  • anyone have clips with bobby darin on the flip wilson show. he used to be on it quite often.

  • when i was a kid i thought he was John Travolta

  • NICE LEGS!!!! Long live Flip!

  • Joe Nameth! havnt seen that guy in many moons

  • @vicious6667 You still haven't. That comedy skit was taped about 40 years ago.

  • @itsmegp46Im in my mid forties and I remember my parents watching Flip Wilson when i was a kid in the early 70s and I remember Joe Namath making guest appearances on many shows in those days as well as Lynn Swann and him on the box of Wheaties cereal

  • Flip was a comedic genius.

  • Joe has a nice voice.

  • ROTFLOL I remember watching this on TV too! We use to recite that..in the booth, in the back, in the corner, in the dark!!!

  • OMG I am at work with the headphones on and I could hardly keep from crackini up. That was HILLARRRIOUS.. they dont make them like that anymore

  • "You don't know me"

"Honey.. if Killer knew about this"

Oh my gosh.. I remember this skit..

"In the booth, in the back, in the corner, in the dark"

"Call me from the police station"

  • Flip will NEVER b too old! Love it!

  • Old is gold.

  • Joe was a heartthrob back in the day. The way he's cracking up, cracks me up too. My goodness, Geraldine is simply the epitome of comic one liners. The way the character Geraldine is always in a sassy, finger popping, dancing mode continues to amaze us. Love that man. Again RIP

  • The way Flip talked and moved (even in drag!) showed how smooth, awesome, and talented he was. RIP, man.

  • Thank you, thank you for posting this video. I used to LOVE to watch the Flip Wilson show. Talent and comedy at its best. Flip was really, really funny back then and is especially so today when what passes for entertainment really isn't.

  • I loved Geraldine...unabashedly sexy. She flirted with everyone, black, white...didn't matter. And she had all the guests cracking up. Genius.

  • Funny stuff

  • We could not leave the house on Tuesday without watching this first. Wonderful, wonderful comedy. I saw Flip Wilson do comedy at the Regal Theater before this ground breaking, top rated show. This is how comedy should be. RIP Flip.

  • Well, it's 10% beaver...pause...... 90% Dacron. Killer works for a guy who owns a Dacron farm.

    Love it

  • Joe's spontaneous laughter and not able to keep a straight face makes this video so funny. Flip's 1 liners are classic.

  • this takes me back to childhood I remember watching the flip wilson show,. sittin' in front of the tv on the shag carpet with my flip wilson doll that i had got at christmas. When you turned him over, the back side was geraldine. There was a string on the doll and when you pulled it you would hear one of flip or geraldine's catch phrases. My favorite of course was geraldine saying "the devil made me buy this dress!" I loved that doll. :-)

  • @toriElena I had one too!!! LOL loved my doll.

  • this is sooooo funny, hilarious, sexy without being vulgur. lol

  • Classic beyond light years,,.. That hair do is the best. I loved this time in life. Comedy was not raunchy. Flip was very talented.

  • Geraldine knew how to make an entrance! She was a force to be reckoned with. Sexy, yes, but never vulgar or crude or mean-spirited. I miss her, and am so enjoying these postings. Thanks.

  • This is truly, truly funny. So classically funny. Flip Wilson was before his time. Just amazeing talent. I truly miss Mr Wilson.

  • Geraldine's entrances were always hysterical!!

  • maybe considered vulgar back then but compared to today's standards it's very tame and very funny.

  • I love how Joe is cracking up.

  • Everytime I walk pass a guy that I think is hot, I mentally do that little dance Geraldine always does X-P "In the booth. . .in the back. . .in the corner. . .in the dark. . ." ^_^ LOL

  • why can't we have these types of show anymore, im 22 but i hate my generation, everything is sexual

  • This is so funny. LMAO

  • I remember The Flip Wilson Show so well even though I was a small child. Geraldine was my ultimate favorite!!!! I even had the Flip Wilson/Geraldine doll that talked........great memories.

PS - Geraldine was a fashion icon! She was always sharp!

  • @mtgrif4 YOU KNOW! I HAD FORGOTTEN THIS FACT TOO, THANKS FOR REMINDING ME. NOW, I EVEN REMEMBER HER CHARACTER BEING IMITATED BY A LOT OF ADULTS, LOL.

