  • Why couldn't God get the any holy texts right the first time?

  • There are many on here seeking answers to questions they have...please, go to

lds dot org ....and you will find most but not all, of your answers

  • So Joesph Smith found ancient writings intended for the Biblical story and translated them in to a book for people to read? I always thought God visited him or something like the Burning bush with Mosses. So the Book of Mormon is About Jesus Actually being here in America is this during the part of his life that did not make the Canon Bible? I found Claims of Christ visiting all around the World Hindus Buddhist even the Druids of Ancient Brittan

  • Why are there so many changes have been made in the Book of Mormon, ever since 1830? I'll be grateful if any Mormons can give me an answer.

  • @ulula97 There has been punctuation edits and chapters and verses have been added. The original manuscript was purely text with not punctuation. Spelling errors were corrected as well. If you know about how printing presses worked in 1830 you can imagine how errors would occur in that process that would have been corrected later. The footnotes are also not a part of the original 1830 version - the footnotes help to cross link doctrines to the Bible and within the Book of Mormon. Does that help?

  • I'm athiest.

  • If the message of the book of mormon was so important, why did God wait for 2.6 millenia to share it? Why were so many generations denied the benefit of the book of mormon's wisdom? While conducting a retrospective editing job (thru Moroni), why did God not take the opportunity to correct the many inconsistencies elsewhere in the bible?

  • @elgar104 The Book of Mormon is really contemporary to the Bible written about 600BC to 400AD. It was not meant to correct the Bible. I don't think the Bible (as we know it) even existed during Moroni's life. Who knows why God chose to wait? Isaiah 55: 8-9

  • @elgar104 God gives man his free agency. God prepared the Book of Mormon because He knew that Christ would be rejected and that Christ's Apostles would be killed after Christ was. God knew that Christ's church was going to fall with the death of the Apostles and split into all the churches you see today. He knew all of that and so he had the book of mormon written anciently to use as an instrument to restore his church when his children were ready.

  • @elgar104 (continued) God knew that everyone in the last days would interpret the Bible differently. Of course He would have loved for everyone to accept Christ's Church and His Apostles instead of rejecting His church and killing His Apostles but since the beginning God has given man his agency. He doesn't force anyone to do anything. He gives them commandments and its our choice whether to follow them or not. The Book of Mormon was prepared for the last days to restore truths that were lost.

  • @elgar104 (continued #2) He had it prepared to restore truths that were lost because of the death of Christ's Apostles, the falling and splitting of Christ's true church(this happened because without the Apostles there was no one to receive revelation for the WHOLE church) With the Book of Mormon and the call for Joseph Smith to be a prophet Christ's church was restored with 12 Apostles at the foundation.

  • @elgar104 (continued #3)

I understand why anyone would be critical of all of this. I would be, but I have prayed and asked God if the Book of Mormon is true. I asked Him if Joseph Smith was a true prophet and if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His true church upon the earth. I didn't get an answer right away but one day as I heard a mormon teenager bare his testimony that HE knew that those things were true, I felt the Holy Spirit confirm to me that they are. I know they are.

  • @elgar104 I invite you and anyone else to meet with LDS(mormon) Missionaries. They can answer questions like this for you. They will help you understand why this all happened and you to can pray to know if what they share is true. God can't lie, you can pray to him and ask Him if it is true.

  • @elgar104 Faith. The answer to your posts is faith. If you believe the Bible is the word of God then you must have faith- there's a lot more criticism out there about the Bible than there is the BoM. I understand that the Bible has been much more widely published, subjecting it to more criticism. I'm just pointing out that there is by no means a universal consensus on the authenticity of the Bible. Read Proverbs 2:5-7. Isaiah 55:8,9. And finally 2 Nephi 9:28-29. It's about faith- not logic.

  • Why is there no genetic evidence within the indigenous people of america of hebrew ancestry? And if (despite all evidence to the contrary) such an ancestry were true, what purpose would be served by God to hide this heritage for over 2.6 millenia?

