  • Wow, I love these upbeat house songs! Great when practicing other types of dance as well like breaking since breaking songs usually get boring pretty quickly! :D

  • Hi. I wish you were in Chicago. I am working on a House related project that you'd be perfect for!

  • @bahdyworker hey! what kind of project are you working on? let me know if i can help through my house blog, danceisafeelingDOTcom :)

  • @shipwreck222 Aw, come on, man—rhythm is acquired through practice; we're not born with it :)

  • this is so tight. im gonna learn this 4sre. Do u have the come on song on youtube?

  • @terryagyekum hey bro, i'm releasing that track on a free album sometime in the next 1-2 months. also releasing a separate EP in March. Join my mailing list on danceisafeelingDOTcom for free tunes ;)

  • My main thing is hip-hop social dances and popping, but art is art, and you my friend are an artist. I loved this video, and even more so, I can feel you feeling it. There is no better dancer to watch than the one doing it for themselves and no one else! Stay funky bortha, this is making me start to learn some steps.

  • @BoogalooJew hey brotha, thanks for writing. I started off as a Bboy myself, and I've met many a Funk Stylist and Hip Hop dancer who's into House. It's cool that all our dances have their own rich histories, and yet they intersect in the spirit of dance. do you have your own clips up? Keep Dancing; the world needs more of it. let me know if u dig the other episodes -Danny

  • @DJDannyDance This link is for one of my more recent videos, but the vibe in a studio is much much different then a vibe in a music driven environment. I am going to keep watching, you got my subscription. I'm from Maui,Hawaii.....and honestly.....on this island, only bboys, no hip-hop dancers, no poppers, no lockers, and no house dancers. I've had to travel else where to learn my foundation, and find my spirit. Home just wasn't doin' it.

  • @BoogalooJew missed the link; is it on your page? i hear you about the travel; thank goodness flights ain't as bad as they used to be! technology allows us to chase our paths regardless of where we're at. i think one of my facebook buds is a House Dancer

  • What connection do tou have from brazil? Because im a house Dj in brazil And id like some of my friends to learn some house dancing so my parties get more frequented and a new branch is open to the house music I love so much

  • @geladeiradepao1 hey man, I'm Dominican but I do Capoeira and really like Brazilian women--that's my only connection haha! But yea man, definitely encourage your brazilian friends to learn House Dance so they add flavor to your parties. I am also a DJ and hope to visit Brazil someday to DJ, so let's be in touch

  • @DJDannyDance absolutely, lets keep in touch just give me a heads up when your in sao paulo anyday! I have been seeing house dancing around a few underground clubs here but still really hard to find, need some help. hahaha

  • @geladeiradepao1 awesome, bro! Hope to visit Sao Paulo sometime next year ;). Shoot me your email address so I can send you a new song every week so you can spread the word out there to the Sao Paulo music blogs ;)

  • only 2 words from me so neeeerd,, lol

  • @uv782 haha, agreed! :p

  • go and look up JardySantiago on youtube and watch his tutorials if u want to learn some step names.

  • @Dannyx858 perfect

  • I love how youre ramdomly dancing everywhere.. Good shit! man keep it up..

  • @JhonCardona thanks man! keep dancing--everywhere!! :)

  • just one thing Danny, you cant tell people steps are called " Mamson step" "Terry spin" "Conway step" and say you are teaching people house dance, it seems like you are just biting other dancers and then posting it online...

Take some time to really learn what the steps are called and how to execute them correctly before you try to teach others and spread this dance and culture, you owe it to your predecessors that you are naming in your steps to spread the culture correctly.

    my 2cents

  • @Dannyx858 hey man, yea, i thought about that before i started the series, and even contacted many of the pioneers. I knew up front i'd take some flack for the naming thing, but there's no way around it--a dance style's growth accelerates when ppl can easily communicate the names of movements; unfortunately, the web & print literature on House names is limited. If anyone has authority to name them, or knows their names, I advocate for a naming project. Until then, let's keep dancing...

  • @DJDannyDance so your saying there is no way aroud you teaching people the wrong thing because you dont have the resources to teach the correct thing?!?

Naming project? what are u talking about? all the foundation already has names, if you dont know them then maybe you shouldn't claim to teach house dance and just post clip of you gettin down... i dunno im juss sayn... I love this dance and culture!, its the only reason im commenting.

    Keep dancing! learn, share, create.

  • @Dannyx858 I'm saying whatever agreed-upon foundation that has already named moves is not readily available...I've looked, and I've asked. You can scoff if you want, or you can create your own project to expand the culture according to your own vision. Clearly you love the culture, from what I've seen in you and your boy @jeragala's vids. So do I, even if our philosophies differ.

My primary concern is expanding the dance culture--the culture will self-correct as its critical mass expands

  • @Dannyx858 and this isn't aimed at the people that already know the culture--like ourselves--it's aimed at people who either have never heard of House Dance before, or are barely starting out/have no access in their cities to people to teach them. And to them, the right name to a move could be further from what's important--getting them dancing, and giving them a communication tool to do so easily, is. Thx for your input and good luck to you guys

  • @Dannyx858 exactly my presentiments..

  • Hey Danny,am from Baltimore(B'more)Md, where we love deep and soulful house..I like the dance house video..your gave a great basic description on house moves and how to feel and interpret the music.

Here is one of things we say or sayings you would see at House Muisc parties and events. ,I Roc House,Soul Fiesta,Intense Sounds,Deep Sugar,Collective Mindz, and my favorite BmoreHouseful!

    One!

