  • Fabulous !!!!!

  • everything on my table on thanksgiving this year is from laura

  • Im going to try this. I cant wait!!

  • I notice in your videos that you use unsalted butter, yet you add salt later on. Wouldn't it be easier to use regular butter instead? I hope you have time to answer my questions. Thank you for this great video. Lynn

  • @kevico2 Hey, I'm not Laura but I think it is in an effort to control the seasoning to your taste. I too only ever use unsalted butter, for this reason and also because it is versatile. For eg, I wouldn't want salted butter on my toast.

  • @kevico2 I noticed the same thing and wondered. I always hate to ask because I know these cookers/chefs get so much grief on things. But I was scratching my head on it too lol.

  • 2:42 Suprises me that you don't use a mezzaluna.

  • My family has a secret recipe for turkey and I have never had one better, but yours does look super yummy. What does basting actually do to the turkey?

  • @vampvswolf Basting keeps it moist. There are as she said other methods brining before hand long process. I have also used a oven bag. It's all about keeping the turkey moist.

  • The purpose if putting a Apple in the turkey us to take away that weird meat stench that turkeys give off while cooking

  • ugh this looks amazing!!

  • thumbs up if you didnt make this

  • @EatingMuffin i didnt make this im small

  • This is what I`m talkin bout right here! Happy Thanksgiving!

  • @LegitThaao Because Thanskgiving is next week and some of us plan ahead.

  • @cozzyk read the question again.

  • mmm i can't wait for thanksgiving! my family is going to my aunt & uncle's house..but my dad always wants his own turkey at home. i am going to make this for him, he doesn't really add any kind of flavoring and i bet this delicious!

  • @mrsmaz123 the bah with the giblets was removed as soon as i brought it home from the store. So no there are no bags inside the turkey, just veggies

  • I love your nailss

  • its not even thanksgiving yet so what will you be doing with all this food your making?(:

  • @17hnguyen EATING!!! :)

  • haha what an awkward episode

  • Great video. Making me hungry.

  • what would be the cooking time for a 8 to 10 lbs turkey?

  • @peaceandluv01 Good question! I like using a $5-$10 "roast thermometer" (google the image if needed). You stick it into the thickest part of the bird's breast meat (don't let it touch bone). You leave it stuck in the bird while it is cooking. Simply wait for the bird to come up to proper temperature. EASY! :)

Test any thermometer for accuracy before first use with a pot of boiling water. It should read within a couple degrees of 212*F, or 100*C. The tip should only contact the boiling water.

  • @ZombiedustXXX Part two. You can even try this on a chicken before turkey day! The nice thing about using a roast thermometer, is that works for any size of bird or roast. Those plastic pop-ups turkey indicators that are found stuck into store bought turkeys are total junk. Never trust them.

    Good Luck!

  • This recipe is so similar to the one I use every Thanksgiving. Except most years I do put my turkey in a simple brine. Love watching your Thanksgiving episodes, makes me get excited to cook for my family on that day! : ]]

  • Try roasting the turkey breat side down. The best thing to ever happen to turkey!

  • @CALLMEEB00 Thats totally true! it will be so soft! cant understand why laura is not doing it in that way...

  • I think her favorite word might be "moist".....

  • @latinabeeotch417 I think it might be "go ahead"

I was getting a little worried about this Thanksgiving because I usually host, but last year I was pregnant and about to have my son and WAS NOT in the holiday mood! haha So I didnt do Thanksgiving, and I feel like I needed a little refresher course on how to do all this stuff! • like if you saw this turkey on the mashed potato video :)

  • It is true what Laura said about the garlic

It is so strong because of the center.

Cut this center away and you have a less stronger taste !!

  • Great video and turkey, nice job! Are you making another turkey for thanksgiving?

  • 5:13 Did someone fart?

  • Thats how she rolls, lol <3 ur videos Laura! Keep em coming!

  • I know this is off point but I love your nail polish :)

  • i love it when you're like

    "...WOOAHHH" xD

  • kinda disappointing cuz i wanted to see what was ur reaction when u tasted the turkey cuz it looks so mouthwateringg D:

  • @iamthedragonslayer did you really think she was going to cut the whole turkey right now? its a big deal.

  • Do the onions just add flavor or do the help make the meat tender too?

  • Delicious!!!>V<

  • I've always wondered, how did people use to do before chicken cubes were invented? What is the old equivalent of chicken stock? How do you make it from scratch?

  • @TheGodOfPegana you just make it yourself, cooking a complete chicken with some herbs and vegetables. Just google 'making chicken stock' and you'll find plenty of easy recipes. Still WAY BETTER than cubes... but cubes are a very good invention for our busy lives of today..

  • @grietje02 Wow so you would actually have to cook a chicken JUST to use the juices for another recipe! I now understand why I've never seen a cooking video where stock was needed and made from scratch! Thanks for replying.