  • If America was populated by ancestors from Israel (Lehi), then why is there no evidence within Indian culture of a Hebrew tradition? After all, the hebrew tradition has been preserved by Jews for much longer elsewhere under much more trying circumstances....

  • The Book Of Mormon contains the "Fullness of the Gospel" So, the Bible has many Plain and Precious Truths removed from it over many years. The BOM restored these missing Truths. Question: What are these missing Plain and precious Truths removed from the Bible, and were are they restored in the gospel? This would mean that the Fullness of the gospel has been restored via the BOM?

  • I'm atheist

  • @cuddlebunny297 Do you Believe in The Creation of this Earth?

  • Three questions that I must be answered to connect the dots and find out if the BOM really is telling the truth.

    1. Who created the one that bore these spirit children, in the first place?

    2. The Creator of everything out of nothing through his word, Yahuwshua [Jesus] - translated ="Yahweh (="He causes/will cause to be existed") is deliverance" (John. 1:1-14) - why is he not spirit and omnipresent as the Bible teaches?

    3. Why aren't these names (above) in any of the Mormon's books?

  • @chanses2 The Book of Mormon is translated into English. The English translation of the name Yahuwshua or Yahweh is in the Book of Mormon, it is rendered as: Jesus Christ. Obviously the people did not speak English, remember the Book of Mormon is a translation of ancient words, just like the Bible is. Just as with the Bible, the way to discover the truth of the Book of Mormon is to read it and then sincerely ask God regarding its truthfulness. Pray to God and you'll hear His answer. I have.

  • Check this out: LDS Ensign Magazine, July 1993 pg 61(talk by Russel M. Nelson) The details of this miraculous METHOD OF TRANSLATION ARE STILL NOT FULLY KNOWN. Yet we do have a FEW PRECIOUS INSIGHTS. David Whitmer wrote: "Joseph Smith would put the seer stone into a hat, and put his face in the hat, drawing it closely around his face to exclude the light; and in the darkness the spiritual light would shine.

  • I don't necessarily have an opinion on religion. I call myself a Christian, and love both God and Christ, but I leave it at that. I trust that the Gates of Heaven will open for me for being an honest, hardworking, and overall decent person during my time here on Earth, regardless of what I drink or smoke.

  • Who is Mormon that I should be called after his name? It's not about Joseph, It's about JESUS.

  • The Book Of Mormon is and will always be True!

  • Im thinking of coming mormon but not fully sure talk to some of ya people on phone ad came to my house?

  • The Book Of Mormon is true book!

  • i know its true i pray 4 it!!! do it too

  • Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened.

    -Sir Winston Churchill

  • Anyone can read the Book of Mormon, you do not have to be a member of the church. If you visit Mormon.org you can request missionaries to come and talk about it and they will give you a copy for free. It will change your life.

  • To others who have commented: we do believe in the bible, every word of it, and we also believe in the book of Mormon. They are meant to be together. They are two puzzle pieces to truth that fit perfectly. I challenge all who are reading this to read and study the book of Mormon for a couple weeks at least. Pray about it, you will get an answer if you have faith and are living the teachings found in the book of Mormon.

  • @kortneyboo1 I've only read some of the book of Mormon, but know much more of the Bible, and from what I do know, the two books do not fit close to perfectly. Theologically they differ and the Bible leaves no room for the book of Mormon. I pray for Mormons, and I have love in my heart for you who are, which is why I cannot stay silent on this. It is to your peril that you claim the book of Mormon is equal with the Word of God.

  • @kortneyboo1 I do not believe it is enough to "study" the Book of Mormon. One must truely understand history pertaining to the Bible to fully understand the BoM. Once an understanding of the Bible and how it was created, it can be deduced that the BoM was not in anyway inspired by God. I am certain this comment will not be approved, but to whoever reads this, prayer alone cannot prove something to be factual.

