  • This is good

  • "Hur hur someone's singing in baritone, therefore they must be copying off Joy division/The Smiths/Interpol/Editors etc" Shut the fuck up.

  • nothing is original its all recycled. that isn't bad. chill peoples.

  • Chapel Club era mejor opción que Kasabian para el Vive Latino 2012

  • I wish everyone at the company Vevo the very worst of health. Fuck off with your ads, trying to sell us shite we don't need! I wish Bill Hicks were still here!

Great tune, by the way. This band really reminds me of White Lies. Think I'll download the album from iTunes and see what's what.

    Thumbs up.

  • @Curlyman83 Quit complaining about Vevo, what would you rather, three seconds of ads before some videos or paying for Youtube?

  • @elljaywithaMOUSTACHE Youtube, like any other big internet platform, will never be to pay, just because they are made to be free (in the sense of no money) based media. If not, users wouldn't use them. Just the fact is that vevo is a way to get money to Youtube which is a little bit boring.for users. There could be better ways to make money, in a less nasty way.

  • @NuttersForFraggle ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • the lyrics are waaay too cliché for the genre they want to emulate. do not want.

  • they sound a lot like Chapel Club if i'm honest

  • I saw them live yesterday night, they're simply amazing... :) and after the gig they were selling themselves the CD, so I was able to talk to them... yay!!! :D

  • In love with Chapel Club. I've seen them on stage in Paris: THEY ARE AMAZING.

  • I love the fact that they sound like Echo and the Bunnymen!

  • Sounds like Chapel Club and only Chapel Club.

  • HAVE A LISTEN TO US, IF WE GET ENOUGH VIEWS WE WILL BE ON RADIO 1!

  • why do people even care who they were influenced by, they are obviously showing respect for some bands who are nothing short of legends? if you really want to hear a joy division rip off then listen to 'damaged' by cut city, that actually sounds like a cover. i dont think chapel club, editors, white lies, interpol etc sound like joy division at all, other than they are dark

  • If you want a Joy Division rip off, then first goto Editors... then White Lies... then this lot. Surely?

  • jus saw chapel club in bristol. they wer amazing! but they didnt play this song! angriest moment of my life! :@

  • @StevoWithHisMusic Saw them at hmv forum back in january and they did the same, only had half an hour though. But I was still gutted

  • I thought it was Mc culloch,so close , anyway good song

  • Is Mcculloch suing?

  • hur hur, this is clearly influenced by joy division

  • @052947065 aren't we all?

  • oh, i never said it's a bad thing at all. We could do with a few bands like the bunnymen, JD etc right now. No problem with influences at all, they are after all writing great songs.

  • This is great. Wow.

  • i saw them live yesterday! it was amazing

  • stop analysing musical concepts/origins of which you all have no knowledge of (me included) and of which are purely subjective

  • @invictorium lol that sentence makes no sese

  • Vocally, I think he sounds a tiny little bit like Patrick Wolf tone-wise. This band are bloody fantastic, they're quickly becoming my favourite new(ish) band in Britain.

  • People!!! If you haven't been to see Chapel Club yet, firstly, why not?? Go and see them if you get the chance-they are tremendous live. And a nice bunch of fellas too :)

  • They were on Jools Holland last nite - excellent!

  • I fully agree with the comment of burtr; its the reincarnation of Echo and the Bunnymen, but then in a more adult sound. But I hear a clear Joy Division sound (singer voice?). They must be influenced by both bands.......

But great compliments; new sound, good lyrics and dary.

    New fan from Holland

  • the question i ask my self is. would i buy or down load the album and would i buy a ticket to go see them.

the answer is, too bleeding right i would. yes, bunny men with a bit of smiths/order twist but that's a good thing, init!!!

  • Atad slow on the up take here I know just heard these recently, totally blown away by them, the sound is fucking awsome, takes me back to the days of the "shoe gazers" of the late 80's, the huge build up into a massive fuck off wall of sound, wow!! I love it! "Kingcroak" your spot by the way.

  • Sounds very similar at times to the Twilight Sad,,

  • such an awsome band ! definatley in the top with the smiths and the XX for me !

  • Why knock talent ? if i had a band and could sound like that ide be well chuffed, tho i think the name has dark undertones !

  • guitarist blatantly influenced by my bloody valentine.

  • This doesn't sound anything like Joy Division to me, they have a good sound though.

  • fantastic song, really really like it and look forward to their album. i love the slight echo and the bunnymen tone to the vocal and gripping guitars. Anyone who says this band sound like Joy Division have clearly never ever ever heard Joy Division. Have some belief in new music you frightful bores :)

  • When the guitars kick in at just over 3 seconds it makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck... favourite band of 2010

  • o_O Good? Nope.....A W E S O M E!!

    Peace = ]

  • i dont care who people say there influenced by, there my favourite upcoming band and im very much looking foward to their debut album to come out.

  • rather be influenced by joy division than cliff richard or some shit

  • Sweet :D

  • Besides everyones points about who they sound like...they're fucking class!!

  • saw these at underage festival, bloody brilliant

shame they haven't got an album out yet

  • Love this new band

    x

  • kingcroak, i think its great that the bunnymen sound is being introduced to a live audience again. Chapel Club are really good, and I've never thought there is anything wrong with having influences, as long as it is done well, and slightly differently.

  • i wish he didnt sound like morissey :( love their music though.

  • I'm agreed with BiggDave 18........absolutly sound like Joy!!! good job

  • I hate it when people say 'hur hur, this is clearly influenced by joydivision/the smiths'.

You aren't being smart, you're just pointing out the fucking obvious. It's not a bad thing, I mean the bands that these guys were influenced by were clearly good bands. I mean, what would you rather them be influenced by?

  • @kingcroak Exactly, every time I see someone comparing contemporary bands to bands who used to have a cult following I think to myself: "what would you prefer then? Bands who are influenced by 70's disco and freejazz?" or maybe even whale and woodpecker sounds.

  • @kingcroak totally agree, people complain there's no good music these days then as soon as a good band turns up they say 'oh just copied off the smiths', well fuckin hell just dont listen to music then

  • @kingcroak you're absolutely right. The Smiths and Joy Division were influenced by others too (Wire, Buzzcocks, Orange Juice, The Byrds...) and there's nothing wrong with that, in facts nobody have ever complained about their influences. This is because years ago people used to listen to the music, while nowadays they seem more interested in detecting influences rather than enjoying the songs.

  • @Cnaeus The thing is that the way people react to music has pretty much been the same as always. The kids who used to listen to the smiths back in the day were exactly the same as the people who listen to bands like The Killers now (not to compare the two.)

There's always been people convincd that old music is 'better' and every time they encounter some really good modern music they delude themselves by saying they're ripping off Joy Division. (Why always Joy Division?)

  • @kingcroak I thought it was more My Bloody Valentine, but in a good way!

  • can someone tell me if they have released any album ? cuz i cant find any info about this band , a wikipedia page doesnt exists lol and i really wanna buy an album :(

  • Reminds me a bit of Joy Division...

  • I love this so much.

  • @GreatExpectations93 Yeh, i feel the same too. And I think the guitar has something to do with it.

  • Chris Martin ? LoL

  • Comment removed

  • not Smiths at all really... its Echo and the Bunnymen reincarnated.

  • i love this tune - v.The Smiths influenced, me thinks! xxx

  • please play leeds festival

  • @GreatExpectations93 I think this one has better lyrics tbh..

  • I really love this song, when's it coming out for download? Does anybody know?

  • AH AMAZING!

  • True

  • Love it!
