Dearest Edwina, We will miss u so, what u have done for mothers & babies has been a gift from God. I feel as if I've lost my own mother.
But I know when u reached that Golden Shore & stood in the presence of Christ our Glorious & Almighty Lord & Savior that He looked into yr sweet face & said "Well done, my good & faithful servant."
Thk u, many blessings & prayers r being sent to yr family & the LLL family who have suffered such great loss today.
I lllove La Leche League & the founding mothers! I have been involved w/ this org. since my 1st pregnancy in 1983 as a member & then as a Leader for 20 years. This is the best place to go for info & support. God Bless LLLI & thanks for posting this lovely video!
Thank you so much for posting this beautiful and inspiring video! It is really wonderful to get to know these women better, and I truly feel like they have personally reached out to me. I was finally able to breastfeed my son (who has Down syndrome) after 2 months of pumping, and it never would have happened without the support of LLL.
I remember when I was pregnant not knowing a thing about LLL. I thought it was a group for only Spanish speaking moms. After someone suggested I go to a meeting before baby was due I was so pleased. Here was a way to learn about how to nurse by actually seeing someone do it! I met such nice moms and all so helpful to share what they had learned about everything related to babies & toddlers! They inspired my confidence. I credit LLL for all the help I now offer to new moms!
This is great! Thanks so much for posting this. It's wonderful to see the founders and to have LLL get such nice positive exposure.
When my teenager walked up and looked at the computer she asked, "Oh, are those your friends?" LOL I guess she didn't realize other moms besides moms I know breastfeed and carry babies in slings.
When I was a new mom it was great to be surrounded by other women nursing their babies and passing that info on to me. I was so impressed that I became a Leader to help pass that info on to other moms. I am a much better mom because of what I have learned from the women in this organization. Now that I am not nursing any longer the people, organizational skills & personal growth I have learned thru LLL has helped me to be a better person! Thank you to the Founders!
I went to a couple of La Lache meetings before my baby was born. It was one of the best preparations I could have had for not only breastfeeding, buy mothering as well. Great video!
This is an amazing report! I loved it! As a LL leader, it makes me cry to know that I am part of an organization that has helped so many mothers and babies! I could not be more proud!
Maybe what's *most* beautiful about LLL is that at its simplest - its mothers supporting mothers. I'm so glad I saw this (as I'm nursing my second child!)