  • @kortneyboo1 I'm glad you believe "every word", but "we" don't: "We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly" - Articles of Faith #8;

  • so what if you are in the flds or rlds and pray about it? are they right? is the utah church right? how do you know you are right? this isn't a matter of faith if they have the same book and get the same feelings as you do when they pray about it...

  • @11Amanda18Sarah10 By their fruits ye shall know them.

  • Audio book? You can download it for free from lds dot org slash audio

  • I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon. I love the Bible, but was always confused as to how I was going to get to Heaven. The Bible doesn't really outline the Plan of Salvation, but when I discovered the Book of Mormon, the missing pieces were filled. I understand the Gospel so much better, and am grateful for Christ's church. I do not know where I'd be without this amazing book, along with the Bible.

  • Elder Holland's words touch my heart. I love the teachings in the Book of Mormon. It brings me peace and helps me to feel loved by Heavenly Father. It strengthens my testimony in Jesus Christ. Elder Holland's words are true as is the Book of Mormon.

  • You can request a free copy of the Book of Mormon from:

    mormon.org/free-book-of-mormon

  • if thou lak faith ask god

  • the book of Mormon like the bible is the word of God there go togeter saying the Jesus is the Christ.

  • Love the book of Mormon

  • of course you can! go to mormon.org and i think you can request one for free too.

  • @lorieu1 yes

  • If Joseph Smith said he talk to God a Jesus, where's the proof? If Mormons gonna say things that would've been proven wrong, like that the Native Americans are from Jerusalem, they need something to back it up! Living in Joseph Smith's time, Anyone could believe anything, that anyone says.

  • @coolio8a8yeah

Even with proof people don't believe. People didn't believe that Jesus was the Son of God when He performed miracles in front of them. If you read the Bible it says you need to have to have faith. The Book of Mormon is one way you can find out if Christ used Joseph Smith to restore His one true church back on the earth. By acting in faith and reading the Book of Mormon you can then ask God to know it is true. If it is true than you know that Christ's Church is back on the earth.

  • @coolio8a8yeah where's the proof that Jesus is the Christ? Where is the proof that he was resurrected? Where is the proof the Adam, Noah, and Abraham were true prophets of God and spoke to God. The knowledge of these things doesn't come from proof, but by spirit speaking to spirit. You know that Jesus is the Christ by the Holy Ghost and not by evidence or proof. If you want to know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God, just like Moses was, you have to pray and ask God; not by wanting proof

  • Mormons are Christians. Hence the name: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

  • i am catholic

  • @MegaOuster, the Book of Mormon is the word of God because God inspired men to write it, just as He inspired men to write the Bible. Also like the Bible, the Book of Mormon contains a record of the ministry of our Savior, Jesus Christ. When I first read the Book of Mormon, there was no doubt in my mind that it was a true book of scripture, but I prayed about it anyway just like it asks. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of the true and living God.

  • I have a question concerning teh gold plates which were given to the Angel Moroni. How old were they when they were discovered by Joseph Smith? From what era did they come?

  • @kingscat3 They were put in the ground around 420 AD. So that made them roughly 1420 years old when Joseph recieved them.

  • @davidkentford Really, were they real Gold or just metal? Why was the Bible written on papyrus & animal skins?

  • @Exodus314IAM You have to remember the Greek translated it from Hebrew and used the materials of that era. In studying the Book o Mormon you see there were the plates of brass. The use of gold was to preserve the records on a metal that wouldn't be damaged by time, in the environment it was to be hid up in.The Bible has never been hid up and was never to be hidden.

  • @cosmicwarrior62 Ere go, since the Bible was never hidden and surely Christ's word that where ever "2 or 3" are gathered in his name so too shall be his church, perfectly demonstrates that the church Christ established never really left the earth and therefore is no need for a "restoration." If it ain't broke or missing don't fix it or add to it?

  • I love learning about different religions! I'm christian.

  • @Pdiminator That is fantastic! I am Christian and Mormon myself.

