Okay so a pretty toxic chemical used for photography (like developing film) spilled on her eyes and she went blind. The man, who loves her soo much, gave up both of his eyes (which also means giving up his profession) and transplanted them to her, so that she could see.

In the end, it sorta summed it up where they are both lying down and he grabs her arm before getting surgery.

thats part of the story. thats y she bows to him. hes an elder. thats also y his son (whos pretty old) dosnt flip out. he looks sad like his dad moved on but thats not it. they were just friends not lovers...yet so he just shrugs it off. thats y there was nothing physical like kissing between them. he gave his eyes not only because he was starting to like her but because it was his fault. he sacrificed for her young life to go on without him. he knew it wasnt right for them to be together
