago at the Filmore - he is such a talant!
Agreed. Best encore ever. The marching band came down the aisle and pushed the dancing audience aside to get up on stage. The marching band is from San Francisco.
David NEEDS to get back together with the Talking Heads. One of, if not the, best concerts I ever saw

This video is amazing! Can't believe how wonderful Byrne sounds in the concert, his voice still keeps young. I really hope I can see him on tour!
