I'm just getting into making time-lapse videos and I must say that this video is really really awesome!

But what about those stars in the sky and on the ground?

  • That is very cool.

  • BTW....Yes it is a beautiful video!

  • Photoshop????? CGI????? Impossible?????? Are you people idiots? It's timelapse photography people!!!!!

For Chrissakes get your fucking heads out of your technology for 15 minutes and go outside and look at the night sky!!! As for the stars not moving....FUCK!!! The Earth rotates on its axis...takes 23 hours and 56 minutes...it's called a DAY!

  • breathtaking

  • This is the coolest video I've seen on YT! Beyond amazing!! :)

  • Amazing is an understatement! Wow!!!

  • This is amazing I agree.

  • What's with the stars which don't move?

  • really, i dont see how thats possible

  • OMG - first I thought this is Flight Simulator. But this looks really really AWESOME!!!

  • Where is this place?how far north?

  • I'm speechless. Very wonderful.

  • wow how did you keep the sky and the ground exposed correctly?!

  • I'd venture one of two guesses: photoshopping the same image (using masks) or auto-metering, then photoshopping (using masks)

    Could be wrong though.

  • Extremely well done. I Love the cloud detail as the moon sets!

  • sik!!!

  • wow

  • The parallax of the stars is awesome.

  • And is that the recession of Venus?

  • This is a lot of fun. I am quite impressed, even though it is not strictly in tune with my YouTube videos, I am an engineer in animation also.

Very good work and I enjoyed this. Simple and pleasant colouring.

    :)

  • amazing

  • before i read 'air traffic' in the title i thought there was a meteor shower rofl

  • where is that place?

  • of coarse those were airplanes, if they were shooting stars you wouldn't even be able to see them, this is a timelaps dummy!!! Anyways great work man, sorry i was responding for you, since there's a bunch of amateurs asking questions, it looks sick!

  • Where was this shot?

  • wow! keep em coming please.

  • OK Guys, this is really... CRAZY! WOW!

  • beautiful!

  • this is perfect. A+ very hard to top :)

  • Now this is amazing! Where did you make this movie?

  • you rock!

  • THAT'S THE MOON!? O____.

  • GREAT !

Watch my videos from Israel. THANKS !

  • love it, but why are some stars not moving? is that andromeda. Sky blue star stays in the same place the whole video, oh wait it something on the lens

  • theres a camera effect that occurs when you try to film stars in timelapse, some of them get burned in and dont appear to move, and the whole mass of stars looks kind of random. This is just a camera effect, all the stars are moving across the sky in the same direction at the same speed.

  • impossible, nothing burns in. The picture will be built up each second few times. If they burn in you would have the same positions at the next film.its a light sensitiv chip, not a lcd matrix.

  • Well now, I bow to your superior knowledge of the camera, but then what is your explanation? Maybe I just don't understand. I think we agree that it is the camera that is causing the effect, because the stars do move at the same speed/direction. I am actually very curious about this myself, and my answer had been told to me by someone I asked, so it could be wrong. If possible, could you describe why some move and some don't. Thanks.

  • Oh, I would also direct you to search for "Northern Lights July/11/2007" by this same user, who makes some of the best videos on Youtube in my opinion. In that video, the phenomenon of some stars remaining stationary is very clear.

  • I checked the frame at 1:03. Even on the level of the snow are those dots which will be unclear when the shadow of the trees moving around.

I dont know what it is.

  • really amazing, thanks for sharing

in my city, Hong Kong, can seldom see the blue sky

  • Excellent work! What was the camera/settings used?

  • Oh yes, amazing! Thanks. Im so nostalgic and daydreaming now...

  • Absolutely stunning! Your videos always amazed me how wonderful nature is. :)

  • Wonderful!!!

  • Wonderful...i like it very much...

  • Amazing, absolutely amazing

  • isnt this a sunset????????

  • The best one yet, incredible. Thank you .