  • @j1universe J1, thx man. Give my best to Bmore! :) Can't wait to DJ out there sometime soon, i hope. if you know any promoters or such, shoot me a message. I'll look into those sayings, thx for sharing brotha!

  • either way.. good job.. i see you get a lot of subcriptions and people who folow you.. so apparently you must be affecting house dancers from utah somehow, i just ask you to explore outside of the dance you know as house, and youtube SD House aka MNLG short for Monday night love and gratitude, or look up Jardy from soul sector, FLO-ology, or even OPEN HOUSE in LA

  • @jeragala I read your 5-part message and have to thank you for taking all that time to educate. We all share the responsibility of teaching, since this is a community, a culture, so thank you. I'm a DJ and am in tune with those artists you mentioned. I've seen some of the House Dance footage you've referenced, and I know about all the dancers you mention. Will check out some of those SD cats you stated...as for my dancing, I'm okay with you not liking my style of House Dance ;) Be well

  • And If you YouTube, osunlade, karizma, ralf gum, Monique Bingham, Dennis ferrer, or club djoon club podcast you can find deep house music

  • Some links for real house inspiration are, history of house dancing, dance fusion, any dance fusion for that matter ( you need to see that for yourself) Brian and Marjory world soul , "break of dawn", ALIVE TV 3-2 and 3-1, Marjory deep side, and if your gonna dance like Brooklyn Terry, you gotta hit the beats, he doesn't mess around..

  • Who trained with ppl from the bay.. Who studied ejoes, Marjory, Shan s, Brian green, and all the originators.. And no offense congrats on your video.. But your dance just looks so much like toy boxx.. I'm trying to feel your vibe, but it's just a bunch of hops, and spins.. If you YouTube Brian green, and e Joe, or Marjory, you can see what I'm talking about,.

  • :-(...it seems as if your just hopping and jumping around, and not actually in the music, I dunno, I used to dance like this and thought it was house till I met people from sd

  • Nice vid Alex dude, Really up for learning house dancing, and with ur album I'll have some new tracks 2 move 2. Btw lovin the Try Again remixes, the Deep mix is my faverite mix.

  • @fagAshLil1234 glad you like, Ash. how is life? def will have House Dance-able tunes on the upcoming album :) how's ur dance practice comin along?

  • @DJDannyDance hi, sorry 4 the late reply. Lifes gr8 thanks. Hows bout u?. Guess my dance practice aint bad, bit new to dancing really. I don't really know what the moves r. How did u learn?

  • Good job on your video danny, ripping it up! Aussie Luke - SLC

  • @turna23 Luke! my man! where you at these days? see you Saturday at my Going Away, i hope? glad you dig the vid man!

  • i really like this video you made. Great work with the dance moves, the tips and Q &A's. Makes the video more fun, interesting, dynamic and informative. All the best with your roadtrip to Miami. keep doing what you Love doing!

  • @snazzysteveT thanks Steve! glad the format of the vid is well-received, as i'll be keeping it consistent across the upcoming episodes. thx for the roadtrip wishes!

  • Would you consider Glenn Underground? If so what style of house, this beat is tight by the way as always thanks for posting, patience rewards !

  • @AfroRebelSuave Afro, thanks as always for watching :) glad you dig the tune. Glenn Underground, some of his stuff is what I'd consider Smooth House, and other songs are in the Deep House genre. He's a prolific producer (4 pages of tunes on Traxsource!). Are you a big fan of his?

  • @DJDannyDance I have three of his tracks . He's stuff is tight. If I ever start housing, I'll use one of them for my first video If I ever get around to doing so.

  • @AfroRebelSuave you mean WHEN you start Housing ;)

  • @DJDannyDance LOL hopefully when get some college out the way and actually acquire some time to boog, I try moves time to time but however I'm not in full blast just yet hopefully that will be soon!!!

  • Hey Danny :) Love your music and dancing - the most natural and un-goofy I've come across on YouTube...any chance of breaking down some of those moves in future vids along with transitions etc...?

Take care and peace from New Zealand :)

  • @threeblackcrows hellor friend, how is New Zealand these days? i'd love to get out there sometime, looks like a beautiful country! I will definitely be breaking down those moves in future episodes, different ones as we go along on this adventure! any particular question you have for me to answer on the video?

  • Hey people do someone know where I could download house music!?

I tried on Limewire but I couldn't find the type of house music I wanted

    THX <3

  • @stabjam Hey bro, most of the best House music can be found on online music stores like Traxsource, Beatport, and Juno. Programs like Limewire are going to be hit-or-miss, especially because most House Music is made by DJs for other DJs to play in clubs, rather than for the radio. Because of that (and I wish it were different!), the best stuff is usually in DJ music stores like the ones I mentioned. Good luck :)

  • @DJDannyDance Thx =)

  • @stabjam ur welcome :)

  • Nice man!

    Really nice :)

  • @andretbms thanks man :)

  • Lol we gotta do some more house nights man. Teach the people! haha Respect Danny!

  • @sodapop8 man hopefully before i move. i'm leaving in less than 2 weeks :(

  • Waited for this. Thanks, Danny

  • @mstacanov my pleasure bro! hope you find it helpful

  • omg man why didnt you tell me you had a youtube channel i love this video i think i will do this everywhere i go today, gas station, cvs, comunity college, everywhere!

  • @imRegiBitch haha, that's right, bro! that's something i'll mention in the next episode--what 'dancing everywhere' does for your ability to dance. seriously, even when i go grocery shopping, i stop in the frozen foods aisle to get a little House in. do you want to submit that as a question officially?

  • @DJDannyDance yeah definatly

  • @DJDannyDance hell yeah man!

  • @imRegiBitch cool, will do!
