  • Bowling I don't think should be called a sport

  • a 300game cannot be sanctioned on one lane, it is a btba rule, it should not count!

  • @MrSnoweybird ...nobody has said it was sanctioned. It still counts as a score for this competition though, just not recognised as official for awards.

  • Nice music video

  • I love the bowling scene over seas... such a shame people don't get excited in the states like they used to.

  • bowling is such a crazy fun sport......i love it :D

  • anyone know what ball he is jusing

  • @KrapsiBoy hes own :D

  • @kszaq13 its name

  • @KrapsiBoy the nvd

  • To bad the Weber Club will change to TJ Club mahahhaz

  • wow a 300 with 2 ok shots. the rest were perfect!

  • Yeah, it does look like he hit someone. I think it's one of those illusions where it looks like he did, when he really didn't. Probably a guy at the ball return, getting ready for his next throw...picking up his bowling ball for his next throw should i say.

  • It looks like Pete hit someone at 2:45.

  • Mika's lost a lot of hair in 3 years =P

  • I wish we have one Toni in EU :)

This guy is a terminator. Very cooool!

Go Tony, I wish you never stop plying like this.

  • wow, they all seem so angry when he threw the 300, including himself

  • @carlorowan hahaha good someone noticed :D

  • how many rpms he hittin?

  • @lilwizz200 he bowls with around 425-475

  • @lilwizz200 sorry nvm, actually more. from around 450 to 525 rpm. just watched his 300 game in 2009 and thats where he was hitting was right around 500

  • Tommy Jones has one of the best forms i've ever seen.

  • I had his wife as my teacher in 4th grade, the same year they had their daughter I think. I think that she is doing the science lab at Fountain Inn Elementary. He is still the 14th coolest guy I have met.

  • Easy game

  • @rthing its easy when you watch players bowl great but its a harder game doing it yourself.... not insulting you or anything, just saying its easier seen then done!

  • @Deadganon lol i know mate, I was trying to make my self good thats all. I cant even reach 180 yet let alone 300.

  • Who knew that skin heads were good bowlers?

  • Tommys Head Is More Polished Than The Gear He Is Throwing.....>.>

  • And thats why you use Ebonite...

  • @WickedResistance mika koivuniemie or however the hell you spell his last name.

  • tommy jones is a beast!

  • A-some vid and tommy jones is a great bowler

  • why did that guy in the blue trow with 2 hands ? lol !

  • @stepxunit Thats a way to curve or " hook " the ball.......

  • tommy jones+locked in= UNSTOPPABLE

  • how do i increase my revolution rate? any tips?

  • How do I increase my revolution rate?

  • i try to throw like him but the rotation and the axis of rotation of the ball is so difficult to do like him. any tips for me?

  • @tainle unless you have the same body type as him it would be better to find the style of throw that fits you because different body types are going to allow or limit they way you can throw the ball and be the most effective.

  • tommy is the man

  • What ball is that?

  • @MBfilmproductions ebonite NVD

  • TJ is the best and bye the way I love the song

  • @tibbetts2525 omg you're from winnebago im from harlem XD

  • @plurple76 cool dude. maybe i'll see you next season :)

  • @tibbetts2525 maybe lol

  • Not started. My Bad

  • what is the name of this song?

  • 'Steel Rail' by James Low from an Album 'Blackheart' which is Country & Folk.

This was from the YouTube list because Sony removed the original track.

  • 288 is a possible, however, very unlikely score to get. The only way to do this is (preseding ten strikes), is to end the last two coloums of the tenth frame with 8+2 points. (No other combination is possible.)

  • @Mickker07 stupid, there is another combination. spare in the first frame, the next ten strikes, and an 8 on the last ball

  • i misted the spare

  • Actually this score is quite common. You get a spare in the first frame and an 8 in the last throw of the tenth frame.

  • I' ve been bowling for 5 years my highest game is 300 five times. But it's not most important point in bowling.. Btw I met T.J in Bangkok on WMC ..

  • What is the name of the song and by which artist?

  • @jerryjw 'Steel Rail' by James Low.

  • thats so cool

  • ebonite nvd

  • yeah .. some mistake but da ball still goes to da pocket .. da lane has a wide area of strikes.. =)

  • what ball is that?

  • That curve is so crazy. o.o

  • song?

  • @carlorowan 'Steel Rail' by James Low.

  • he's got insane hook with lots of power

  • my best is 169

  • hm easy pattern lol, he had a big marge

  • Those are some of the most sawed off strikes you'll see in one game.

  • Pretty kick ass video! I've shot 300 on both one and two lanes...makes no difference. You still have to make the shots and adjustments when they count.

  • Comment removed

  • nice balls

  • I don't care if it's on 1 lane or 10 lanes, it's impressive to bowl ANY THREE HUNDRED. I've had one in my life, and you need lots of luck (corners carrying and no solid 8's or 9's) and a good shot.

I give anyone props who gets one. Congrats!!