  • @Pilottim1979 This isn't to pick a fight, but it's impossible to be a Christian AND a Mormon, they have completely different beliefs regarding salvation

  • @mapleleaf100 technically, the definition of a Christian is somebody who believes in and follows Christ. Somebody who emulates Christ in their lives. There are many people who claim to be Christians who don't always live Christ-like lives, and many people who do not have religions at all who are more Christ-like than many Catholics, Methodists, Protestants, Lutherans, Mormons, etc. But as far as Latter Day Saints go in general, I mean, they have Christ's in their official name.

  • @mapleleaf100 Like what?

  • But do theyy go too church?

  • @BabyGsus7 I beleive they go to meetings like other christians go to mass

  • @FallingAwayFromMe25 Catholics "go to mass." Christians "go to church."

  • What makes the Book of Mormons the Word of God??

  • Is the Book of Mormon available on audio book?

  • @1971es335

Yes it is! you can buy it on amazon.com probably.

or from Deseret Book. I'm sure they have an online store as well

  • @1971es335

Yes the book of mormon is on audio book. You can get it from deseretbook . com

  • all those who testify against the book of mormon and its teachings thereof have never read it and prayed if it is true.

  • Thumbs up if you found this while looking for the musical.

  • @SuperDeadlyVirus

God has always worked in mysterious ways. Moses talked to a burning bush? Noah magically loaded sets of every animal in the world onto one boat? A woman turns to salt for looking at a city? I could go on and on. People believe the magical stories of the Bible because it has so much truth. And people believe in the magical story of the Book of Mormon because it has so much truth. Read it, think about it, then ask God in prayer if it is His. (James 1:5 & Moroni 10:4)

  • @prioritiesUSAction some religions arent about the facts, which is exactly what your talking about, but they beleive that before you are told the facts, you need to believe without any evidence. Also, they believe of what the stories say or represent, beyond there literal meanings. Althouhg what you say is true, some people just have to have some evidence.

  • where r the gold plates? just wondering. is it in the book? im just curious about different religions

  • @TicTacToe0124 nope gold plates isn't in earth anymore it is in heaven entertain the missionaries in your area they can help you out a lot about that!I know this church is true 100% :)

  • “The actual translation of the portion we now have as the Book of Mormon did not take place until between April 7 and June 11, 1829. Thereafter the plates were returned to the custody of Moroni. (Jos. Smith 2:27-65).”

  • @TicTacToe0124 They were returned to the Angel Moroni once the translation was finished .

  • Having the testimony of the savior Jesus Christ through the book of Mormon brings enormous peace to my soul.

  • Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

    -John 14:6

  • Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. -Matthew 22:37-39

  • For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 - kjv

  • If Jesus could defy death why did he leave? Wouldn't things have been a lot easier if he just hung around?

  • @davidlittlejohns Jesus christ came here to suffer for our sins. He also came here to set a example, which we follow. In order for jesus to suffer for our sins, he had to well, "suffer" and he was crucified and returned to heaven. Yes, i could see that it could be better for him to stick around, but he set us a example to follow and can send the prophet revelation to help.

  • @davidlittlejohns Yea, i can c y it would be better to have him stick around, but jesus mainly came to set a example for everyone and to suffer for our sins. In order to suffer for our sins he was crucified on the cross. Jesus and God can also send guidance and revelation to our modern prophet Thomas S. Monson to help us.

  • @davidlittlejohns Maybe it would be easier, but would that test our faith?

  • Next to the Bible, this is the truest book I have ever read.

  • That man speaks the truth.

  • Ok, I just recently began researching The Book of Mormon, so please forgive me and my questions-I am most certainly NOT trying to degrade anyone's beliefs, but I feel I must speak my heart. I have a terrible time believing that Joseph Smith "found" the book buried on a hill, and I have searched the Internet for a "reformed Egyptian" language, when most everyone says it never existed. I think it's a little too convenient that he was given the "magic" translator glasses to read the characters.

  • @TimePilot2084 I’ve never thought of reformed Egyptian as being an official language. I believe what is meant by the term is that they spoke/wrote Egyptian that they had altered. Kind of like today, those in England and the US speak English but there is difference and even more recently, old English compared to say language we use online or in text message.

