Photoshop????? CGI????? Impossible?????? Are you people idiots? It's timelapse photography people!!!!!
For Chrissakes get your fucking heads out of your technology for 15 minutes and go outside and look at the night sky!!! As for the stars not moving....FUCK!!! The Earth rotates on its axis...takes 23 hours and 56 minutes...it's called a DAY!
of coarse those were airplanes, if they were shooting stars you wouldn't even be able to see them, this is a timelaps dummy!!! Anyways great work man, sorry i was responding for you, since there's a bunch of amateurs asking questions, it looks sick!
love it, but why are some stars not moving? is that andromeda. Sky blue star stays in the same place the whole video, oh wait it something on the lens
theres a camera effect that occurs when you try to film stars in timelapse, some of them get burned in and dont appear to move, and the whole mass of stars looks kind of random. This is just a camera effect, all the stars are moving across the sky in the same direction at the same speed.
impossible, nothing burns in. The picture will be built up each second few times. If they burn in you would have the same positions at the next film.its a light sensitiv chip, not a lcd matrix.
Well now, I bow to your superior knowledge of the camera, but then what is your explanation? Maybe I just don't understand. I think we agree that it is the camera that is causing the effect, because the stars do move at the same speed/direction. I am actually very curious about this myself, and my answer had been told to me by someone I asked, so it could be wrong. If possible, could you describe why some move and some don't. Thanks.
Oh, I would also direct you to search for "Northern Lights July/11/2007" by this same user, who makes some of the best videos on Youtube in my opinion. In that video, the phenomenon of some stars remaining stationary is very clear.
This is an extraordinary video, really one of the best I've seen. Many congratulations. Could you tell me how you made this, using what software and format for uploading. Thanks
Wow. Such a cool timelapse that my jaw dropped and I can't find it anymore! The night part was dreamesque. Too bad that it was not long enough. I wanted to see more of it. Very well done anyway. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! This is really amazing!
I'm just getting into making time-lapse videos and I must say that this video is really really awesome!

spongah 2 years ago
I'd venture one of two guesses: photoshopping the same image (using masks) or auto-metering, then photoshopping (using masks)
Could be wrong though.

This is a lot of fun. I am quite impressed, even though it is not strictly in tune with my YouTube videos, I am an engineer in animation also.
Very good work and I enjoyed this. Simple and pleasant colouring.