THANKS FOR REMINDING ME OF THOSE GOOD TIMES. I'M SURE YOU CAN IMAGINE HOW I'M FEELING RIGHT NOW!!!

  • It's so great to see how much FUN both Flip and Joe are having doing this scene!

  • Flip thanks really Great.

  • pure genius on both their parts!

  • Two points: it is interesting to note that Namath and Geraldine are definitely "on the same page." This artificial world of hers is his real world.

Secondly, when you have everything in life--looks, personality, brains, money--the rules of existence change. Instead of saying yes to more and more, you have to say no to more and more. Otherwise you will wind up an impotent alcoholic at 45.

  • What is interesting is that Namath and Geraldine are definitely "on the same page".

  • "It's 10% bever" I think that went over the audiences head.

  • It's Bush's fault!

  • absolutely hilarious!

  • flip wilson is so funny, wow joe namath is so sexy, they make a great comdey team

  • he is!!! and a smooth talker too!

  • Look at Joe laughing it up so much. That is the sign of a true talent when you can break a straight face. Plus he is not reading it off a cue card like they do on sketch shows now.

  • Flip Wilson was talented and hilarious. Joe Nameth was HOT!

  • You can say what you want about Joe Namath, but I bet he's lots to fun to have as a buddy.

  • I'm sorry, Flip has better legs than I do!!! That was the show back in the day!!!

  • There is a quality to Joe Namath that, despite all of his fame and success, remained back country Beaver Falls forever.

  • Wow , this so funny without being vulgar and crude .... Orignial Comedy at its best.

  • That is so very true.

  • This was the America I used to dream of coming to. It was clean, respectable and that sophisticated comedy. Not the hateful and litigious America even in comedy today.

  • Flirtatous, funny comedy, innuendo at it's finest, sexy without being vulgar, I miss those days.

  • @LUVJONZ99 It's as vulgar as it could be but you need a lewd imagination and vocabulary to appreciate it, both of which I fortunately have.

  • @LUVJONZ99 Its as vulgar as hell if you know the "other" meaning of certain words.

  • why does Joe walk with such a stoop?

  • I love the Flip Wilson show!!

  • this video is so funny omg

  • That skirt is cute.

  • Is that shade of green called "puce"?

  • HA HA HA HA!!!! I had NO idea flip wilson did this sort of thing! you know what this is like? Madea! that's what this is like! this is too funny! thank's for uploading, I really like this.

  • geraldine was flips greatest accomplishment, thank you flip for all your wonderful hours of hilarity!!!!!!!

  • OMG i soooooo need a Geraldine character for

    Second Life!

OMG she was sooooooo funny ! ;)

  • Eeee that'd rock! I had a Geraldine Sim once, with +10 outgoing.

  • "Dont Fight The Feeling! Whooo!" HAAHAA

  • Joe was so hot in the day! Flip is so damn funny!

  • "What I know about the equipment."

  • broadway joe - was so handsome

  • "He marched down the football field of my life and tore down the goal posts of my love. Ooooooooh Touchdown!!!!"

"in the booth, in the back, in the corner, in the dark"

    What brilliant comedy dialogue!

  • LOL!

  • Without Flip Wilson, you would not have Martin Lawrence!

  • I think Martin Lawrence is a vulgar bore. Flip Wilson wasn't always funny either, but this sketch with Joe Namath is brilliant!

  • ooooooh TOUCHDOWN!!!

  • I love Flip as Geraldine; and for folks who don't know Broadway Joe was one helluva Quarterback who partied all night long and then got up the next day and threw 3 or 4 touchdown passes. They don't make human beings like this anymore. Thanks for posting this!!

  • Unfortunately, all the partying seems to have taken a heavy toll. I like him but time has not been a friend.

  • LMAO - too much ... Classic !!!!

  • Flip Wilson and Milton Berle. Two of the greatest female impersonators.

  • I wish it was the 70's again, I miss Flip Wilson

  • THE VERY BEST! THANK YOU FOR THIS!

  • I'm sorry but Geralding was one of the best comedians. Flip betta watch out. He could almost land a real man w/o even thinking abt it.

  • Just laughing my ass........OFF!!!

  • Flip Wilson

  • Just great - thanks for posting! Wonderful to see this stuff again. Especially Joe in all his gorgeousness of the 70s.