  • @TimePilot2084 Faith is the begginning of all life. Just know the difference between foolishness and wisdom. A foolish man believes everything he is told or keeps a closed mind and a wise man keeps an open mind but only accepts what is true. You don't have to believe in the Book of Mormon and i am just learning about it myself but until i decided if it's true or not i'll have faith and not question it. Surely the answer will come clear

  • Explain to me the authenticity of the Book of Abraham and the truthfulness of Joseph Smith's translation.

  • @ulula97 The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Christ, is a record of a group that came from Jerusalem to the Americas. When they people arrive they split into 2 main factions, one evil one good. Several events happen, mostly focusing on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that lead up to the time that Jesus is born and dies. They see the sign of his birth, and suffer after his death (cities being sunk etc) and then eventually the good people become evil and are wiped out by the original evil group.

  • After reading the introduction, the humble man wants more of the Book of Mormon.

  • so.. what is the difference between a Christian and a Mormon?

  • @magek50 Mormons are a people who believe in Christ, so Mormons technically are Christian. If you have any other questions, mormon.org is a great website with answers :)

  • @magek50 We have the power of God called the priesthood which is the same power that mose had and christ had

  • @magek50 1st of r we r christian but onlike most christian we belive in the book of Mormon as same as we belive in the Bible we also belive in live prophets in all day and we belive that we have the Restoration of the gosepel.

  • @magek50 Christian:adj. of, pertaining to, believing in, or belonging to the religion based on the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Mostly we are the same. But the connotative meaning for Christian is someone who believes in the bible solely, and usually in the holy trinity. Since we believe in the Book of Mormon as WELL as the bible and we also believe that the Holy Ghost, Jesus Christ, and the Father are 3 separate entities, we aren't looked on as true Christians, even though we follow him.

  • @magek50 See, Christian is a General term for those who believe in Christ (thus, the root word for CHRISTian). Christianity teaches that Jesus is the Son of God, God having become human and the saviour of humanity

The Mormon religion is a Christian religion because they believe in Jesus Christ and in His gospel. Roman Catholisism is a Christian religion too because their religion is centered in Christ. Orthodox is also one of them. :)

  • can i read it and without being mormon?

  • @05mustangguy

Of course you can! Go to mormon.org and order a free book or email and ask the missionaries to come to your home with one then they can explain it more to you.

  • @05mustangguy Of course you can. God's word is for everyone. Just like the Bible is read by Christians and Non-Christians. Give it a shot.

  • Anyone can read it at lds.org or request a free copy.

  • @05mustangguy yes you can read the book of mormon without being a mormon. :)

  • @05mustangguy Sure we would love you to .

  • @05mustangguy Of course. You can go to mormondotorg for a free copy.

  • @05mustangguy You may read and study the Book of Mormon and not be a member. It's free for the asking.

  • @05mustangguy of course you can read it.

  • @05mustangguy yes!

  • @05mustangguy yes you can!

  • @05mustangguy yes you can read it w/out being a mormon!

  • @05mustangguy yes!

  • @05mustangguy YES, you can, you will love it!

  • @05mustangguy mormon dot org/free-book-of-mormon/

  • @05mustangguy sure, you can request free copy a mormon(dot)org.

  • @05mustangguy Of course you can. Read it and ask God if it is true, and you will get an answer. God won't lie to you.

  • @05mustangguy scripturesdotldsdotorg. Click on Book of Mormon. There are other languages too.

  • good

  • I know that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God...

  • @abish27 you know it is the true word of God? Why isn't the Quran? What makes the mormon book so special?

  • @T00KAH pray and ask God youself

    :D

  • @T00KAH it contains the fullness of the gospel and deals with christ ministering himself unto the ancient inhabitants of the americas.

