  • theres way's to hack the os system in-order for you to play such games, that are meant for the operating Pc.

  • torrent??

  • Yeah have fun buying a new 1500 dollar computer in 2011 when ill be just changing my graphics card.

  • fags

  • wats ur specs

i have the same macbook pro with a geforce 8600, 4 GB Ram and 2.4 GHz

  • Will running Vista on macbook pro cause it to vernable be to viruses and spyware? Cause i heard it is more possilbe for it to be infected like a PC.

Lastly, could i run XP Professional and still play something like Bioshock...OR does it have to be only Vista?

  • You have to set up a partition on the hard drive for Windows, and yes, that partition of the drive will be open to viruses and problems that currently exist with Windows. BUT, PC magazine said that the best version of Windows is run on a Mac.

  • no dude u were right the first time its spelled Fenix

  • how did you get this to work

  • Put windows with bootcamp, and then if your lap is good you can play

  • this is my favorite part in the game

  • that seemed way easier than normal. on hardcore the berserker makes like 45 degree turns at the last second and here he didnt even flinch. but o well. and a touch laggy during the cinematics

  • INTENSE

  • first off, is that vista or xp and is it 32 or 64 bit? I'm getting xp home edition and was wondering if it is worth upgrading to 4gb of ram from 2gb. Second, is it worth the upgrade?

    Thanks

  • it's vista 32 bit, if you're getting xp than there is no need to upgrade to 4 gig of ram because 2 gig is good enough even for gaming.

  • actually you should definately NOT get 4 gigs of RAM for xp because xp is not capable of recognizing 4 gigs of RAM... only 3.

  • so what would be the downfall of having 4 gigs of RAM with xp? i have 4 gigs and running xp. does it run better with 2gigs? i've only played fear and its running pretty nicely.

  • well there is no downside except that it is cheaper to get 3 gigs of RAM... since xp will only support 3.. getting 4 would be a waste of money. i have the 4 gig RAM upgrade in my macboook pro but i am running vista so it is utilized... unless you want to use that RAM in osx or you are planning to get visa instead... i say get a 2 gig stick for half the price of a four gig stick and replace one of your 1 gig sticks with it so you have 3 gigs of RAM.

  • its fenix not phoenix

  • Wow dude what difficulty is that? Cuz on the 360 on hardcore your would be dodging far too late, the berserker turns like a b***h.

  • I've got boot camp and windows xp and mac book pro but everytime i try to load the game it keeps saying wargame-g4wlive.exe error what do I need to stop this problem and sometimes it says minimum requirements are needed to play this game. What are the minimum requirements? I know my mac has the capabilities to play this game.

  • at least 1 gb ram, 128mb video card and 2.4 ghz.

  • i have a question, you need parallel to run game on a macbook pro? Or you can just use Mac OS Leopard?

  • parallel sucks at running games, just use bootcamp download it from the apple site, it's free.

  • but do you need to use it? Its still the same computer, no matter the OS

  • correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think GOW was released for the mac, only for pc from the last time I checked.

  • when i was on that stage i got like freeked out when i was playing that stage. holy crap

  • yeah, the berserker does that sometimes, wouldn't it be cool if she was in the NFL she would shatter everybody does anybody agree with me.

  • does this work with parralell

  • nope, when using parallel it uses up too much memory it's like running 2 oses at the same time whereas in bootcamp you're only running one os at a time, os=operating system.

  • are you running boot camp (vista) on your mac and playing gears of war?? And can you use a 360 controller??

  • yes, for some reason my games run better on vista (ultimate) than xp and I haven't tried my xbox 360 controller yet, but I'm pretty sure it's compatible with mbpro since it uses usb cable. "If u like lorissa mccomas check out my new video of her" peace!!.

  • what do u need to run this

  • any macbook pro will do fine but I recommend buying the 07 edition of macbook pros or wait for 08 edition if and whenever they come out that is, I just love mac I'm a machead.

  • I have a Powerbook G4 with 64 MB of VRAM. According to your specs the card you have is 128 MB VRAM which is only twice the memory of my system, though its undoubtedly a better card. Where I know the Macbook Pro is far superior is in it's two processors. And a game like Gears of War I would imagine is hard on system hardware. Do the processors in the MacBook Pro help with FPS and the resolution along with the graphics card? if so, it would explain how smooth this game is running.

  • yes the processors helps, even though my card is only 128 mb vram it's one of the newer nvidia cards that's out for laptop right before the 8700m gt which is only on the dell xps m1730 I'll put up a demo on the witcher later u should definitely upgrade bro.

  • Can i have your windows disc please? i need one :'(

  • What are your specs, what are your specs and what are your specs? How can a card with only 128 MB VRAM run Gears so well?

  • my specs are as follows:2.2 ghz core duo/3 gig memory ram/128 mb grafx card with the latest drive.the game's not perfectly smooth but it's ok also you really don't need that strong a grafx card to max out gears.

  • I read the spec's on their official website, and they say you only need a 128Mb GFX card. Fuck knows what was in my 360 then, can't have been that powerful

  • fps? and what is your video card

  • I don't like using fraps because it screwed up a couple of my games believe it or not but the graphics card is nvidia 8600m gt 128mb.

  • that card is trash

  • So's your face.

  • Really liked the fact that you showed Gears of War (demanding game) on your Macbook Pro. Such a extraordinary laptop (even for gaming). Just a minor setback is that the camera quality and the angle it's positioned is really bad. Really like your video content, so try to show other people with better angle what your laptop is capable of. :)

    Thanks.

  • Yeah, I blame the video quality partially on youtube because I had to convert the original video format from avi to mp4 which u can see sucks ass but yeah the camera angle was my fault I wasn't 100% prepared.thanx anyways.