  • you say its easier on one lane, for the weber cup, admittedly they give them easy conditions so that theres higher scores televised, but under all the camera lights, the lane drys out a lot quicker, (note that in his 300 game in I think the 2007 weber cup, Tommy has to change his line during the game)

  • whats so bad about it being 1 lane... i dont bowl btw

  • that would be so boring it would be cooler if he didnt do the same shot every time

  • english please

  • I don't think it is that special because he is only on one lane!!!

  • You do it and then post it on here

  • Im not saying that its not special. But its not as hard on one lane like it is on two. And i have bowled a 288 on one lane. and a 279 on two lanes.

  • This was live on tv with all the movement of cameras and only a few feet away from the audience. Got to give him some credit....

  • its not the same strike, look at the pins theyre positioned differently each time (Y)

  • Yeah, 2009 Weber Cup, and TJ rolls another 300. 3 years running, impressive stuff.

  • i want to get an avalanche next they made this new one that has real good hittin power

  • its good, but what I noticed, is that even with TJ's revs, his ball still bounces off the pins, it does not really drive through.

  • LETS GO!!!....LETS GO!

  • why don t you do that ? put a video online, when you threw 300

  • i think its only 1 strike and playing it over and over looks sane to me

  • I would not insult all you genuine bowling fans by repeating the same strike....but you do have a point., the ball goes into the pocket virtually the same way every time.

  • i think that is the point....he got a 300 b/c all of his shots were almost the same exact shot.

  • ROLF

  • @winz22691 No they weren't. His shot on the lanes varied by about five or six boards. The lanes were just a gut of oil holding it in the pocket. They used to call it blocked lanes. Anybody can shoot 300 on that kind of competition which I think was the point of this show. I once threw 17 strikes in a row on those kind of lanes.

  • hi!

  • he only barley hit his mark at 1:16

  • holy shit

  • all of those were so flush...damn

  • Yeah, he cranks around that ball upon his release as well....it's a wonder he has a wrist left!

  • pause at :59...did that guy die?

  • is that a Tornado hes throwing ?

  • He's using the NVD.

  • Comment removed

  • At 0:02, his look explains it all, lol. He is like "are you kidding me"? Lol. He is a really great player I must admit, though.

  • Home runs are easier to come by, golf balls fly farther than ever, and yes bowling is easier. Sports change, players change, equipment changes but the joy of it all is competition. You still have to beat your opponent on the condition you are on at any given time. Easier or harder conditions?? If you want it easy bowl a house shot. If you want challenge join a sport league. Rather than argue over why the sport is too easy now just man up and beat your opponent. That's all that matters.

  • I like your style.

  • Thanks, I just get sick of hearing the same usless arguments about changes in the game that can't be undone. Move on and enjoy the competition. Ps good taste in music on your favs, I have that Version of Gravity in my list too. She was feeling it that day for sure.

  • it might not be so great on house shot but its still pretty hard to do and something that people should always deserve credit for, honestly i dont see the difference between doin it on sport or house shot you have to be consistent on both or you end up havin to get really lucky. yea there might be a little more room for luck on house shot but you cant honestly say its that easy or else youd do it every other game right?

  • Back in the 1960's, when someone rolled a 300, the USBC sent out teams to check the lanes and make sure they hadn't treated. a 300 game made a person a local celebrity. Now you get a 300 practically every league night. Reactive Resin balls, incredibly easy oil patterns, synthetic lanes and more active pins all make the game easier.

You have to be consistent, but the game is far more forgiving today than it used to be.

  • its still pretty hard in this day and age

  • its hard as heck to bowl the same line every single line for 12 shots i know and then comes the pressure if it is the first time that makes it even harder have made 299 twice once the 8 was left and once the 10 pin stood

  • it is special even if its a house shot. theres still the pressure. a 300 is special anywhere i think

  • A 300 used to be special.

    Reactive Resin balls ruined that.

  • ok so the world changes as well as technology. dont be a crybaby about it just cause bowling is not old school anymore

  • I gotta get me a reactive resin ball then

  • You may as well say the same about synthetic lanes then, Galactus.

All of my 300s have been with reactive resin. But then again, I grew up using the old plastic and urethane balls. I had to upgrade just as the sport upgraded.

  • so consistent... i hope i can be that awesome some day. 3 kids in my league have already bowled 300s... 2 were 15 and 1 16 yr old did it twice. insane!

  • that was the most perfect 300 ive ever seen, every shot practically dead flush in the pocket

  • man every strike he makes, he makes it look like it's nothing. so fluid from his approach to his release. wish I was that good lol

  • GO U.S.A!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is he using an ebonite nvd? just wondering :)

  • looks like it

  • yup sure is... great ball!

  • yeaa its greatt, its my first bowling ball :)

  • Tommy Jones likes pizza puffs.

  • those are awesome

  • Its actually a difficult sport shot. Go on to the kegle website its in their oil patterm library

  • Almost the perfect 300...

    One lucky and one wide...

    Great game!!

  • That's what impressed me too. 10 of the 12 were dead flush perfect, tipped off the same point.

  • 4 small steps and a minimal slide! Yet so much rev and speed on the ball!

u're the god of bowling TJ.

    Salute!