  • @T00KAH That God the Father Christ lives. " Christs dealings with those living in the new world. the Savior himself said,"Other sheep I have which are not of this fold, they too I must bring, and they shall hear my voice and there shall be one fold and One Shepard. John10:16" The Book of Mormon 3 Nephi15:21... that ye are they of whom I said: Other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

  • @T00KAH Don't think the quran claims to be Another Witness for the Lord Jesus Christ . That is what people are looking for . It is true I read it weekly .

  • Try reading the book and praying ernestly if it is the true word of God. Only then will you understand why it is so special.

  • @T00KAH What makes the book so special? It's the only religious text that invites--and challenges--the reader to pray about its contents and ask if it is true. Then a promise is given that God will respond. No other book does this.

  • @T00KAH I invite you to read it and find out. :)

  • @T00KAH Does the Quran testify of the Divinity of Christ? The Book of Mormon like the Bible is a testimony of Jesus Christ being the Savior.

  • @T00KAH Why not read it and find out :)

  • @T00KAH The book of Mormon is an additional scripture that documents the lives of a group of people who left Israel and migrated to the Americas. It is the written history and record of these people. It is special because it testifies of Christ, it is special because it was restored by the power of God, it is special because although it was written by these ancient people, it was written for you and I, for our generation, it brings peace and joy to the soul.

  • @T00KAH same thing that makes the Quran special people have faith in it

  • @T00KAH The Quran holds truth as do other sacred texts (Holy Bible, Dead Sea Scrolls). But there are true points that are missing from these texts. The Book of Mormon along with the Doctrine & Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price cover these missing points. Take Hollands advice here and pray about. That's what the rest of the world is doing. There is a reason that the LDS church is one of the fastest growing church's in the world. Pray, If it is true then God will let you know :)

  • @JerryStud1 The dead sea scrolls are just copies and accounts of other books in the bible?

  • @JerryStud1 I know this will not be approved but come on! Don't really need DnC and PoGP to cover the missing points if the Book of Mormon ~"contains the fullness of the gospel"~

  • @spartacussucatraps The Book of Mormon does indeed contain the fullness of the gospel, but that doesn't mean it contains every doctrine or policy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. By "fullness of the gospel," we mean the Book of Mormon contains every basic and fundamental doctrine needed for salvation, such as the Atonement and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

  • @T00KAH u can say that about anything. read and pray about the book of mormon and you will see the truth in it.

  • if you read it you'll see

  • One of my favorite sciptures in the Book of Mormon is 2 Nephi 33:10. 10 And now, my beloved brethren, and also Jew, and all ye ends of the earth, hearken unto these words and believe in Christ; and if ye believe not in these words believe in Christ. And if ye shall believe in Christ ye will believe in these words, for they are the words of Christ, and he hath given them unto me; and they teach all men that they should do good.

  • so im a christian, and i have always wondered what the difference is between me and mormons, i know you guys have a few more books in the bible but what other different things do you bleive?

  • @ajjjevans mormon.org is a great resource if you're wondering what we believe in. That is the website's main purpose.

  • @ajjjevans There are a lot more things we believe in. But on a general note, we believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ and live our lives with His gospel as our guide. If you are interested in having a more in-depth and elaborate detailing, you may ask an LDS Missionary to explain stuff to you. I'm pretty sure they'd make it clearer to you. :)

  • Any questions, see God.

"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."

You know that whole 'ask and ye shall recieve' thing? Mhm, that would apply to any and all of your questions. If you read the Book of Mormon, pray sincerely, and don't get an answer, give it back. And BOOM. Dilemma of the ages, solved:)

  • Read. Ponder. Pray. I know this book tells the truth because of the spiritual light that is turned on in my heart and mind. The "still, small voice" of the Holy Spirit comes alive in the teachings that clarify the most commonly debated Christian doctrines: grace, baptism, resurrection, the body of Christ, the House of Israel and many, many more. This book is life changing, and life-enabling.

  • @jalacus I have been listening to The Book of Mormon Disscussions on BYUTV.org . There are about 50 30 min disscussions . Very helpful .

