  • Immigration rules, man.

  • Scale back our immigration rates. That's the way to reduce the backlog.

  • This was great!

  • Your point is well taken that immigration laws are stuck in a time warp. But that's Congress' fault, not the employees of CIS. They have to follow the laws on the books. If we want change, we've got to get Congress to act.

  • We chinese and indians here in the U.S. are going at it.

  • So cool retro 80's look, music, intruments and functioning process. On a serious note feel sorry for the thousands who wait over 5 to 10 years for any response fom newly named INS.

  • I'm excited by the Plexiglass--it had me laughing--I like the idea of injecting humor on what's been such a bleak, serious and

virulent debate...there's so much to poke fun at. Go Will!

  • I vote for this video! Hope you win, will!

  • here is my vote....hope you win the contest, dude....you deserve it! :-)

  • Simply brilliant!

  • Brilliant depiction of the time warp.

  • a winner for sure!

  • This is about the legal immigration... the USCIS... are you mentally handicapped?

  • "Subtle"... lol but for being painstakingly point-pushing -which it was- not a bad video. in an overdramatized fashion, it certainly illustrates the real-world problems that plague the department of the Immigration and Nationalization Service, although I've heard that employees really do make an effort to work with what they've got. The problem is, they've got nada.

  • Truth be told. The people who work at these places are not friendly at all. They truly look at you like you are an Alien. LOL!

  • your absolutely right, I can tell you from personal experience, they are on a power trip!

  • This is great..I think, as a victim of USCIS, I'd go even further. I know that they cannot possibly match humans to that paperwork because if they could, they could not be as horrible and rude as they are.

  • 1st class video. Humor says more than 1000s of words ever could.

  • great video. i currently am in the process of bring my fiancée here form the Philippines. That is exactly how it seems to be. no help, no answers and always kept in the dark. it take 6 months to approve a packet that takes 15 minutes to review

  • i vote for this. hilarious.

  • Funny and so true.

  • Actually, i would not be surprised that this is how the actual place looks like.

With applications taking YEARS! to process(!!) one can only wonder what goes on in there.

Unfortunately, no one cares about the educated, legal immigrants. Just imagine what would happen if getting a driver license from your local DMV would take 7 months.

  • !!!!

  • really funny and painfully try. nice job.

  • This is a great way to shed light on the absolute insanity of the immigration process!!! Great video! :)

  • Very well done!

  • What a way to make the point! I agree that the actual INS, I mean USCIS is much worse. Let's hope the next INS, I mean USCIS Director that replaces the one recently resigning does a much better job.

  • Great job!

  • Big Kudos.

  • It could not be more close to the truth. I have experienced these issues myself and witness many more... Yeah, I got a chuckle, and I hope this will help change things!

  • Will, glad to know you are still n the case. And things are getting worse.

  • good job will and all!

  • SOOOOOO true!!! great job!

  • I love the humor but sadly it is a very accurate portrayal of the inefficiency and lack of accountability Immigration shows. I mean both ICE and CIS. Sad state of affairs. It needs to change urgently!

  • Will-

Thank you. When we were trying to get the greencard for 9 years, it was a nightmare!! I have many stories. Absurd. It was not Hilary Clinton however, came through for us in the end but the local councilmen in Brooklyn. If

it weren't for them- we would still be on hold. The immigration process is so unfair and inefficient.

  • While the video portrays a government agency as being completely dysfunctional in an operational sense, it concludes by pointing the finger at Congress. The dysfunctionalities of any government agency have less to do with laws and regulations and more to do with hiring good people and giving them the resources they need to work efficiently.

  • You probably don't know that the budget for the CIS has been increased (doubled, tripled, and cuadrupled from 1996 to date) numerous times, the processing fees have been increased more than 200% in less than a decade, and the service continues to be extremely poor. I said that from both perspectives, an Immigration Legal Assistant and as an immigrant myself. All Americans need to know the truth about this diservice to the nation!

  • That information is indeed helpful to know. All I was trying to say was that the remedy for a government worker who shows more interest in his jelly donut than his work should not be to ask Congress to repeal or overhaul the law; it should be to hold the employee responsible for his lazy work ethic.

  • I understand your point too and it would be very reasonable to think that way. I believe that the whole point of the video is precisely to illustrate that this is a systemic problem. Thanks for responding!

  • INS, I mean USCIS, has both resources and good, efficient workers in short supply. It will be well within the sphere of influence of Congress (at least the Senate) to correct this, as they will do Senate confirmation hearings on the next INS, I mean USCIS, Director. Let's all hope and pray that whomever is decided upon be a great manager and motivator to correct all of the problems that face the agency.

  • Great guys. Way to go. Actually they are even worse than this. They are much more arrogant. I love it. Keep me posted for upcoming productions!

  • Well done!

  • Love it!

  • I love this! Thank you! I sent to 20 friends! :)

  • Funny!! And all too true. Great video!
