@mathcookies please do explain what Socialism really means then. Instead of just saying"u have no idea what Socialism means" u have to explain what u think it means.
1/19/10: During Scott Brown's victory speech in Massachusetts, the crowd chanted "Forty-one, forty-one," in reference to the Obama administration's agenda to stop the 41st vote in the Senate and "Seat him now, seat him now," warning national Democrats not to try to play politics with the timing on Brown's swearing in...
"One thing is clear, voters do not want the trillion-dollar health care bill that is being forced on the American people," Brown said. "This bill is not being debated openly and fairly. It will raise taxes, hurt Medicare, destroy jobs, and run our nation deeper into debt. It is not in the interest of our state or country -- we can do better."
Socialism=Any of various economic or political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods. Iv'e proved my point. I think you have no idea what socialism means.
No. Iv'e proved to know how to show you an accurate definition of what socialism is, and it is exactly what they want to do. And yes that is the whole definition.

So what's the GOP solution to health care? Oh yeah, that's right, there is none. Suckers, you just got played by this conman. I guess the rhetoric went a long way.
Conservatives have had a bill throughout which libs dismissed, and it starts with addressing billions of $ cost per year by abuse in medical malpractice lawsuits, and it goes on w/ pragmatic solutions, not straight socialism...
SO .... you would go for it, when you dont know what its going to cost, and what it would cover ? just push it thru . with all the Closed-Door Deal to the labor unions? Hmmm, maybe I'm losing my mind or imagining things, but didn't "Barry" Obama make promise after promise during his campaign about transparency and airing the debates and discussions on crucial issues on C-SPAN?
Here is a partial list of health care reforms proposed by Republicans:
Empowering Patients First Act introduced July 30, 2009, Improving Health Care for All Americans Act July 14, 2009,Medical Rights & Reform Act introduced June 16, 2009, Help Efficient, Accessible, Low-cost, Timely Healthcare (HEALTH) Act June 6, 2009 ,Small Business Health Fairness Act of 2009 , May 21, 2009,
Promoting Health and Preventing Chronic Disease through Prevention and Wellness Programs for Employees, Communities, and Individuals Act of 2009 July 31, 2009, Improved Employee Access to Health Insurance Act of 2009 introduced October 15, 2009,
Health Insurance Access for Young Workers and College Students Act of 2009 October 21, 2009

Actually, the Republicans did nothing the whole time they were in the majority (how bout that Reagan/Bush/GWB health plan?). These distraction plans they put forward in '09 are weak and devoid of substance. If anything, Obama's plan is to much of a giveaway to insurance companies. Republicans oppose things like extended unemployment insurance for laid off workers, and (like Brown) support more tax breaks for the rich. We already had one GWBush, we don't need more failed policies.
The Democrats had a majority in Congress during the last Presidential term. Dont you liberals ever READ anything? Although, I suspect if you did know that, you still swear they had no part in it.
...and we all mostly had jobs back the so we didnt need extendd unemployment and government healthcare.
You are right about us not needing more failed policies....time to show all those Democratic Senators (and some of the republican ones too) the door.
I agree

You've proved to know how to copy and paste the first 3 lines of a much longer definition, but probably you didn't understand its meaning.
That definition is nowhere near to what the democrats want to do.

Damn, you must be a speed reader and a policy analyst!
