i want to play this again ;( the good old days when u could camp in front of a door with a shot gun and own, u could glithch xD,go invisable with snake and sokalove, it takes two headshots with ocelot, and snake had a differant type of octocamo and stealth and more health depending on the amount of players, the host could kick who he pleased,and u had much more fun on this i sooooo miss it

God I miss this, remember when the recoil was so real, and the headshots were timed with FPV? MGO1 is way better than COD any day, and I pray that they bring this game back.

I like how this game is much better than MGO. The Auto aiming doesn't hold your hand, the weapons have recoil and none of the rediculous bull crap. Why they shut this down is beyond me.

I think the original MGO was a blast to play. The new MGO is nice but It's hard to just jump in and play like the original MGO. You got to build up stats and lvl stuff. In the 1st MGO everyone just got in and played...

But then, there's the trivialities of the former. And, from now on, this is only my opinion, not somebody else's.

1) The "having to shoot accurately from 1st person view" was good...in the single player game. I just don't see that being effective in multiplayer games. The over-the-shoulder, free view of MGO2 allows more effectiveness when taking down targets imho.

2) Getting knocked down by a roll there meant death. Total turnoff for me.

I wish I had more space...not going to double post. :(

the new MGO is better. listen real MGS players get the game for the story not the online. did u just get MGS4 cause your friends over psn have it? anyway the second MGO is way better cause you don't have to go into FPS mode to get a headshot or use auto-lock like a noob. better graphics, community, just basically better.

sorry to get you all ansy but I spent the night out at a swampy Wal-Mart to make sure I know what happens to our deteriorating Snake and to see just why there was a portrait of Big Boss's corpse on one of the conceptual MGS4 paintings. My point; I LOVE MGS (since '98) so don't mistaken me for any noob that just buys MGS4 bc of his online buddies. In fact I joined late into MGO due to the fact that I've NEVER played ANY online game before MGO; now I'm absolutely hooked so I just wanted to know.

Well I was talking about Metal Gear Online 1, which came packed with the MGS: Subsistence pack. I love MGS3 (original or Subsistence version), though. Thanks, man.

Anyway, you can play this ONLY on the second disc of the Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence pack. BUT, sadly Konami doesn't support this older Metal Gear Online anymore. You can play Metal Gear Online (the newer one) if you have Metal Gear Solid 4, however (which many argue isn't is good as this original Metal Gear Online).