  • also lol... he uses a 5-step... but every approach in bowling is mainly a 4 step... all the 5 step guys just delay the ball from moving in the 1-2 timing steps... watch patrick allen, he uses a 6-step, its fun to watch, and he is very good with it...

    Salute! lol

  • during that 5 steps that he takes, I know what is going through his mind.. ' control, precision and knowledge of the lane, oil patterns and all that's being learnt, right till the very seconds those fingers leave the plugs and a solid follow through'

    that's Tommy.

  • i love how people have to state its on 1 lane i mean who gives a fuck i know why its a little easier but he still managed to knock all the pins down 12 times in a row thats skill so everyone should shut the hell up.

  • 1 lane is easier if ur a normal bowler lol... but u have to remember that 1 lane burns up 2x as fast as 2... and with the rev-rates of tommy Jones, and all of the other high reving Euro and USA bowlers all bowling the finals on that same lane, I am sure that it broke down quite a bit during the course of even just that 1 game... Professional bowlers know the move they need to make be4 the shot, and they make it look like it was the same shot 12x in a row...

  • completely agree. these people that post critical comments all need to shut up. everybodys a pro on youtube. "i did this i did that blah blah blah....." until you wannabe's start putting up scores in the sports highest platforms, dont knock the ones that do! so what if it was one lane. im sure it wasnt a rinkydink houseshot. and crowface is right, itll burn up twice as fast. 300s are hard enough on a house shot in league, but to do it here with the world watching....impressive.

  • As much as I respect pro bowlers and this guy, even growing up and as a late teenager and into my early 20's, a 300 game on ONE lane was bunk.

  • Got to give Mr Jones a little bit of credit . Although it was on 1 lane the tv cameras were showing this live, with all the crowd close up alongside. Could you do this?

  • LOL, I never said I could do it (although I have rolled a 300 in league, and countless 11 strike games). He's a pro, and he's able ot do it, more power to him.

  • The entire event is played on the one lane. To my knowledge, it has always been like that, as that's how much space they have in the studio. If they had space for 2 lanes, I'm sure they would have built another lane.

  • Got away with the shot in the 9th frame.

  • Excellent video. just wish the music hadn't changed. i prefer the bowling sounds, commentary, etc. and i liked the original music better. still great to watch.

  • Yup, YouTube got rid of the original. Now it's made the video a bit jerky.....!!!!

  • If U ask me, they ruined your work...as best they could. still thanx a lot for posting it.

  • Also got pop up ads and iTune popups...not my doing, honest.

  • No bowler like Tommy out there... Respect!

  • Tommy Jones looks like Kane

  • I love how pumped up they get lol.

  • He's the best bowler in the world.... a little lucky at shot number9, cause he's hit-em a little to mutch to the left. But i love him <3 he's the best bowler in the world!

  • next to me, i averaged 196 this year in league, tommy only averages like 230

  • yea but hes not on a house shot lik u r

  • why go tumbs down on this its just a joke

  • he's so solid...it looks perfect everytime...that's a true percfect game...no lucky shots, just skilL!!!

  • lil luck on the last one got it a lil far out still killed the rack though

  • Tommy is a BEAST!

  • I Would Have Like To See How many He Could Have Kept Gettin Congrats Tommy....

  • This guy owns the very sport of bowling! Gratz tommy, hope you roll 300's for life!

  • that's probably true, i didn't think of that

  • TOMMY JONES IS THE KING OF BOWLING!

  • so hot. holy crap. yeah!

best set of 12 strikes i can remember seeing. really, only 2 of them looked different from all the others.

AND FINALLY, a compilation video of bowling on here with a good choice of accompanying music. lol

  • what is the first song? ...by the way this is so awesome

  • Don't know what the tune at the beginning is called. Anyone else heard it before...?

  • That ball he used was the NVD dank ass ball i just got it

  • yeah! thats what i thought he was usin. i got one of those too.

  • i roll an NVD, and its the best ball in my bag. Ebonite Rocks!!!!

  • whaT'S THE song at the end :)?

  • The song is "Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)"

    Singing is Kenny Rogers.

  • thank you very much :)

  • The Lad holding up the sign is from my ybc n he got a free ball off pete webber the lucky git :@

  • 2nd time lol

  • 10/12 perfect,

    that's just perfection :D

  • Whos that fat idiot who punish him rofl

  • thats tim mack...

he doesnt punish him, tim is a bit excentric look him up he always gets really fired up ;)

  • god damn he is just to damn good...had a 300 last year in the weber cup and now another?

when you bowl like tommy you are just amazing...all perfect shots...keep going tommy

  • what is this a HOUSE SHOT.. 1 lane. Nonedaless good game man.

  • holy crap.... tommy jones.........

i don't understand it. he puts so many revs on that ball.

i swear, look at his form, it's even godlike in appearance, the way he brings his arm back giving the impression of some kind of bird of prey or something. but i can't figure it out. his wrist is beyond straight when it comes forward--it's bent BACKWARD a little bit. he also seems to move his arm from inside the ball (at its peak) to outside the ball (at the release). whatever it is, it's crazy.

  • gotta love 2:59 :P
