@vincient66 I agree, I dislike a lot of today's shows. I miss watching Watership Down, Redwall and the others on TV. I'm 20 and I love finding these dvd's and watching them, it gives me a sense of nostalgia. Thanks for your comment.
@rootay No it didn't. Season 3 saw the animation change badly and only 3 of the original voice cast stayed on. The plot went all over the place, Hazel got all the other creatures on the down to help them in the final battle, there was little bloodshed and I think again it ended not knowing if Woundwort was really dead or not.
The series isnt much like the movie, and completely ventures fro mbook limitations to make a completely different story, but dont let that discourage you from watching it. If you let yourself immerse to the story, you can find it truly is a great show. Its certainly better than most kids TV shows now adays.
I recommend starting from the escape to watership down portion of season 1, then skip to season 2 from there. Season 1 doesn't have a lot going on, but 2 picks up on the plot and characters.
As for blood and violence, they took a step down due to being a kids show. Im not to keen on it either, but it isnt bad, and there isnt much they could do about it anyway. They went a darker turn in story i nthe third season, and the United Kingdom didnt even allow it to be aired.
6. Dont know what youre talking about. Holly appears in the next episode. There are only a couple missing, and a lot of characters are added.
7. I like both Wounwarts. Both have their unique traits.
The show isn't as good as the movie and usually when you watch a TV series adapted from a book you play 'spot the difference' and with the TV series Watership Down you play 'spot the similarity', but apart from that, it's awsome!
I wish it was....the first time I saw the movie as a little girl I thought I was so special beacuse I was seeing a "scary-looking children's cartoon movie" espically during the death scenes. lol
Pipkin has a kids voice in the series, And both Hazel and Fiver have the darkened patch that Blackberry had from the movie. But it is still enjoyable.

This series is an abomination! Fine, they wanted to make a little kiddie show? Then they should have changed all the names so that it bore no relation to the book/film. Cause other than that IT DOES BARE NO RELATION TO THE BOOK/FILM!!! They look like Bugs Freakin' Bunny for Christ's sake! In the film, other than being sentient and speaking, they were real rabbits. Here some wear freakin' clothes! Bleech!!
Well it was aimed at younger audiences, but when I watch it, I just don't care about who's it targeted for. The animation and art changed for series 3, most fans will agree with me that series 3 was darker and more serous than series 1 and 2. Also you can't complain that it looks cartoonish, if they did it in the style of the film, it would take way too long to make the series.
I saw this cartoon when I was 9 years old and I liked it! I saw the movie and I think the two of them are good, but, the movie is better.they made this cartoon for the children because the movie had some violent scenes...they aren't that violent but still.
BigWig does not have huge bits of hair around his neck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(and i have watched those episode thingys through, they're basically enhancing every prek in the story!)
...what did they DO to this movie??!? The movie was awesome, violent, gory, and COOL! This is all cutesy, happy, and just... Ugh! It sickens me as to what they've done to the classic movie, and turned it into some horrible Disney-esque TV show!!
well I guess he doesnt sound terrible...just he tried to sound too much like the real one.

Yeah. I actually started reading The Sight like maybe a week ago! :D It's really good so far, I'm about half way. Oh and actually Fell is just the sequel to The Sight, they are not two different stories.
Theyre all good. The book is the best I think. the movie is great and has wonderful music score, but its to focused on the dark in it. the series is great when it comes to kids. It also gives a more creative look on it. But they have taken away a couple of things. For instance:In the book and movie Blackavar is badly scarred and got shred ripped ears, but in the series he is not harmed at all. And for some bloody reason they have taken away Hyzenthlay and replaced her with Primrose.
omg thank you!!i was looking for this everywhere!!but they all had the old version, i love the new one^_^THANKS SO MUCH!!do u know where i can download the new episodes from?
the music from the film wasn't really all that good now was it. Also what's wrong with the rabbit design? Makes the characters easier to tell apart also it's a child's show. Besides the overall plot makes up for it all. Never compare the series to the film. It's just not right.
Meh different people like different things. I just preferred the music from the series. Possibly because I saw the series before I saw the film. Lol let's not get caught up in an argument over a child's cartoon. :P All three good: book, film ,series in their own ways just let the kids decide about the series after all that's who it's for.

1.Its a stray from the book, but a change isnt necessarily bad. So the series wouldnt be maleonly, Blackberry was made female.
2.I don't like Kehaar in this series much. The one in the book and movie had much more character and memorable behavior.
3.The series is basing off the book, not movie. Theres no real incorrection on not choosing his movie colors.
4.They made Pipkin childish and spirited. A little over the top, though.
