yes, if u a good amount of seeds, you're .torrent file will download a lot faster. But make sure, no matter what file it is, that the Seeds is higher than the leechers.

But, I just recently tested a movie, that has 238 seeds and 87 leechers, and it jumped to like 90+ kBps. so ya

it also depends on where you download from, and the tracker speed.

Recently, I downloaded a few videos from a site called ipodtvnova (google it), and I got speeds of 600 kb/s, downloading full movies in about 10-15 minutes.