  • To know the Book of Mormon is true, read the 10th Chapter of Moroni, the last chapter in the book. He asks you to pray and ask the Lord "with full purpose of heart" and ask the Lord if it is true. Ask it in faith in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. If you do with a sincere heart, the Lord will make it known unto you.

  • This book is ture i love it

A very HOLY book it has changed my life 100%

  • This book is ture i love it

  • A Holy Book.

  • I am learning about all religons for a project. Any mormons tell me how being/becoming Mormon has changed your life? What is its point? The only Mormon stuff I learned is the Broadway musical and South Park.

  • @RealKennyMcCormick21 Being a Mormon is about living the gospel of Jesus Christ as it has been revealed through the scriptures (mainly the Holy Bible & Book of Mormon), and modern prophets like Joseph Smith.

The church is a restoration of the same church that Jesus established during his ministry. Everything we do in this church is centered on the teachings of Jesus Christ, and is intended to help us to live like he did.

  • @RealKennyMcCormick21 you can contact me if you like. I'll be glad to give you some info.

  • @RealKennyMcCormick21 south park is inaccurate with mormon stuff not a good source if you are honestly trying to learn about all religions and you are studying the mormons go to lds.org or mormon.org for real info

  • I have no problem with the people of the mormon church. I believe they are true Christians that are a bit misguided by the false prophets they follow. If anyone would be nice as to help me understand how the arguments in this link I would be greatly appreciative. I'm not here to doubt the mormon church... I would like a better understanding.

  • 1:01 it looks like white people dressed like indians living in a aztec city. ? A culture as prolific as the ancient hebrews would have left some kind of evidence of their exsistence in the americans. And which ancient prophet Morman ?

  • The book was not hidden from the rest of the world. It's a record of people who lived here. Because they lived here so long ago, they couldn't communicate with the rest of the world like we can today. Christ himself came and taught them. But they eventually turned their backs on Him so badly and became so wicked that God took this book away from them as punishment. When other people came to settle in America, he gave the book to them. And now we have it.

This book is so powerful and has so man

  • It is TRUE!!! It brings hope and peace to people's lives! Read it study it and see for yourself!

  • It took me 33 years to decide to join the church. Yes there are some unflattering things about the churches history. The whole point of church, however, is to teach people how to live more Christ-like. The LDS church does this exceptionally well. Do not condemn the LDS faith for the shortcomings of it early leaders. No man is perfect...not even a prophet. If you just stop listening to the naysayers long enough to read the Book of Mormon with an open heart, you will gain a testimony of it.

  • I love the Book of Mormon. Its teachings are simple yet so powerful. I learn something new each time I read it and it always speaks right to my heart. Nowhere is there a greater example of the pure love of Christ than in the ministries of such prophets as Alma, Ammon, Mosiah, Helaman, Nephi, Lehi and King Benjamin.

  • i have a hard time believing the book of mormon being true. i spent 14 years of my life in utah and most all my friends were mormon. they tried to explain it to me, but in the end i just cant believe it to be the true word of God. None of the things of the mormon religion make sense to me personally.

  • Reading the Book of Mormon has changed my life. It has the power to change your's too. I am now a better person.

  • The book is true. This is a great example of the power of the Internet which is just now beginning to be tapped for good. This power, when fully realized, will easily dwarf the negative side. Currently, no other medium is capable of quickly spreading truth and freedom to the entire world. Thank you for another great testimony for truth.

  • Possession of an additional testament of Jesus Christ only adds credibility to what the Savior taught. This explains why Mormons are among the most adamant Bible-believing faiths in the Christian world. As a second witness, the Book of Mormon supports and strengthens understanding of Bible truths. The Book of Mormon is itself a fulfillment of Bible prophecy. It certainly deserves investigating, and earnestly praying about.

  • @tyndale25 awesome statement

  • This book really does contain the word of God---or in other words, the message that God wants us to hear. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water... just because some organized religions don't appeal to you, doesn't mean they are all bad. Read it online (see link above) and pray to God about it. What do you have to lose?
