This movie was pretty good for a realism aspect. The camera footage was a bit of a headache, but I liked the style of the Norse Characters. Very brutish. This film could have done without the shit scene though, to be honest...

I loved the movie, especially the spare dialogue and then fact that the action scenes were restrained, unlike most films of this genre. I empathized with the 2 characters lost in the wilderness, it was like being there, the way it was filmed, almost but not quite part of the action, like a voyeur. I loved it!

it would be great if they actually spoke old norse, or rather old norwegian norse. they don't. they've apparently ripped random sentences from modern swedish movies and claimed it to be norse. something like "i'm crying" is subtitled as something completely different. as a western norwegian and somewhat decent in old norse this pretty much ruined all the dialogue for me.

Awesome trailer. The chopping of the axe kept the pace going through different shops, then ultimatley intro's a song at the end. Visually looks like any other indie movie. Actually there is a heap of surmounting evidence suggesting that the North of North America would have been easily accessed by the Vikings because of the close vicinity within the Arctic circle. But it would have been much longer before this and the Norse people didn't settle many other places other than their homeland, but a colony of some kind purely for resources would make sense.
